That last view of the beds by the porch is the bomb! So happy, all those colors - I think the yellow ranunculus was the perfect choice to add to the tulip blend. Lovely.

Very nice Laura , Thank to you 2 years ago I started doing my beds flower, my backyard was only grass, now I have 6 small flowers bed, plus my front yard looks beautiful, a lot of tulips daffodils and spring bulbs, in this hard times I'm busy in my garden and relax me a lot. I love it! I feel like some hardscape really helps the garden feel more “finished”. And I think the rotunda in the middle gives it just the right interest personally.
I love the idea. I would probably have used all brick in the center in a circular pattern because the brickwork is really nice and you have sooo much gravel around your home. I’m looking forward to when you plant in the urn. It will be stunning. 🙂
I Agree . . . In Addition To A Narrow Band Of Soil Circulating The Urn Base For (low growing) Flowers, Just Enough To Draw Over From What Is Planted Across The Driveway In The Moon Garden.
She explained months ago in a video that she had looked at different circular brick patterns and couldn't find one she absolutely loved. It's her garden, her money. She's also explained numerous times that people should do what makes THEM happy in THEIR garden.

I've never worked as hard as I do in my own garden, and as a former Nebraska farm girl, that's saying a lot! I’ve always wanted things to be perfect. Now when I plant a bed like that I always throw in one plant or bulb that is drastically different. It’s my way of reminding myself that perfection is overrated and I need to chill.

When I watched you shoveling gravel it reminded me of when I was doing the same thing in our parking area. My husband watched me for a while then grabbed a second shovel and pitched in. After a period of hard work shoveling and raking, he suggested we take a break, to which I replied, do you want to help me dig a hole? He was thinking maybe we’d set our tools down, get a cold drink and enjoy some shade and I was thinking about getting started on our next planting project. Haha We laughed about that for years. I admire your ‘let’s get it done’ attitude. Your urn and spring blooms are gorgeous! Everything you and Aaron do is a feast for the eyes! Great work! Gravel circle is definitely more toddler friendly and like you said you can always pave it or even add a ground mosaic later on when Benjamin is older

I think you should lower the pedestal into the gravel to cover the square base so that you only see the round section with all the beautiful detailing and the pebbles cover the square

I so know what you mean when a project is taking longer than normal. We recently moved into a rent house and the outside looks horrible; so I have plans to lay down mulch and have my potted plants placed on top of the large patio stones. And to finish the look off, have some gravel brought it for a fountain piece. I can’t wait, I’ve been buying the pieces as the money comes in; everyone says I’m crazy for doing this with the issues going on right now but I simply tell them this makes me happy to make my space beautiful!! I love the brick walkway, I’m so jelly as to how pretty it’s coming along!!
I think this is my favorite project so far. The fountain is amazing, the brick pathway with gravel and boxwood hedges give that area such nice structure . And then the two beds with sun and shade next to each other that will certainly make it very interesting to plant. I wish I could help!

I was going to cut back on flowers because of the work involved-I am 70 and it was a lot of work last fall trying to weed it all. No, I don't mulch like you do so have that extra work!

Since I'm not working right now!!! I enjoy sitting with my coffee and watching your videos! I think everything is beautiful I use to haul stone when I was your age gave that up! I have a grandson that helps me! Can't wait to see what you plant in your urn!

I so know what you mean when a project is taking longer than normal. We recently moved into a rent house and the outside looks horrible; so I have plans to lay down mulch and have my potted plants placed on top of the large patio stones. And to finish the look off, have some gravel brought it for a fountain piece. I can’t wait, I’ve been buying the pieces as the money comes in; everyone says I’m crazy for doing this with the issues going on right now but I simply tell them this makes me happy to make my space beautiful!! I love the brick walkway, I’m so jelly as to how pretty it’s coming along!!

I think this is my favorite project so far. The fountain is amazing, the brick pathway with gravel and boxwood hedges give that area such nice structure . And then the two beds with sun and shade next to each other that will certainly make it very interesting to plant. I wish I could help!
Your new walkway, gravel and that beautiful urn look amazing!! Even w/o the new plants that will be going in, I think it is beautiful-can already picture what you will be doing shortly :) And your front yard with all the tulips, etc! Oh how amazing! I was going to cut back on flowers because of the work involved-I am 70 and it was a lot of work last fall trying to weed it all. No, I don't mulch like you do so have that extra work!

That’s beautiful! I couldn’t afford anything like that but it’s fun to watch you and pretend I could! I am happy though to have what I do because there is always somebody worse off than we are.
