Nice review and well presented as per usual. Touch screen scopes are good if not being used in dirty conditions (oil grease grit) a mouse is easy to clean. Any thoughts on Picoscope reviews, they can be used on touch screen computers or mouse controlled.
The price of TO1204D is around $400-500, 12bit Rigol DHO800 4 channel scope that can be powered by USB can be purchased for less than that. This is where things get fuzzy, one more feature, one more channel , sig-gen, ... and we end up in work bench scope territory. At this price point, I'd pass Hantek and seriously take a look at Rigol DHO800 series.
Is it possible to force 1Gs/s sampling or is it tied to memory length and time base and scope automtically pick the fastest possible sampling rate when either of parameters gets changed ?
Nice review. What is the maximum voltage this will read? Does it update fast enough that it would catch a voltage dropping out for about 1 ms? Also can you set it up to record for days and only record when it hits a trigger when a voltage dropping out? Trying to find something to troubleshoot intermittent issues in an industrial environment
Id like to see a review of their high end absurdly priced gear they have on ali. I had a hantek for my first scope and i donated it because it was utterly horrible. I was going to pick this one up for my other lab but im going to trade my rigol mso5354 with logic analyzer probes for a micsig and so.e differential probes for diagnosing electronic issues in my friends cars. Im taking a massive loss but the micsig is an amazing scope.
Interesting, however I don't think it comes close to the new Rigol DHO814 which I ordered a couple of months ago and am planning on reviewing when it finally arrives.
Hantek have a grey one that goes on sale super cheap and has way more features for half the price on sale. Wait till you want a spectrum analyzer. Ones that have been on the market for almost 2 decades still cost more than a high-end (hobbyist) scope. Haha
@@jstro-hobbytech Couldn't I use an FFT analyzer function in place of a dedicated spectrum analyzer, I mean for intermediate frequencies like below 1 Meg ?
Looks very rudimentary, and the update rate looks slow and you even have the audacity to claim its very fast 12:10, without even relating or validating these facts. Go home.
I bought one of these today.
Agreed: protocol decoding would be welcome.

I second the question:)

Hello, is there any possibility of adding decoding capability and or Auto options for the dream source lab Oscilloscope?
What the second scope do you use from 28:47?
That's a DreamSoureLab's DS4T1012: ua-cam.com/video/lHy2n_vcauw/v-deo.html

1 year ago was a good / excelent dispositive, rigth now existen better product for similar prices
I have a Rigol DS1202Z-E, does everything I need.
@@javiergs7498 The DHO814 is a brand new 12-bit scope.
Keep in mind, this is designed to be a portable scope so not entirely an apple to apple comparison with the DHO814.
@@KerryWongBlog I mentioned the DHO814 as somebody has already designed a battery pack for it and it can potentially run from a power bank.
Does anyone recommend this scope as a first scope for an electronic beginner?

@@jstro-hobbytech can you give the name of the oscilloscope?

I personally don't like touchscreen scopes. They add to the cost. I prefer turning dials and pressing physical menu buttons.
Es mejor el owon
