"We Will Rock You" is a song written by Brian May and recorded by British rock band Queen for their 1977 album News of the World. Rolling Stone ranked it number 330 of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time" in 2004, and it placed at number 146 on the Songs of the Century list in 2001. In 2009, "We Will Rock You" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Other than the last 30 seconds, which contains a guitar solo by May, the song is generally set in a cappella form, using only stomping and clapping as a rhythmic body percussion beat. In 1977, "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" were issued together as a worldwide top 10 single. Soon after the album was released, many radio stations played the songs consecutively, without interruption.

I am not a fan of Rock, but when I saw the number of drummers and the song to be played, I had to check it out. Most interesting to me was the ages and skill levels of the various percussionists. Some were adding flourishes or tweaking minor things, such as the particular part of their kit they hit, but all was done without disrupting the song. Good drummers all.
Just out of curiosity, what type of music do you like if not Rock?

I was a High School freshman in 1977. We held football pep rallies in the school auditorium. 700+ teenage boys beating this rhythm on molded plywood backs of theater seats. We were the first to experience this. I can still hear it in my head.
Youth is a wonderful time for all of us.

Other bands do have heart- pumping songs of their own, and all of them are unique as well. Every song are amazing in their own ways.
I find it so interesting that some of these younger kids are playing their grandparents music. I'm 74 and first heard Queen when I was 27 and listened to their music all the time. It's great to see this!

I am in my early 50s and I remember riding the school bus in elementary school when this song got played on the radio. The whole bus of students instantly joined in to Freddie and the boys and stomped their feet and clapped their hand . So powerful of a song to unite everyone. One of the best songs of the 70s..

Most drummers can set up a kit quite fast. We're used to having ten mins and under quite often at gigs when we don't have a team of roadies like bands that make it.
If you're not used to setting up music equipment, it can look deceiving. I believe you'd be surprised how fast they did it.
It don’t take brains just the ambition, now they gota pack em all up, I could play that and I’m a guitarist, let’s see em all play fire and then I’ll be impressed
Probably was pretty quick and easy. Biggest issue would probably be transportation logistics how far they had lug their gear.and where they kept all the carts etc.
