As to why Angstrom did it in a non-empty dimension: Cecil finds them by noticing massive spikes in the power grid. Power grids do not exist in empty dimensions.
that argument doesn’t work when there’s infinite dimensions with infinite scenarios. surely a universe with a powergrid without cecil or superheroes exists lol
46:00 I mean, Nolan's whole schtick was that he couldn't kill his son. In fact, in the end of the duct tape man scene, Nolan walks toward Debbie who's back is turned with a frown but stops himself and puts his head in his hands in disgust of his actions. He left earth because he had realized that he hated every second he caused death and destruction. He was about to commit suicide by jumping into a black hole. He attempted to atone for his sins by helping another species. He later says "You don't understand, I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO FEEL THIS WAY! HOW IS THIS ANY BETTER?!" with tears in his eyes (JK Simmons is a godly actor man) and Mark replies "This is how you should have felt on earth." which causes Nolan to recoil a bit in the realization that he always felt empathy and was completely different from most of his race because of the empathy he gained from Debbie. He understands in that moment that allowing harm to occur is the same as inflicting it yourself. The thing with Nolan is that he knows good people from bad people, which from his unbringing as a Viltrumite he likely never got to understand. It was only after 17 years with Debbie that he found the pride in protecting others a lot of men feel (fathers will do nearly anything for their family). I think it's quite well established that Nolan is a supremely conflicted and emotionally tortured character and I love his writing and ofc JK Simmons carries the role hard.
gotta defend one of the sins here in the name of physics! The reason Rudy doesn't go remotely into space is because the latency would be enormous. You can't pilot a drone when it takes 15 minutes for light to make a round trip
Also for Thaddeus and the beard. What he did was called the 'Tooluk pull' and it's where a Viltrumite pulls all his facial hair (except mustache) off without flinching as a testament to their strength and pain tolerance. He did it to prove it to Allen
The teleport tech makes sense that they've not used it to revolutionize public life because at one point he points out it costs some absolutely absurd amount of money/energy every time he uses it. But that just makes the sin using it in non-emergencies instead of a car or even a helicopter.
I wasn't super surprised when Kate showed up again. They usually do something like that with her power. But I did notice back in season one when they'd put together the new Guardian team, that Kate had a 2 on her outfit instead of 1. Though I doubt she left back then, or her and Immortal wouldn't make much sense. Unless she gets memories from her other clones when they disappear.
Love this show but season 2 had so much bad writing (also take away 1 sin for the teleportation, it could improve humanity, but it’s quite literally 5 million dollars per teleport)

Idk how many times I've made this comment before, but I always want to point out how much the thula vs mark scene bothers me. It shouldn't have been even. And I know she took less damage, but this wing chun scene is just too aesthetic. Like its nice to see a good animated fight, but it made much more sense in the comics where his inexperienced and much weaker self was just throwing punches and trying hard to not die from the punches being thrown back. He even almost killed thula when he was holding her by the hair. It shouldn't have been that close. Maybe against the younger guy he fought instead in the comics, but not thula. And Ik no one ever wants to hear about the comics, but to be completely fair they did do some things more reasonably
I really liked season 1, despite the obvious inconsistencies and power levels ... and decisions. But season 2 was just garbage imho. It had some nice moments, but overall... wtf?

Eve literally said "I'm built different."
I would’ve added at least a hundred sins for that mid season break.
It literally didn’t affect the shows writing or animation at all. No sins deducted.
