Such a gift; such a tragedy.

    • @heatherstub

My dear fellow music fans: It may seem like a tragedy, when, in fact, it would have been a much greater tragedy if we didn't have this beautiful and timeless recording to enjoy. So, instead of focusing on what we're missing, take the time to be thankful and render the gratitude to whom it may concern. Consider what we have here and so much more, and you may just run out of reasons to be gloomy and half empty!
      Thank you. @@willhanley4954

Thank you Theo. Anyone here end of '22 and we enter the 3rd cold quadrant since the Before Times?? This Masq. holds up without qualification; a brilliant amalgam, made bittersweet by the passing of two sublime talents to never pass this way again. Here's to hope and love to you in the coming year, my tender friends.

    Juan

'Impressions' is a Spyro Gyra hit??? Really??
John Coltrane composed it in the early 60s. It's a jazz standard, and Spyro Gyra might be one of 10000s of musicians/bands that have covered at one time or another.

Funny😂🤣 one would think by his experience and age “never say never” is a humbling part of aging and rarely possibly a part of life! Still admire him except the bad fashion statement of white shorts can’t remember the time or song. But he is a musical phenom and so thankful for all of them. Miss Lyle there seemed to be the best of humanity in him.

Cut offs fine, bermudas ok but not short shorts. It’s not because I’m old-- don’t know why. Especially white!!! I also believe in the Memorial Labor Day when wearing white rule. John Stimson This is a bootleg video so there isn’t a official release for sale. My video came from this download link: t.cn/AiEengeI There were also other performances by Pat during that festival with Brecker, Christian McBride, and Antonio Sanchez. You can buy them from some Japanese bootlegger shops such as 50record.com and use a mail forward service to send it to where you live.

As WL said, you can find some Japanesse copies on the net, that's true. I bought one recently as a gift for a friend of mine, and unfortunately the video quality is bad. The worst part is that audio quality is bad too. Just like in the UA-cam version, the same bad sheet. I'm very disappointed. Now I have a 45€ sheet at home XD XD XD.

Sorry but the voice really kills this beautiful song and arrangement. I know the singer is also a great trombone player, but his voice does not work for my ears, even trying to accept that, in jazz, improvisation is almost a must, his voice sounds like a vague intonation. I think this would work great with the voice of a professional female singer as was employed in the First Circle arrangement.
