Thank you for sharing this whole lecture series with the world. I am learning basic abhidhamma (following along in the book) although it's not easy. These lectures are good to listen to while meditating as well, it's easier to absorb when one is sitting with mind unified pleasantly.

Desiring to not exist seems more like desire or craving. There cannot be avoidance without its opposite. A person wants to avoid life so they crave not existing Still a desire.

I agree with the person who made the comment about sloth. Sloth arises because of abdicating one's own sense of self worth based on being prompted by others or one's own mind to believe and/or do wrong things. It is the disgust and shame that ensues that causes slot and depression.

I agree with the person who asked about sloth. Sloth arises as depression based on abdicating and losing your positive sense of self worth because you allowed others or your own mind to prompt you to do or feel as you shouldn't, and you can't seem to shake the shame or disgust.

why there is not topics of fear in Abhidharma / i think when there is not a penny of mental defilments then fear the word is useless because fear comes from greed aversion and passion

Just a thought and an observation - Avoidance is a compound mental state made up of the basic mental factors ignorance and aversion, if avoiding something there has to be a distaste towards it, this is aversion. and ignorance would be the not knowing right view or choosing not to follow right view.
A lot of the misunderstanding I find in the video is due to not taking into account the fact that mind is constantly streaming through bhavanga where cittas and cetaskias arise and pass away .. so when you are talking about the avoidance, for example, this is made up of a whole stream of cittas and cetasikas arising by dependant origination. So to view only 1 particular citta gets hard because where in time of arising and passing does it fall in your actions - remember - contact - feeling- perception - volition is constantly streaming. Fear also is made up of mental factors arising with its roots in different views,

You wear a monk robe !
Why do you need to wear a Shirt ?
    It's not a Theravada uniform.
