If i get this correctly, Traveler develops a fond for Earth, but Leda became obsessed with power and if she returns home she'll lose all of it. So Leda decided to secretly have an affair with Cygnus in Eternyx and planned to rule the Danceverse together, raised Jack rose to be in her shadow and berate him because he acted too much like his father, The Traveler. It wasn't Traveler who cheated on Leda, it was Leda who is hungry for power and cheated on Traveler with Cygnus so that she could maintain that power. Traveler, confused or maybe heartbroken, later met Si'ha Nova and had Wanderlust. That makes Wanderlust and Jack Rose half brother.
I was thinking that the Traveler was too focused on his job that he unintentionally neglected Leda and Jack, which led to Leda feeling unloved and unappreciated. Darkest Hour could be Leda lamenting the life she wanted with The Traveler but never got. Also, I think Leda grew so powerful that she felt she no longer needed Cygnus and broke up with him. Beggin could either be Cygnus begging for her back or him realizing what he’s done and begging the people for forgiveness.

Wow! So, The Traveler IS the father of Jack Rose (making him and Wanderlust half brothers). That explains why he was trying to perform that trick as a child back in Locked Out of Heaven, where Nightswan was displeased with him. He was performing his father’s signature move! And Cygnus was singing to Nightswan/Leda in Beggin. I don’t know about you guys, but in the end, it looked like Cygnus was afraid after seeing what Leda was capable of doing. But it could have easily been that way due to the white face paint.
Love all of the cameos in this, The Traveler, young Jack Rose, young Night Swan, the coach from Beggin, and young Mihaly. Side note, young Mihaly looked adorable and the choreography was beautiful
I think as a side note, this song is really aimed at the fact that Leda's eye are pink/purple and when she turns into Night Swan, her eyes are yellow. Clearly it's IN HERE EYES!!! (pun intended) and the fact that it's almost like Cygnus is representing The Weeknd's part and Leda is representing Doja's verse, soooooo yeah... Also Cygnus, stop being toxic pls...
SEVERAL notes lol: 1. The choreo is genuinely perfect. It’s so easy to overlook cuz it’s a lore map and there’s a LOT to look at with the background, story, and characters, but the musicality and choreography for the chorus and the little rap part after the second verse goes with the music SO WELL 2. We get more background on Cygnus, with him being the architect and designer in a way for Leda/Night Swan, but something must’ve happened along the way that separated the two 3. The background/lighting is absolutely beautiful. Maybe just me, but a lot of the JD25 maps don’t look as great as the past 2 years, even if it’s just a little, but this map is put together SO well and one of the most visually stunning in the series 4. As someone who REALLY loves male choreos, this would’ve easily been my favorite of the year if it was a duet. Ik that’s basically impossible with the intro being focused on Leda, but the moments with them dancing together really make me wish it was possible

We might have not gotten a story mode but this song goes pretty heavy on lore and destroys a ship like nobody's business. What I really like/hate the most is how Darkest Hour sucks a lot because this gives a lot more sense to Leda rise being Sweet Dreams (are made of this) her Magnus Opus, the moment of no return and change. Traveler fell in love with earth, Leda wanted power. Everyone was looking for something. Traveller maybe wanted for Leda to go back and maybe for the whole family to be perfectly normal humans but Leda craved power so she travelled the world and the sevens seas until she found Cygnus. She started an affair in order to get her fill of power. So she used and abused Cygnus. Now the question is if he wanted to be used or abused because it's pretty clear that Cygnus lost his head for her and in his love, he became the architect of Leda evil plan. Now Beggin' makes more sense, he was singing/dancing for her. Sure the affair is horrible and was not expecting to have a topic like that on JD but now it makes sense as Cygnus might still be in love with Leda even after realising the monster he created, even after he was used and abused, tossed aside and forgotten when his usefulness stopped. Because we can see here that Leda became the most important thing for the city as exemplified by the statue of her that towers every building at the end. She got the power she craved and now she is plotting something else, something more heinous. Which is a shame because unless we get a season for lore, we will have to wait for one year. Also the ship with Wander and Jack is destroyed and wow, half brothers? That's crazy and now we know why Jack is Black Swan "treasure". She saw her kid trying to mimic his dad and girl did not like it so behind Traveler's back she also took the kid away, good thing Jack turned out good but man this song was heavy on lore. It's a shame that Sweet Dreams was turned into Darkest Hour because it was more fitting to the overarching theme, however with this song the story feels more complete.

i gotta take the good (this map confirms my theory that cygnus was the one who set leda on the path to her perfection and power obsession and is most likely the architect for the city of cygnus) with the bad (this map all but confirms that the traveler is jack’s dad).
I think so too, but at 1:10 it shows that leda can control this purple liquid(I have a theory that it’s dark flow) I think the beggin coach helped her master it some type of way.
Cygnus (from beggin the coach) has nothing with corrupting here, Leda learn how to use the flow in Murder in the Dancefloor with Traveler and perfectionism and other circumstances lead here to who we know in story mode
I don’t think he corrupted her with dark flow, more like he supported her and her desire to stay here instead of going back to Earth. Even built her a city and everything since he loved her. Leda is shown already controlling the dark flow at the start…
Ok, here’s the story I’m getting of what we know thus far: The Traveler brought Leda into the Just Dance world and fell in love, but Leda fell in love with the power he wielded, and even more for the power she gained. She knew if she returned to Earth, she’d lose that power, so she chose to stay (Murder on the Dance Floor). The relationship between the two led to Jack Rose’s birth. Eventually, Leda became hungry for more power, which led her to Eternyx and to Cygnus. Cygnus was attracted to her, and they had a fling. He encouraged Leda’s hunger for power and, not truly knowing what he’d unleashed, started the dominoes that would cause Leda to transform into Night Swan. She took Jack with her when she left the Traveler, who probably thinks they disappeared or worse, since they were gone by the time he turned around. Fast-forward through two story-modes, Night Swan kidnaps the Just Dancers minus her son, and she’s taking them to that island with the volcano we saw on Cygnus’s monitor in the background to gain even more power, and with it, combined with Dark Discoball and her own powers, Night Swan will successfully take over the Danceverses unless Jack can stop her.
I'm thankful for the just dance team for giving us this wonderful map to make up for the dance verse not getting in this year. but this map has heavy lore and makes more sense. now to make it perfect, please make a season for the lore. don't make us wait for a another year please.
Why the fuck is this what we got in this installment instead of a continuation to the “Dance with the Swan” playlist?! WE NEED OUR HEROES TO BE SAVED, AND NIGHT SWAN TO FINALLY BE DEFEATED!
I heard it’s because they wanted to make this edition more fun (which isn’t a bad thing) but it seems like unfortunately that costed us a story mode (it might also have something to do with the people who hate the story mode but still). So now either we have to wait for the next edition of the game for the story mode to continue or they’ll release bits and pieces of it the events and seasons.
Honestly I’m glad they didn’t go the obvious route with the traveler. I thought he would’ve left Leda and Jack Rose to maybe be with Si’ha Nova, so I’m happy that he was the one left behind in this situation. I mean, he’s still a neglectful dad and partner but at least not a cheater or left his baby mama to fend for herself
I don't think he neglected the two. It's clear from the start that he is planning to bring her back to reality cause she does not belong in danceverse. But Leda doesn't wanna and she took Jack Rose with her while he was busy

In the start you can see that Jack is trying to get his attention but he’s too busy with the portal and Leda looks disappointed. Of course that doesn’t excuse the bad things Leda was going to do later, but it looked to me that her lover and son were the only people she had without a support system, so seeing the traveler more busy with finding earth was the last straw to leave and build something for herself
I think the Traveler is focused on the Earth because he really cares for Leda and knows she ran away from her problems. He knew that he didn't have a way to get to earth, so he got so focused on trying to get there so she could continue her ballerina dream that she threw away or changed. However, Leda doesn't want to go back and is focused on conquering the just dance universe. And I have to agree with the theory below that he was searching for them, but gave up (possibly) when he ran into Shiva Nova. I hope he was still searching for Jack Rose, because Jack needed him. But come on there aren't that many just dance worlds and she has a whole city statue for crying out loud. He could have found him. Edit: I saw the Cupid coach's song in 2025 just dance, and Cupid's magic made him fall/stop in his tracks for Si'ha Nova, so Cupid is the villain in this story until I'm convinced otherwise.
I think there not going to be a story mode this year becuase the song is showing how leda became night sawn and it show who is jack rose dad snd how just dance is going to be dark becuase night swan is going to make just dance darkk
Is it confirmed that The Traveller is Jack Rose's father? I don't know, and this song doesn't make it very clear. I honestly think that the Traveller and Leda (Night Swan) were friends, and she needed help with Jack as he grew up, so the Traveller helped, but he left for Si'ha. Being Jack's father kind of makes sense, but why would he leave Leda and Jack, and then constantly run, only to then meet Si'ha, fall in love with her, get Si'ha pregnant, and help her raise Wanderlust? Also, why would he give Wanderlust something (he gave him the triangle necklace thingy) but not Jack something? It could just be a situation where the Traveller wanted to forget about Leda and Jack Rose, but I don't think so. And people can say 'Well, the Traveller leaving her turned her into Night Swan'. No. She was Performer, but formerly. She must have been rejected, and now she is obsessed with perfection. On her wiki page, it isn't confirmed if she and the Traveller had some love between them, it says potentially. (I'm sorry, I know this is long, but I am very passionate about this topic) Edit: Okay, so i found that The Traveller and Leda were ex's, but on the Traveller's family, it only says Si'ha Nova and Wanderlust, not Jack Rose, furthering my theory that Jack and the Traveller are NOT related. Could just be an error, but these two characters have been out for a while now, and no one has changed this, so I don't think it's an error. Edit 2: About the Beggin' coach, I think he and Leda became friends, close friends, then lovers, but when she got rejected from being a ballerina, and turned evil, then he either left her or she left him. He left her because she was too evil, or she left him because she didn't need love anymore. Another little theory is that he promised her something (when they are dancing at the end, you can see images behind them) and she agreed, turning her into the other version of Leda we see, but she realised that it wasn't what she wanted for her and Jack, so she broke up with him. OR he could be predicting her future, but she was too busy dancing to notice, but only when it came true did she realize, and she got mad at him because he convinced her to go down that path, and she ended up becoming Night Swan (one of the factors as to how she became Night Swan) and they broke up. WHO KNOWS I have so many theories so- ALSO CHILD MIHALY IS SO ADORABLE
You know I’ve learned that unexpected things happens sometimes and that’s okay let’s hope that things will get better for now let’s just enjoy what we have and maybe hopefully in the future we’ll get a story mode

To be fair, we now know that Beggin was Cygnus singing for her. Here we can see that Leda messed around and satisfied her hunger with power as the Traveler fell in love with earth and most likely, he wanted to return Leda back maybe together so the 3 lived together as normal humans but she did not want that. She craved power so she went behind his back, looking until he found someone willing. Cygnus helped her, fell in love and when he realised the monster he created, he felt conflicted as he was basically the architect of Leda evil plans. We now know that we have half siblings on the Traveler family as he had a kid with both Leda and his new partner which is interesting on itself, rip shippers but what interests me the most is the fact that Leda did not intermingled on an intimate level with Cygnus. So even if the affair is bad, I feel bad for the poor guy. He was in love and he was used and disposed of when his usefulness ceased to be hence Beggin'. He still feels something for her. Sad we didn't get a proper story mode this year so we will have to wait eother for a season to be our Lore expansion or till next year which sucks a lot! Edit: Also now going back to Darkest Hour as this song happened between MotD and DK, it suck even worse that DK was not Sweet Dreams as it was originally because with this lore bomb, yeah it's way more fitting and yeah Cygnus got used and abused as the song goens but the question now is if he wanted it or not? Because if he did, that says a lot about the character.

A dance coach named Dina, who dances as the character named Asterina in the song Training Season by Dua Lipa did a stream, and someone asked her if Asterina could possibly be Jack's real mother, but I don't know if she answered the question, so I could be wrong, but her hair color looks around the same as Jack.
This explains a lot on what people possibly thought of the Traveler, but it was Leda all along, all she wanted was power, and to be better than everyone else, so her evil plan was planned all this time, and all her other times in the danceverse was just her getting everything ready to go for her plan, and for Jack Rose, it looked like he wanted to stay with the Traveler, since he is his father, but he knew that he could not disobey his mom Leda, so he had no choice but to go with her, and maybe Leda has been treating Jack so bad, because he probably most likely reminds her of his father the Traveler, so they may explain why she has always been so bad to him, such as neglecting him, and abandoning him, like she did in Locked Out of Heaven, because he was trying to a dance move that the Traveler did, and when she saw him doing it, she looked at him in disbelief, and walked off. All Jack wants is to be himself, because he really wants to be a performer, where he dances, and sings for people, but of course he cannot do that, because of his mom, but I hope someday that he does officially achieve his dream, save his friends from his mom's control, and is finally able to be free from living under his mom's shadow. But the only thing there is that I do not quite understand is how Jack got his red hair, because neither the Traveler or Leda is red, the Traveler is black, and blue, and Leda is black, and purple, so I just do not really understand how Jack got his red hair. But other than that, all I want for this story is where it is over for good, where everyone is happy with who they are, especially for who they are as a person, not based off what they have.
Someone on Dina’s stream about Training Season asked her if her coach was Jack’s biological mother, which implies that Leda pulled a Mother Gothel on him. I highly doubt this theory is true but still.
@@chloejoyhenry3137 I actually am more starting to believe you on that theory, because the first thing is that Jack looks nothing like Leda, and also Murder on the Dance floor took place not too long ago, when Leda first came into the danceverse, so there is no way a child could have been born, and grown up in a short amount of time between that time, and now, so I think there may be more of a chance that Leda is not Jack's real mother, and that Asterina from Training Season could be his real mother, because they look a lot alike, especially the hair color, I hope that's right, because it does look like it could possibly be true.

i gotta take the good (this map confirms my theory that cygnus was the one who set leda on the path to her perfection and power obsession and is most likely the architect for the city of cygnus) with the bad (this map all but confirms that the traveler is jack’s dad).

Cygnus (from beggin the coach) has nothing with corrupting here, Leda learn how to use the flow in Murder in the Dancefloor with Traveler and perfectionism and other circumstances lead here to who we know in story mode

Ok, here’s the story I’m getting of what we know thus far:
The Traveler brought Leda into the Just Dance world and fell in love, but Leda fell in love with the power he wielded, and even more for the power she gained. She knew if she returned to Earth, she’d lose that power, so she chose to stay (Murder on the Dance Floor). The relationship between the two led to Jack Rose’s birth. Eventually, Leda became hungry for more power, which led her to Eternyx and to Cygnus. Cygnus was attracted to her, and they had a fling. He encouraged Leda’s hunger for power and, not truly knowing what he’d unleashed, started the dominoes that would cause Leda to transform into Night Swan. She took Jack with her when she left the Traveler, who probably thinks they disappeared or worse, since they were gone by the time he turned around. Fast-forward through two story-modes, Night Swan kidnaps the Just Dancers minus her son, and she’s taking them to that island with the volcano we saw on Cygnus’s monitor in the background to gain even more power, and with it, combined with Dark Discoball and her own powers, Night Swan will successfully take over the Danceverses unless Jack can stop her.
I think those three figures on the mural were deities that we don’t know yet.
I'm thankful for the just dance team for giving us this wonderful map to make up for the dance verse not getting in this year. but this map has heavy lore and makes more sense. now to make it perfect, please make a season for the lore. don't make us wait for a another year please.
Why the fuck is this what we got in this installment instead of a continuation to the “Dance with the Swan” playlist?! WE NEED OUR HEROES TO BE SAVED, AND NIGHT SWAN TO FINALLY BE DEFEATED!

I heard it’s because they wanted to make this edition more fun (which isn’t a bad thing) but it seems like unfortunately that costed us a story mode (it might also have something to do with the people who hate the story mode but still). So now either we have to wait for the next edition of the game for the story mode to continue or they’ll release bits and pieces of it the events and seasons.

Honestly I’m glad they didn’t go the obvious route with the traveler. I thought he would’ve left Leda and Jack Rose to maybe be with Si’ha Nova, so I’m happy that he was the one left behind in this situation. I mean, he’s still a neglectful dad and partner but at least not a cheater or left his baby mama to fend for herself

It's clear from the start that he is planning to bring her back to reality cause she does not belong in danceverse. But Leda doesn't wanna and she took Jack Rose with her while he was busy

In the start you can see that Jack is trying to get his attention but he’s too busy with the portal and Leda looks disappointed. Of course that doesn’t excuse the bad things Leda was going to do later, but it looked to me that her lover and son were the only people she had without a support system, so seeing the traveler more busy with finding earth was the last straw to leave and build something for herself

I think the Traveler is focused on the Earth because he really cares for Leda and knows she ran away from her problems. He knew that he didn't have a way to get to earth, so he got so focused on trying to get there so she could continue her ballerina dream that she threw away or changed. However, Leda doesn't want to go back and is focused on conquering the just dance universe. And I have to agree with the theory below that he was searching for them, but gave up (possibly) when he ran into Shiva Nova. I hope he was still searching for Jack Rose, because Jack needed him. But come on there aren't that many just dance worlds and she has a whole city statue for crying out loud. He could have found him.
Edit: I saw the Cupid coach's song in 2025 just dance, and Cupid's magic made him fall/stop in his tracks for Si'ha Nova, so Cupid is the villain in this story until I'm convinced otherwise.

Is it confirmed that The Traveller is Jack Rose's father? I don't know, and this song doesn't make it very clear. I honestly think that the Traveller and Leda (Night Swan) were friends, and she needed help with Jack as he grew up, so the Traveller helped, but he left for Si'ha. Being Jack's father kind of makes sense, but why would he leave Leda and Jack, and then constantly run, only to then meet Si'ha, fall in love with her, get Si'ha pregnant, and help her raise Wanderlust? Also, why would he give Wanderlust something (he gave him the triangle necklace thingy) but not Jack something? It could just be a situation where the Traveller wanted to forget about Leda and Jack Rose, but I don't think so. And people can say 'Well, the Traveller leaving her turned her into Night Swan'. No. She was Performer, but formerly. She must have been rejected, and now she is obsessed with perfection. On her wiki page, it isn't confirmed if she and the Traveller had some love between them, it says potentially.

Edit: Okay, so i found that The Traveller and Leda were ex's, but on the Traveller's family, it only says Si'ha Nova and Wanderlust, not Jack Rose, furthering my theory that Jack and the Traveller are NOT related. Could just be an error, but these two characters have been out for a while now, and no one has changed this, so I don't think it's an error.
Edit 2: About the Beggin' coach, I think he and Leda became friends, close friends, then lovers, but when she got rejected from being a ballerina, and turned evil, then he either left her or she left him. He left her because she was too evil, or she left him because she didn't need love anymore. Another little theory is that he promised her something (when they are dancing at the end, you can see images behind them) and she agreed, turning her into the other version of Leda we see, but she realised that it wasn't what she wanted for her and Jack, so she broke up with him. OR he could be predicting her future, but she was too busy dancing to notice, but only when it came true did she realize, and she got mad at him because he convinced her to go down that path, and she ended up becoming Night Swan (one of the factors as to how she became Night Swan) and they broke up.

To be fair, we now know that Beggin was Cygnus singing for her. Here we can see that Leda messed around and satisfied her hunger with power as the Traveler fell in love with earth and most likely, he wanted to return Leda back maybe together so the 3 lived together as normal humans but she did not want that. She craved power so she went behind his back, looking until he found someone willing. Cygnus helped her, fell in love and when he realised the monster he created, he felt conflicted as he was basically the architect of Leda evil plans.
We now know that we have half siblings on the Traveler family as he had a kid with both Leda and his new partner which is interesting on itself, rip shippers but what interests me the most is the fact that Leda did not intermingled on an intimate level with Cygnus. So even if the affair is bad, I feel bad for the poor guy. He was in love and he was used and disposed of when his usefulness ceased to be hence Beggin'. He still feels something for her.
Sad we didn't get a proper story mode this year so we will have to wait eother for a season to be our Lore expansion or till next year which sucks a lot!
Edit: Also now going back to Darkest Hour as this song happened between MotD and DK, it suck even worse that DK was not Sweet Dreams as it was originally because with this lore bomb, yeah it's way more fitting and yeah Cygnus got used and abused as the song goens but the question now is if he wanted it or not? Because if he did, that says a lot about the character.

This explains a lot on what people possibly thought of the Traveler, but it was Leda all along, all she wanted was power, and to be better than everyone else, so her evil plan was planned all this time, and all her other times in the danceverse was just her getting everything ready to go for her plan, and for Jack Rose, it looked like he wanted to stay with the Traveler, since he is his father, but he knew that he could not disobey his mom Leda, so he had no choice but to go with her, and maybe Leda has been treating Jack so bad, because he probably most likely reminds her of his father the Traveler, so they may explain why she has always been so bad to him, such as neglecting him, and abandoning him, like she did in Locked Out of Heaven, because he was trying to a dance move that the Traveler did, and when she saw him doing it, she looked at him in disbelief, and walked off. All Jack wants is to be himself, because he really wants to be a performer, where he dances, and sings for people, but of course he cannot do that, because of his mom, but I hope someday that he does officially achieve his dream, save his friends from his mom's control, and is finally able to be free from living under his mom's shadow. But the only thing there is that I do not quite understand is how Jack got his red hair, because neither the Traveler or Leda is red, the Traveler is black, and blue, and Leda is black, and purple, so I just do not really understand how Jack got his red hair. But other than that, all I want for this story is where it is over for good, where everyone is happy with who they are, especially for who they are as a person, not based off what they have.
Someone on Dina’s stream about Training Season asked her if her coach was Jack’s biological mother, which implies that Leda pulled a Mother Gothel on him. I highly doubt this theory is true but still.
