@@idislikemints you must not be using the right kind of gloves lol fitting gloves do not get in the way. Semi permanent might take a week but those fingernails will take longer. If you’re using a permanent color, it takes longer and your fingernails have to grow out before the color is gone. Trust me. I’ve been a hairdresser for 15 yrs and ive stained them many times. If you bleach your hair without gloves, you’re literally burning your skin. The smart thing is to wear gloves. Period.
@@southernladyish i never said to not wear gloves. Lol. Also I have worn many times gloves for my job since CoVid started and they are frustrating. And I honestly do better with bare hands when applying color in my hair. I have done so many times now and my hands never got stained more than a week, max 2 if it was a really stubborn color. And my fingernails around the same amount of time as well. I just always cut them short so they look pretty decent after a short while. Its not that big of a deal. And I did work once or twice with bleach with bare hands and it was not that bad honestly. Though for sure I would recommend using gloves for it.

Bleach strips all the pigment out of your hair so it will be damaging no matter what kind you use. They do make bleach with bonder added or you can add your own bonder to it. I’m pretty sure they are all professional brands though that require a license. Even with a bonder, bleach will still damage your hair. Bleach can’t nourish your hair. That’s why it’s extremely important to know what you’re doing when it comes to bleach. There’s many important things to factor in before you can bleach it and there’s not really one set of directions. I doubt he will invest in a bleaching kit for this very reason. I could be wrong... but I don’t think it would be very logical.

@@idislikemints you must not be using the right kind of gloves lol fitting gloves do not get in the way. Semi permanent might take a week but those fingernails will take longer. If you’re using a permanent color, it takes longer and your fingernails have to grow out before the color is gone. Trust me. I’ve been a hairdresser for 15 yrs and ive stained them many times. If you bleach your hair without gloves, you’re literally burning your skin. The smart thing is to wear gloves. Period.

Also I have worn many times gloves for my job since CoVid started and they are frustrating. And I honestly do better with bare hands when applying color in my hair. I have done so many times now and my hands never got stained more than a week, max 2 if it was a really stubborn color. And my fingernails around the same amount of time as well. I just always cut them short so they look pretty decent after a short while.
Its not that big of a deal.
And I did work once or twice with bleach with bare hands and it was not that bad honestly. Though for sure I would recommend using gloves for it.
@@idislikemints I would never touch bleach with bare hands and I work in medical labs with blood and organs and have to wear gloves always, it's not noticeable if the gloves fit. Not smart to touch bleach.
@@idislikemints please speak to whoever is in charge of your PPE at work, protective gloves should not be uncomfortable or hard to work with there are different gloves to fit different, for different jobs etc if they are not fitting correctly or are uncomfortable and getting in the way then you are not protected

Bleach strips all the pigment out of your hair so it will be damaging no matter what kind you use. They do make bleach with bonder added or you can add your own bonder to it. I’m pretty sure they are all professional brands though that require a license. Even with a bonder, bleach will still damage your hair. Bleach can’t nourish your hair. That’s why it’s extremely important to know what you’re doing when it comes to bleach. There’s many important things to factor in before you can bleach it and there’s not really one set of directions. I doubt he will invest in a bleaching kit for this very reason. I could be wrong... but I don’t think it would be very logical.
