The standout feature of this device is in how many ways it would disappoint me.
Thank you Kerry! ElectroBananas channel did a complete and very detailed teardown. There was a PTC protection device under the DMM PCB. The soldered in fuses are HORRIBLE!
What is the link to electrobananas video?

Thank you Kerry, an honest review is always appreciated!
Thank you for your honest reviews and tests, they are priceless. 👍🏻
A real honest review. Thank you.
Also, the number of insersions of an mcx connector is very low before they fail compared to a BNC. Even compared to sma, they are terrible. They are good for just a few insertions or static cables.
Excellent review as usual. Thanks for your time.
Nothing beats the Owon HDS2xxx series!
Owon HDS3xxx 🤣
Funny how they pack so much into such a small device. Cute for what it does.
If you have the time and desire, try the ones you tested in the video with the CH2.
CH1 is a waste for me.
CH2 is more usable.
At Ch1, I also noticed that when I set the time base from 200ns to 80ns, the wave amplitudemultiplies.
plus there some problem with the single trigger.
When measuring current, there is a drift, not a little.
Significantly noticeable above 5A.
Thanks, good review. I like the form factor, other than the protruding instead of recessed screen. The user interface seems reasonable too. The scant input protection of the multimeter and odd behavior of the oscilloscope on non optimal timebase setting are almost show-stoppers. The good thing is this device has the potential to be pretty good if it gets better firmware and better input protection for the multimeter.
No unit has yet to displace my Owon HDS-2102S as my tool bag standard carry, not even the HDS-2202S. I’ve also got the Zotek 702 and 703 models, but both have limitations. I have some hope for the 703 because Zotek has been fairly active at updating the firmware and they’ve fixed a few pretty bad bugs. I like the 702/703 form factor because it feels good in the hand versus the larger Owon HDS models. My largest complaint outside of firmware of the Zotek 702/703 is that the BNC jacks are set too far in and a standard Amphenol BNC plug will not firmly click into its detent when attached.

The combo-unit shango066 likes :D
It's a shame that he hasn't discovered HDS2202S yet.
What is FUNCATION??? WOW, no quality control. It's also on the box! and inside this 3-in-1.
That word was stressing me out through out the video, how is even possible no one cared about such a basic an evident error??? that alone is already a big red flag for the device quality... Also the "home" symbol for the menu...what were they thinking?
I just got a free one for evaluation. This may be a minor point, when I first charged it there was no indicator to say it was charging or when it had finished charging. They always have software issues and the move on to the next model before solving them. I need to document stuff. Why can't they have a USB port to save images to memory.
The charging indicator is the least of the problems.
The biggest problem with it is hardware limitations, faulty design and implementation, and software bugs.
I still have the 1013D and the DPOX180H and not all bugs have been fixed in them, I think Fnirsi has already abandoned the project.
Several people pointed out a physical defect in the DPOX180H, but it was not fixed. It got a new exterior design and that's it...👍
I wouldn't be optimistic about this either. A few months and they release another piece of waste and throw it away... Those who bought it will regret it.
Thanks for revealing the TRUTH.
Please test 2C23T ✌️🇨🇱
Probably this device uses different sampling rates for different time bases.
Yea, the sampling rate would contribute to the odd behavior. One good thing about the Owon HDS series scope meters is that they tell you on the border of the screen what the sampling rate is. As noted, the Owon scope meters are able to properly show the envelope of a modulated fast waveform at slow sweep speeds. The HDS-2102S is still my go-to portable unit.
and memory depth... just llke th 1013d/1014d ...
I wonder what's the schematic behind etalon current source? Is it descrete by any chance
I bought one of their first battery-operated oscilloscopes. It looked nice, it seemed to be of great quality but the firmware was terrible in every way, the triggering and single mode were totally hopeless, the interface was poorly implemented. And I see the same problems here. I bought an Owon (VDS1022I). It doesn't promise anything amazing but it works as it should.
Nice review, thank you. Im looking for a little oscilloscope to make measurements in old cassetterecorders, would this be fine, or useless, because of the issues youre telling?
Wich one, with the same display-size would you prefer?
Thanks (-:

Not worth it.
Wong didn't show all the bugs, there are many.
trigger problem, CH1 gives an incorrect measurement, you can't zoom in on a fast time base, and the single trigger doesn't work well either, you don't know how much memory depth is actually used in the current time base, and it's a cosmetic wave, which is not always real. The 20MHz limit does not work. etc.😭
A couple of hours of video could be put together in a cut version just to present the Bugs.😱
Watch a few more videos about this Hantek TO1112.
I avoid Fnirsi and just use Owon handhelds, although the new Zoyi is all right. I just wish someone with combine a 'scope with a thermal camera! I have enough DMMs.
Wouldn't be surprised to see a Osc/thermal camera combo in the future. After all, I have already reviewed a few DMM/thermal camera combos.
Let's hope there is a firmware update very soon. Disappointing.
Did you update the firmware because i'm really disappointed in this scope and would like to know that they fix these problems in the latest firmware
I haven't seen any firmware updates yet.
@@KerryWongBlog There is a V1.7 firmware on the download page. What is the version you have for the testing?
@@potang008 There is an Update Log in the compressed file, which describes what has been fixed so far.
Not the bugs shown above.
I didn't notice any improvement after updating.
the update contains two files. The APP V1.7 and the FPGA V1.5.
FNIRSI goes overboard on keeping the price low, using sub-standard parts to the point where their devices become almost useless.
This is not for the users, just to fill their own pockets with money. Another piece of waste that you will regret if you buy...
Using the same color for all banana connections is penny pinching, a packaging engineer who knows nothing about the electronics industry, or both. I bet the sig gen conn they used is 5 cents cheaper than a BNC. Oddly it looks like the company knows less about this product than previous products. Did FNERSI have a bunch of engineers quit and get replaced by noobs?
Great review but disappointing product, the way it handles waveforms is dreadful ! how did they miss this?? and a third BNC would have meant a re design of there woefully protected meter...cheers
Another halfbaked scope. Seems like they push out as many products as they can without properly designing the functionality. 😡
Not very surprised with FNIRSI poor actual performance.
Looks like a device to skip...
Only plus is a bigger size display.
Full of bugs and too expensive.
chinglish
the youtube provides translation for your word... 😂😂 and amazingly the translated word is the same 🤣🤣
Once in while fnirsi does something usable but most of the tools are an absolute gargage.
The truth is that I don't understand the purpose of buying that garbage, you can get a proper rigol with 12 bit adc for $300 and you know it's a brand with guarantees
I have the Rigol, but Siglent seems better.
Shame on Fnirsi. Is it another try to trick users with some sort of NON-real-time sampling mode? This stuff can't display random signals!
Plus the single triggering doesn't work😭..
That's because it needs several captures to find a signal approximation.
@@sergivaschenko not only that. Now suddenly I don't know during which time base it doesn't work. but in the faster time base it does not catch the signal at all. I wrote to fnirsi, they know it's not a bug. But this was not described anywhere... with my Owon, I can use a single trigger even in the fastest time frame... fnirsi is fooling people again, just like with the scopes of the 1013D/1014D... I'm already scolding myself for buying it... Unfortunately, it's not just software bug, but it still contains a major hardware bug.😭
