Thanks for the video. I just got home from Home Depot w this mower. The instructions were all pictures and numbers so I immediately looked for a youtube video. This was very helpful and I’ll be ready to mow in the morning after charging the batteries. If all works out great it seems to be light and powerful enough for my wife to use 😂. Once again thank you.
I recently purchased this mower after my gas turo got burnt out! I really had a mix feeling getting it but after cutting my grass 2 times in the last 3 weeks I really love it ! The grass is nicely cut and it bags really great! I highly recommend it!
That side discharge is a great feature. Using straps i currently have my mower (gas powered)discharge cover up and angled downwards. This allows me to cut through high difficult grass.
Big thumbs up, as always. I watched, even though there is no chance I'll ever mow a lawn again; that's why God gave us adult children.
I have the first version of this and it looks as though the new one has the same problem mines has. Its a great mower but the grass collection box is angled high at the back so the box only gets to half full and the grass falls back down to the chute. I end up pushing all the grass to the back then going another few minutes then empty the box.
I bought one and love it so far. I'm not the biggest fan of their auto power adjusting. Wish there was a work around so I could set the power level myself.
I also interested to see if you can run it with only 1 blade and get higher power and longer run time?
Getting blades may be the issues! Another great option Mike thanks for sharing!
I hope not Michael! There’s 4 versions of this design so hopefully part lbs will be available for years. Thanks for watching Michael!
I watched your mowing demo video also. I like to hose off my gas mower and get all the wet grass off the deck to cut down the cricket habitat in my garage. I wonder how you clean an electric mower. I could probably download the manual (sic) and read it, but you've had it a while now (June '24), so I'd be interested in how you and other viewers deal with this.
Nice "quick look" Mike - thanks! 👍
I went from gas power mower to corded electric to cordless self propelled over the years.
I enjoy using my Ryobi self-propelled battery operated lawn mower and edger, trimmer, and snow blower.
I doubt I'll ever go back to gas engine lawn tools.
Quiet, convenient, lightweight is great for this old man.
Thanks Skippy! I actually might have went back to a gas Toro, had 2 over 20 years and loved both. Makes more sense for me to Jump into a new battery platform. Makita was my second choice, if they had new models I would have went that route. I jumped two feet into Ryobi’s 40v yard tools a few years before starting UA-cam. The small tools work great, blower, hedge trimmer, weed wacker but was disappointed with the snowblower and mower. Looks like they’ve made a lot of improvements last few years. Thanks for watching!
Nothing with problems just took back 3rd one on the 40volt weedwacker they last 1/2 hr which is fine I like the easy start and power but they start to smell and burn out they replace for free but only getting about 4 hrs out of them before they smoke ryobr fuck the planet going back to gas
check this out, the 60v flexvolt batteries fit in the mower, dont know what it will do, but they do fit.
Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!!!!
Do you know if you're able to use 20V 4AH batteries instead of the 10AH?
We need a Discord group, with a section for orange cats. I suppose tool deals or tips could work, but obviously the orange cat part would be a priority.
I wonder if I could use my flexvolt batteries in that mower? I don't have any of the 20V stuff anymore, so I just have the 60V chainsaw and the 60V string trimmer.
Im wondering the same. There is a 2 battery 60v version of this mower for $100 more. Maybe I can grab a pair from someone to try for the next vid. Thanks for watching!
I bought mine new in March of this year & didn't need it (snow) until late April. I've "tried" using it 3 times and it doesn't work very well. The first time the batteries went dead after 25 minutes. The 2nd time was May 5th, and the batteries went dead after about 20 minutes. Today it only lasted 12 minutes and the batteries went dead. When I stop the mower to pick up sticks it fails to start again and I have to recharge the batteries. I suppose I'm out my $600. Lesson learned...try before you buy.
You can always return it
You should try out the Skil 40v mower. Let's see if Chervon gets tired of giving away tools. 😂
You make a solid point but I intentionally avoided the budget mowers because the yards pretty big. I just sold my Ryobi push mower and it wasn’t an impressive cut even when new. Thanks for watching!
Good review, as always. If I may, please check your audio levels. They are very low, I have to turn my volume all the way up to hear you.
Thanks for the heads up. I rewatched it on my phone and I’ll turn it up going forward. Thanks for watching!
Do you what the torque pounds are on this?
17.5lbs of torque
Really wish DeWalt would build a quality unit like Milwaukee and Makita did. But so long as they rely on MTD to make them that will never happen.
Just grabbed it today so this video was needed!!
Glad the vid helped! Thanks for watching!
Can you fit the 60v 12ah battery in it?
All 4 flexvolt batteries (even 2 15ah) will fit in this mower
It does look nice, personally those batteries would scare me, just the thought of replacing one if you cooked it somehow. I think for me its a novelty as the Tractor is my way of cutting, but there is that around the house and stuff, don't know if I could justify it for the price! but as always great video and keep them coming, thanks
The price on the battery powered stuff is what keeps me from switching. Even the gas stuff is ridiculously overpriced anymore too. I have 3/4 of an acre that I mow, and most of it I was doing with my lawn tractor until my grandfather passed away and the family came in and started taking stuff....then I found out my uncle's lawn tractor wasn't operational once again for the 7th time in the past year so I said hey just take my lawn tractor rather than messing with yours again....so, now I'm trying to decide if I want to buy another lawn tractor, or just deal with having to put the mower deck on my sub-compact tractor for a few weeks this year until it gets warm and the grass dies off LOL.
They scare me too which is why I never did yard work with my M18 batteries. Thing is now it’s my job to try and get this stuff to fail.
Honestly I wish my yard was a little bigger so I could justify a tractor. Thanks for watching Dusty!
@@ProjectsForAllReviews that's true, now you get to see what it takes and if it will fail, I can't tell you how many times we would just cook batteries trying to get screws in, Did not matter if it was Dewalt or Milwaukee. Have to love a crew of tinners we could test to failure anything. lol
Yeah!
It make sence to have it when you also have DeWalt weed wacker. I wonder how it would work with 20/60V that goes in weed wacker?
Definitely makes sense! There's a 60v version of this mower too that's $100 more and includes two batteries. Im actually not sure if this is Flexvolt compatible but I'll try and figure that out before the next vid. Thanks for watching!
I wonder if the flexvolt batteries would work in it as well. I no longer have the 20V stuff, I just have a 60v chainsaw and the 60v weed wacker. Got rid of all my Dewalt stuff except for the 60V tools for the yard. The weed wacker I have accepts attachments which is the only reason I got it. The chainsaw is nice for quick limb trimming around the house.
Hi, first time watcher. When will you try the dewalt mower? I think i may buy. Would love to see how it does for you. Is your channel chicago-based? Askin as a chicago-area viewer 😊
Few weeks I’d guess Tatiana. I’ve got a few tufts that are long but I’d like to show it working hard so may just wait till it’s all a little too long. Thanks for watching!
i only wished dewalt would take a hint and instead of putting 2 single chargers put 1 dual slot . would be way better for conveniance and less wires to plug
When I saw Craftsman, Kobalt, and Ego battery powered mowers in the local Big Box, I did some figurin' and the run times for all of them were far less than how long it takes me to mow my grass. I'd have to either stop and wait for the batteries to charge or buy additional batteries and swap 'em out. Dewalt 20v 10 Ah batteries cost $260 each in my neck of the woods so the Dewalt and extra batteries to cut my lawn in one go is more than $1,000. OUCH! No thanks. Not to mention I handle lawn equipment like a 1,000 lb gorilla. I'd probably break that handle the first time I used it. Thanks for the review, though. 🙂
I hear ya man. My wife is always asking me “why are you so rough with things”. That Ryobi snow blower I mentioned has hose clamps holding the handle together after two seasons, lol! Jury’s out on this thing but I promise you if there’s a weak spot in its design I’ll find it. Thanks for watching Jeff!
Nice
Thanks for watching Jim!
Just bought this 2 days ago. Tried it out yesterday. I have a blue grass weed in the backyard that takes about 3 passes to cut. Regular grass seems to cut pretty well with a single pass (I have Bermuda grass). I think sharpening the blades a little more will help. Going to do that before the next cut.
Three passes!? That’s brutal. Filmed the demo a couple nights ago. I’m very impressed with the cut but there were a few drawbacks. Vid out soon. Thanks for watching Paul!
@@ProjectsForAllReviews it was much easier this week. Now that most of that bluegrass weed has died off, I can say this mower does a good job on my lawn.
Waiting on the 60v.
Thanks for watching George!
Me too, for years, but it is out now.
a demo would have been nice
Editing the demo now. Should be very soon! Thanks for watching!
Like your videos, but please bump up your audio levels!
Will do. Thought I had it dialed in but I’ll take another listen. Thanks for watching!!
Just bought mine today after my Honda went to Mower heaven.. Charged the batteries, and we shall see how it works tomorrow... My son loves Dewalt becaise its never let him down....
👍🏻
Thanks for watching Stormpooper!
Update video please
Should be within a week. Thanks for watching!
$700 mower, and they give you a 4amp slow charger.
True. But the Milwaukee is $1100 with 12ah batts. I feel like it fits in a nice niche for the price. Not sure which chargers come with the Milwaukee or Makita. Thanks for watching!
I don't have much faith in a 20v mower. After watching tons of videos and asking neighbors, I bought an EGO 21 in 56v mower today.
This is a 40v mower as is requires the 2 battery to operate.
@@francoisg3009 That makes sense.
It’s not 20v it’s 40v
They’re still pathetic. Even the ego dual blade sucks, or doesn’t.
It’s junk, the batteries may catch on fire
We’ll see….would make a much better video….and an awesome thumbnail photo!!
@@ProjectsForAllReviews I will definitely like and share if that happens!
You must be talking about the Chinese owned Milwaukee that's junk
@@loucifer4205 nope, phouk stick, I know, I work there
This lawnmower sucks unless you have a small yard. Glad I kept my gas lawnmower!
Love my ego
this thing is awful😭
Yup its awful i bought one
All the dewalt mowers looks very cheap 🫤
The yellow color doesn’t help…..
