    Greatest crowd interaction I've ever seen from muse is muscle museum at shepherd bush 2017

    I'm gonna start with nice reactions! Always constructive and straightforward. And it's always a plus to have that musical knowledge taste in the reactions. I almost never comment on videos either I like it or not but I have to address something that I heard in your previous reaction of Muse. I really wonder who are the fans that have to "defend" the band about their (Matt's) stage presence. They are well known as much among the artists from the industry as the audience to be a serious live band to check out. They are no doubt on another level on the stage. It is no secret. They are literally almost constantly on streaks of winning live performance or live band awards for the last 20 years. Most people that know Muse knows that there is no question about their live abilities. These guys always put on a crazy show. This live performance is a glimpse of what that actual concert was. This is the band after a 1h30 stage presences with Matt running all around and Chris headbanging his life. Give this band a closet to play in and they will make it feel like you're in a stadium. Keep the Muse reactions going! If you wanna end that debate I'll suggest you to watch Plug in Baby live at the same venue and you will have your final answer.

    Good knowledgeable review of the performance, it is interesting to hear what you determine as good interaction with the crowd. I have seen Muse several times and their shows are always entertaining, the interaction is always there but sometimes subtle, special effects are also an essential part of the show.

    For the love of god some gold member request for "Starlight" in the same show, which is the closing song, that's the height of interaction with the public.

    This song is one of my favourites. It's a rare one where I actually prefer the studio version to the live one. Studio you can really hear the heavy guitar in the second verse and the Outro. This song ended the gig for pretty much the whole of the 2nd Law tour. With the Unsustainable tour (which was basically the stadium tour of that era), it was played at the end of the 1st encore out of 2. They were the longest setlists to date from Muse with the most being 25 full songs (and not including the drum & bass Jams that they love doing)

    This is EPIC! The backing vocals are killer! No other band do this no more. It as a Queen epic song spice. Versatile band with the most underrated guitar player in the world!

    This is the better version the official olympic ceremony version wasn't really a live performance, they were asked to mime. So matt pre recorded a live guitar to make it sound authentic with him actually singing. But none of the instruments were plugged in :(

    Love your videos you mentioned Thistle-Stalk in the last video from the Olympics. I sent another video then the other person that requested it. I didn't know about the other video before I watched it on here and was very happy with the version, as a matter of fact was glad you did that one instead. You may have seen my request again and thought it was a new one but I only sent the 1. Sorry for the confusion, I wouldn't put in a request like that unless it was actually really noticeably better. Have a good one.

    them interacting with the crowd depends a lot on the music. Not all songs can do this. a show is longer than 1 hour. and they are always doing different things during the setlist there are moments in the same show that he goes down to the crowd touches his hands while just singing, and others that he is 100% concentrated on the melancholic music.

    They’re a great live performance. Most people who have been to their shows can tell you they’re one of the best. That being said, I would say if you’ve seen the song you’ve seen the song. It’s crazy to be in the audience and watch an incredible performance that’s accurate because so many live bands are terrible in person, but to someone watching on video, the first watch is about the music and the second watch is less so. You want to see something new, and when you’ve already watched their best performances it’s hard to find that. I’m a huge muse fan, and I don’t think your take is far off, people get furious over anyone who doesn’t like every song they release, or every live performance, and that’s heavily unfair. If you said they were a bad band overall and continued to react to them I would think you’re full of it, but that’s far from the case and people need to chill.

    I haven't watch your video yet, so I'll Add my edit at the end...but why oh why having 8 studio albums 3 live and compilations with some b sides, and a new album on the way...why oh why do they ask you to review/react to yet another repeated song, we can barely get muse reactions from you every month and we get this...and I know for sure you will be harsh because that's your policy (and makes sense) But oh well...these Muse fans man.

  • @wewantthecup

    I don't have issues with Muse often, but this edit of this performance will always get a 0.0 from me. It is the one and only time I can recall muse editing a live performance post-production in a major way.
    Everything was as it was at the actual concert... except the final note. Matt did not, and has never hit the final note to this song in a live performance. Yet for this track, they edit in the studio vocal in post. Why? Because it was the finale on a DVD (before the "encore"). I dislike this very much. Especially since the way he sings the note live is perfectly acceptable and sounds good.
    Nothing else in this live take is fraudulent, but all it takes is one BS edit and I will disown it. So for me, the live performance is great, but the editing ruins the true experience.

    • @N13TheGeneral

      I saw them at the Etihad in 2012 and he definitely hit that note at the end. I remember because my girlfriend always laughed at the note because it was so high

    • @wewantthecup
      @wewantthecup 2 роки тому

      @@N13TheGeneral With all due respect, I think you are mistaken. I think he did hit a high note, but not the one from the studio take, and not the one from this DVD version. I am looking for videos of the concert at Etihad Stadium in 2012, only found videos from June 2013, and the ending is with a lower note to end Survival.
      Maybe you're right, but not from any footage I have seen.

    Man, understand that from crowd point of view (specially who stands like 300 meters away from scene) there is no big difference whenever a bassist stands still or moves.
    You are evaluating a recording of a concert made from many cameras and edited with a specific intent. And as you know, you can record a clip of the band in an empty room that will convey all the emotions. Or you can shoot a good performance so badly that you will be bored. But for the fan in the stadium, nothing changes. That's why you got so much hate back then. It makes no sense to evaluate the concert excluding the professionalism of the musicians. Think about it, maybe you need to change something in the approach.
    addition: look how judges give a score in figure skating for example

    • @akkimessiah3219
      @akkimessiah3219 2 роки тому +1

      there's no crowd interaction in figure skating, that's a bad comparison. There is definitely a difference if the band has no energy on stage
