This is awesome! 🤩 And, also, it kinda shows that religion is not necessarily a source of hate, but the excuse that many use and hide behind in an attempt to explain or validate their hatred. I was raised Catholic and was taught to treat others how I would like to be treated, and that everyone was worthy of love and kindness. So, a massive thanks to the Catholic teacher for representing us in such a great way! 💖👍 Plus, she's absolutely right - the Changs really are an example of kindness and love, which is refreshing on the internet these days! 💕
See how nice it is if we just accept each other of the positive things in our lives. That lady chose to see the positive in your life and focus on that. I'm sure from her point of view that she could have found many negative things to focus on but chose good over evil.
In my very red town in a red state, a couple years ago, when some parishioners got upset that the parent chairs (a very prestigious volunteer position) of the famous annual Catholic schools fundraiser auction were same sex parents - the diocese backed the parents and the whole Catholic PTA in town stood with them. When the museum where I work had an exhibit on native boarding schools, the most prepared & in depth school groups were from Catholic schools. American Catholics are diverse and many are great friends of the progressive movement!
As a Christian I don’t understand the tandem between religion and hate. I can’t do it I feel like it’s against my religion to hate anyone. We are supposed to love and be more like Jesus. It’s not our place to judge others or their lifestyles. If it’s something that goes against my beliefs I may not participate in it but I dont hate the person who chooses differently. It’s not our place to judge. Not our job. It makes me happy that it was refreshing that a religious catholic teacher had nice conversation but also sad that it was refreshing because the expectation was different in the moment.
You ARE a PERFECT representation of a wholesome, Loving, amazing family and I can tell just by your videos that I've watched that you have raised two very intelligent, polite little boys! My son is almost 15 and I left his father when he was 2, moved in with my parents as I'm disabled/have a collapsed spine, and needed help with my son/can't afford housing on my own. That was off subject... Anyway, I always told myself if I didn't instill ANYTHING Else in my son, I'd want to instill 3 things in him which are being polite, learning how a married couple should love and live (via my parents,) and intelligence. So far, he's done a bomb job at all three and I give a ton of the credit to my parents (my mother and my step dad of 15 years,) who have been my loving/amazing/perfect "tribe" in helping raise my son. His father is a terrible representation of what a man should be and I'm so thrilled that my step dad can provide my son with that void that his dad has created in his life (my Son's dad had zero criminal record up until December when SWAT drug him out of his house for Assault with a Deadly weapon for hitting his girlfriend over the head with a handgun!) Guess what?! A conservative Texas judge says my son still has to go over to his dad's for visitation and this is their 3rd CPS ISSUE!!! I explained all of this, because I want you to know that you are a PERFECT example of everything your viewer mentioned and we NEED wonderful people like you on UA-cam, so that kids without that example can SEE it! You know they are all over the Internet and the more they see positive influences like yourself, the better our future leaders will be ❤❤❤
We should ALL aim to make each others day, at least in my worldview. I’m working on trying not to judge people wearing a particular “man’s” shirt and or hat. I see them at the grocery and have a physical reaction but that’s on me. I don’t know if I’m capable of making their day but we have to start somewhere. I guess…
