I adore Lucie. Warm, loving, open and fair, a wonderful example of a Human Being. Her fabulous parents must be very proud of her still. Plus, she looks utterly beautiful.
I love Lucie's honesty and forthrightness. Yeah, she got a break being Lucy's daughter, but she worked hard, and very much like Liza Minelli, carved out her own niche.
Every time I watch one of your shows I say, “this is the best one yet!” I was blown away by this interview. First off, the chemistry between Harvey and Lucie was off the charts. The interview progressed like a well rehearsed Broadway show. I knew very little about Lucie Arnaz’s career, family or her personality. What an admirable, inspiring woman. I’ve always thought of Ms. Arnaz as the daughter of Lucy and Desi. No more! She’s so well-spoken, accomplished, insightful, talented and bright. Heading over to her website now to learn more. I’ll be first in line to buy her biography when it’s published. Harvey, you hit this one out of the ballpark.
Wonderful, Harvey! Lucie Arnaz is a vibrant artist and most gracious soul. Thank you for reminding of her vast and diverse accomplishments. She is adept at making each interview fully fresh--and she has certainly done many. Your insightful questions, Harvey gave Lucie a delightfully deep forum...this is a gem of a "thinking interview" for we who love Lucie!
I agree with an earlier comment…every time I think I’ve seen your best, you out do yourself! Lucie Arnaz was a great subject. You were extremely well prepared and she appreciated that. She was relaxed, open and genuine and, I think, really enjoyed the time with you. Bravo Harvey.
My friends, I must tell you that, as a lifelong Lucy-obsessed fan, it was a dream come true to interview Lucie Arnaz. From the day our show began, Lucie was always the #1 person on my list of “must have guests”. I wrote to her manager many times to invite her on the show, without reply. And then one day a fan of our show convinced her to let me interview her. During the interview I had to keep pinching myself to believe that I was actually speaking with Lucie Arnaz!! And let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Lucie was warm, insightful, humble and incredibly kind to me. She’s a wonderful human being and I will always remember our brief time together. I hope you enjoy this very special interview.
Wow that's amazing! She was gracious to consent. You are an outstanding interviewer. I hope she watched and was delighted. I also hope she has read our comments. Many here still love her.
I just found myself saying, "Don't end, don't end"! This interview was fantastic, but it just went by so quickly! You asked fabulous questions, and she gave fabulous answers. She is correct, you seem to be so prepared, and your so interested in the answers, and you truly care about what answers she's giving you! What a lovely lady! I have grown up watching her talent, but when I watched the Jazz Singer, oh man, what an actress!!! 💐 🏆 Thank you, Lucie ❤️ Thank you, Harvey, looking forward to your next guest!!! 🌼
Thank you so much for posting such a beautiful comment. It’s feedback such as yours that makes all the hard work so worth it. Thank you for the support and encouragement. It means the world to me.❤️
I loved this interview by Harvey of Lucie Arnaz it showed he did his homework. Harvey allowed Lucie the time to express herself. The time just went very quickly.
Thank you so much for watching, and for your very kind feedback. I hope you’ll check out our other interviews, and that you’ll consider subscribing to our UA-cam channel. 🙏❤️
Great interview, Harvey! Thanks for doing it. I watched Lucie's "Lucy and Desi: A Home Movie" a few months ago. I teared up at the end when it showed Lucy and Desi enjoying their baby grandson together in a pool. It was so touching to see them together like that after all the sturm und drang in their marriage.
This is my very favorite interview yet Harvey Brownstone, it brought tears to my eyes listening to Lucie answering your questions. I am a big fan of Lucie for her vibrant work and humble attitude, her positive dedication to finding what works best and rolling w it . I also love her dancing, the way she moves ( I had a long career as a ballerina starting w NYCB w George Balanchine, then other great ballet companies, now a Pilates instructor, and speaking of great theatrical education!!!! Lucie takes the best of the best , she’s hilarious but completely holds her own , and I especially love Lucies love of music …, I could go on and on , thank you again for such a marvelous interview ❤
One of my all time favorites of the Harvey Brownstone interviews series, Harvey is a true Lucie Arnaz fan and boy did it show in this episode, such a treat, Harvey was his usual prepared self and then some, question after question, this 30 something minute interview seemed like 5 minutes, Harvey was in top notch form and he and Lucie seemed to get one another from the start! Keep them coming, Harvey!!!!
@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 you are a talented interviewer, Harvey 💚 you put your guests at ease because you have actually done your research beforehand!!
Another fabulous interview Harvey a classy lady lucie she’s the whole package a consummate professional and so kind and compassionate Ty for sharing ❤️😁🇨🇦
Lucie is the best...we hope to go to one of her concerts as soon as possible. Damned covid ruined our chances last time. Lucie is real and genuine and I admire her emensly!!
Another superbly focussed yet comprehensive picture of a remarkable individual who is a perfect exponent of all that's best in American culture and entertainment. Lucie Arnaz is not only uniquely talented but refreshingly grounded who can express herself in a most intelligent and lucid manner. What a fulfilling joy for the viewer to partake of such an interview where the two are beautifully balanced and working towards the same purpose. Extremely satisfying and revealing!
In Kansas City, MO I had the pleasure of seeing Lucie and Lawrence in live theater in I DO, I DO. what a thrill to watch that two-persons play. Great interview. 👏👏❤️❤️
She is definitely a legend, I still watch the Lucy Show. I loved that show. To see her with all the family together. Let's hope HOLLYWOOD didn't take her down. I would never get involved in that!!! Love her..❤
Like you Harvey, I, too, have been a life long Lucie fan. You did a wonderful job interviewing her. But the truth is Lucie can't give a bad interview. I don't think she realizes the trust that she engenders.❤️
Excellent interview with a multi talented, gifted star. Thank you. I am seeing a common theme throughout your interviews.... all the celebrities compliment your interview style, prepardness and unique questions!
Thank you so much! It’s always so gratifying when a guest who’s been interviewed a million times praises my interviewing style. I created this show because I thought I could bring something unique to the world of interviewing, and it’s comments such as yours that make all the hard work so worth it! Thank you. ❤️
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our shows, and for letting me know you are enjoying them. That means more to me than you can ever know. ❤️
I have loved Lucie for decades. She was fabulous in the Jazz Singer. For me, I think that she is vastly underrated as a performer and person. A beautiful lady….
Another excellent interview, Harvey! Lucie Arnaz is so genuine, down to earth, articulate in her thoughts. Her parents were legends in the business, and raised her right. Reminds me of your Marie Osmond interview...another class act, hard working professional from the "old school" that learned from a lot of the old guard. I've seen the bios, read Lucy Sr's autobiography, and know from those things what smart, professional people her parents both were. I related to your feelings, that I think a lot of fans felt, in wishing they could have made the marriage work, given their love and passion for each other...but...it was a fiery match, with pressures. Tks again for these wonderful interviews! ~Amy
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 omg...you just taught me something...I never could do it from the original page, I'd click on edit but it wouldn't bring me to be able to edit it there. But I just did it from my "comment history" page! Tks!
Lucie Arnaz stated in her interview with you that her mother was always kind to co workers. However, that is not what some of Lucille Ball's co workers have said. Jack Benny worked with Lucille Ball on her show and stated that it was not a good experience. Lucille Ball was both mentally and physically caustic and sharp with him during rehearsal to the point of physically shoving Mr. Benny to his floor mark when he missed it during rehearsal. Jack Benny told the press that he felt that Lucy needed a psychiatrist after his experience working with her. Richard Burton had the same bad experience working with Lucille Ball and he documented this in a book. Even Lucille Ball's own mother would try to discourage actor friends from appearing on Lucille Ball's show telling them that her daughter is difficult to work with. (And I am using polite language as I write this) One of the Desilu lawyers for Lucille Ball talked about how he was on the receiving end of one of Lucy's tongue lashings that was so humiliating and deprecating that even the other workers who heard the tongue lashing could not believe that Lucille Ball could be so cruel and use such deprecating language with a staff person who was on her legal team. A couple of Lucille Ball's long time writers talked about how Lucy had their possessions packed up and thrown in the hallway at Desilu without discussing with them the reason for her actions. I am sure that all artists have their temperamental moments and I would be surprised if they didn't. So I don't hold these things against Lucille Ball. But for Lucy Arnaz to say that her mother was always kind to co workers is a bit over the top and does not ring true. The boy who played little Ricky on the show also wrote about Lucille Ball's way of being cold and aloof when it came to firing his father from the staff.
I don’t dispute anything you’ve said. Obviously like many of us who idealize our deceased parents, Lucie has accepted the version of her Mom that she talked about during this interview. I found that quite interesting.
Lucy was known for not displaying a great deal of humor privately during her productions. According to June Allyson and others she was hard as nails then. In contrast to Esther Williams who was known to be one of the funniest ppl privately. Without this stern discipline Lucys shows may have not been so successful though. Every coin has 2 sides.....😉
I’ve been on board with L B since the beginning . Films before her show, and all. My take on it is Lucy Sr.--lol ( if I may ) did the same with Desi ( dad) She LB had her husband ride in on her coattail as well. He wasn’t all that talented, later I found him to have good comic timing playing off the other cast members , Fred , and Ethel … I do know she’s from good stock ..Lucy
Such a great interview. I just love Lucie arnaz she seems so sweet, kind and intelligent. Would love an interview with Michael Jackson's daughter Paris Jackson.

Thank you so much. I’ll try to get her back on the show
Lucie obviously likes to gloss over unpleasant things.

Love this. Can you interview some of the children from the original Yours, Mine and Ours? 😍
Probably not. They’d be too hard to find.
