    At the end of the video, if you choose basic plan, you will have some money to pass on to your bequest beneficiaries if you pass on early, like before 90yo. For standard plan, nothing left for beneficiaries. Escalating plan is starting after 65 you will get less monthly payouts, the monthly payouts will increase with every passing year.

    If I choose to top up RA up to the ERS (3*BRS) after age 55, and then I got retrenched, can I withdraw money from RA? Do I have to wait till age 65 to withdraw 20% of the RA?

      Hi Shelley,
      Yes, you must wait till age 65 to withdraw 20% of your RA savings. However, there are other ways to withdraw from your CPF savings.
      Since you have already met the FRS requirement at age 55, you can freely withdraw whatever savings in your SA and OA. The withdrawal sequence would be from SA first, then from OA after SA is depleted.
      Another way is to withdraw from RA by property pledge after age 55. If you own a property with remaining lease that can last you to at least age 95, you can pledge your property and withdraw from your RA up to an amount in excess of BRS, excluding interest earned, any government grants received and top ups to your RA.
