My sister used to have a lava lamp , and I used to turn it on and just stare at it for hours when I was stressed or overwhelmed. Turns out I'm autistic and lava lamps are a good form of visual stimming, which explains a lot, but yeah. Unfortunately, my sister moved out a few years ago and took the lava lamp with her, so this is the next best thing (that sounds like it isn't nearly as good, but really it's just as good other than that I kinda prefer the blue/purple of my sister's lava lamp, and also hers doesn't have ads.

My 5th grade math teacher had 2 lava lamps in her room one green and the other blue. I loved staring at them after so got done with a test and didn’t have anything else to work on because it made me feel calm when I was worried about my math test since math is my weakest area. I got a lava lamp that is well a bit old, wax not melting correctly, sticking in tiny blobs to the glass, etc. Thinking on changing it so I went here to watch how a lava lamp should act unlike mine
The lava lamp here at home it severely under powered. After hours upon hours of gradually heating up, it may eventually vomit up a single, massive bubble that lazily trundles halfway up the lamp before wobbling back down and merging back into the lethargic pool of red at the base. I need one that's more like the one in this video.
I have an old lava lamp that hasn't been used in 4 or 5 years and the gelly is all hard and wont float around but I keep turning it on all night and it keeps getting better so I looked up yellow lava lamp so I would know what its supposed to look like XD
