I wanted a black interior (for practical purposes) and weirdly could only choose the Life, as they didn’t offer black interiors for any other spec in the UK 🤷♂️ Mind you, it saved me a bucket load of cash, as the box ticking is limited 😇 Enjoy your journey… looking forward to more videos

We had these on site and being delivered to dealers, by road, a few weeks ago. Software is something of a nightmare however and, as has been said, it is way too expensive for what it is, which makes it rather uncool. Plenty of better alternatives - even within the VW Group.

Yes it was the first time that anybody in the UK has been in one let alone test driven one. The dealers got theirs on the Wednesday 2 days before mine was ready to pickup on the Friday. I pre-ordered the Buzz in March with no opportunities to test drive, as is the case with many new cars.
Will follow this with interest but I suspect that you will experience a lot of problems with this based on VW passed history. Software will be an issue especially connectivity with VW app and you will get no help whatsoever from the dealer ….I sincerely hope I am proved wrong because I love the look of the Buzz
Even if you take VW finance for a day, VW will give you 2-3years free servicing......I’ve done it 3 times now (works on new or used as long as its ‘approved’) You can also ‘borrow’ less than the vehicle cost (~£5000 minimum ?)...lived for 12+months inAustralia in a very basic ‘68 Combi (no pop-top!!). I want one of these!
Seeing you check out the car as a new owner was fun. A tiny bit frustrating watching you feel all around the console including the part that you can pull open to get inside, but nevertheless fun. I've compulsively watched all the UA-cam videos and don't even plan to buy one for a while so I knew all about the console openings and even that the whole thing is removable. Enjoy your new Buzz!
Congrats! Very jealous as the US we have to wait until 2024 for the long wheel base Buzz as that’s the only one we are getting unfortunately. For the heated seats, you actually don’t have to go into the climate menu, you just double tap the climate slider with two fingers and it should turn on the heated seat for the side you tapped on. I will be subscribing to see your journey with the Buzz, hope you enjoy it!

I would not be an early adopter of any VW EV - the software is notriously buggy (but that's true of many other EV's too though), and this is a seriously expensive car. VW seem to have gone overboard on the touch thing too, which is horrible, and it really does look like there's a LOT of scratchy plastics in this car. Not that impressed in all honesty, but I guess if your an 'e'vangelist and you're pretty minted, you don't really care.

Right now as of November 23. You can not give these vehicles away. At &72k you’re going to take a very painful financial kicking when you want to get rid. Apparently due to the vehicle weight they’re all registered as a commercial vehicle. Dealers are pre registering them so they’re then used vehicles with massive price reductions. As with the ev transporter they are being handed back as not fit for purpose.
Congratulations on your purchase. How long did you have to wait for the buzz from ordering ? What kind of deposit did you have to provide to get the otrdering process moving ? Finally who did you use for the finance, as the 10.5% offered by VW finance is extortionate ?
First deposit in March was £1000, then a second deposit in July of another £1000 when I placed the specific order. I used Forza which was 4.5% cheaper than VW at the time.

It’s just too expensive, too short on range and too long to wait (Our present lovely E Niro would be a getting on by 2024 -25). This info will help us look again at the finance but that 2 year lead time isn’t going away anytime soon. Thanks again.
Thank you for providing a first hand owner's insight into the ownership and use of the ID Buzz. Here in Cyprus, I don't expect to see one for at last a year or so. And by the time I order mine, it will have the longer range and dual motor options available! Looking forward to seeing more of your experiences, although it worried me that on your video, it displayed 2 problems on your central display. Was it ever noticed by you or the dealer? And what was the cause of them, showing up on your screen? Many happy miles of motoring!
I think you’re right . Judging by content on you tube VW are having problems with software on their EV screens etc in China. I do think however this will be a great buy when the teething problems are sorted out especially in a sunny country with solar panels ☀️
Do you have a first edition? When did you order? I ordered in June and have just been told I can’t have 2 tone unless I want to wait till September 24!!! Changed to solid green but no build date yet.
@@FlyingtwigletI got the Style, not the first edition, and all the options. I put a deposit down in March, ordered in early July. My theory is that because I had the high spec that also meant the biggest profit margin for VW, so mine went to the front of the queue.

Like you found, climate controls are easy to get to. What I find hard is getting from Google maps on Car Play back to radio/media section.

There was one of these at my local dealer last week. It looks huge, too big to fit in a normal domestic UK garage. Not that I can afford one, but can anyone confirm that it will fit and you still have space to open the door and get out of the Buzz?
For £72k, this should be an Audi. Far too expensive for a Volkswagen. Also, that interior is really poor quality for a car that costs that much. Screen should be aimed at the driver, as it would be if it was a BMW. Too many touch sensitive controls instead of rotary knobs etc

Hi Rolls, there’s no spare tyre, only run flats. The switches are haptic and do feel good quality, you can really feel the positive feedback as you press them. They’re not as bad as others have complained about. Maybe they’ve been improved since the early ID3s. I’ll be paying the loan for 4years, then I still have £28k to pay 😢
I think your dealer made a mistake. There was an embargo on customer cars being registered and handed over until the middle of last week. I think that’s why you were not able to have your registered. I pick up my 1st Edition in two tone yellow and white later this week. I’m very excited indeed and will post a video of my handover soon.
I get my first edition very soon .I put my £3000 deposit down to secure the spot but I have had to give up the two tone paint to make sure my place was kept ? Yet I see all the dealers and other people getting the two tone paint

I would just like to comment that I find your video title very mis-leading and seemingly negative towards the ID Buzz. People scanning YT will see this title and think you had a bad problem with the vehicle itself, instead of your own personal financing that you decided to switch upon arriving to pick up your order. I don't like this practise and no matter what you showed on your video, this turned me right off as again, it will give the appearance of a bad experience from the vehicle itself, and if you are looking to get views, then you will have achieved it as more people watch negative stuff than positive stuff. It's human nature, but it's wrong and I can't stand YT-ers doing this and I am reporting this video and giving it a negative rating. Too bad.

Double tap on the heating touchpad and then you automatically get seat heaters! Great little shortcut without having to go into the screen menus

If the left climate is on eco means if no one is sitting there it will turn that side off and saver battery.
