One of the most significant pieces of advice I've ever received was to "never forget where you came from". Following this advice has kept me humble, centered and sane. I am in my own little way the theme park of my past. Dolly is my hero!
that's a 4 star hotel compared to what we had growing up...lol My parents lived under a bridge when I was born then we graduated to a camper trailer..We had to make trips to town to get water and we used the bathroom outside and took baths in a old washtub outside in which we all had to share the cold water..so I can sure relate to Dolly
I have loved her since I was 5 and I am 11 now! She is my roll-model, my Idol, you name it! I love her and I all ways will! I have never went to Dolly-Wood so hopefully when I do she will be there! Anyone know when she is gonna b there next?
She's a hoot, "be quiet I'm still talking" not very pretty picture of her behavior. Not sure if I really liked how she treated that man on the stage, I think they usually edit her bad crap out but they missed something ive never seen her do. Wasn't a good image of her in my opinion.
Great as she is, It seems like she craves adulation. Almost to the point of insecurity. There's nothing humble about Dolly Parton she is totally show biz superstar and all its trappings. Having said that im pleased she has done well for herself and her community. I wonder how many other millionaires reinvest in their hometown communities! Good for you Dolly.
Dolly is purposeful with her life....and tries to make every moment count being as positive as she can, for her own state of mind as well as to encourage others. It might come off to you that she craves adulation, but truthfully, have a look at all the negative images you hear and see everyday, and then try to recognize the breath of fresh air Dolly brings to the table with her outlook. Everyone should be proud of themselves, if you're not, you're doing something wrong.
