The 9-1-1 system nationwide is in a state of crisis. Any "shortcut" that does not involve direct intentional human dialing of the emergency number in itself can become an issue. With more than 80% of emergency centers nationwide recently reporting that they are understaffed, anything that potentially adds additional non-emergent workload to already meager staffing levels can prove disastrous. Right now, anything that potentially increases non-emergent call load is only adding to the burden and slowing response to real emergencies. Plus, I have to wonder how pushing a watch button five times is any faster that pushing 9 once and 2 twice?
My sister and I were just followed tonight and I took out my phone to dial 911. Thank you for this! I feel a lot more secure!

It does it on its own in my pocket,no need for instructions.
Why is this tutorial needed? I was told that Crime is down.
Both Android and iPhone "My Shake Alert". I chose UC Berkeley/Earthquake Warning California. It worked 💪🏽
