I don't think the headline of the matchup has a priority over a player health. If they can't play they can't play and if they need to bubble wrap the multi million dollar investment, let em do it. PG could have torn his ACL, that was not a "small" hyperextension. And Joel has been known to have issues. I think this is bit unfair at this point.
It’s embarrassing and insulting that these player being payed a stupid amount of money can’t even play a full season. I refuse to watch or support any team with these kind of players.
Sorry, I’m with the teams on this issue. If they think these guys with chronic injuries need to have their playing time managed in a certain way then they should be allowed to do so. The league already made them ineligible for awards that’s punishment enough.
@@pfpchad2747 Kawhi took a pay cut, probably because he’s chronically injured and the new cba. If the market dictates a certain salary for a player then that’s what that player should earn. Again, this issue should be worked out between the players, the teams, and their medical staff. They are in the best position to judge. And again, those who don’t play a certain amount of games don’t get certain awards which affects their salaries. The whole “you ‘sat out’ so I’m gonna dock your pay” is just a spiteful attitude imo.
Damn man as a fan you just want to buy your ticket and see the stars play. It tough for fans/families to just goto these games and spend 100s of dollars to not see the main stars play 😖
zero back to backs for embiid is understandable but ruling out the first few games already does not bode well for my fantasy team... so i hope something changes lol
@@TheBasketballBulletinit’s odd, I just don’t think there’s anything positive in it for the organization. It sets a bad precedence and lowers fan morale. Every team should want to start the season with a bang. Especially against a contending team like the bucks.
That’s a great take. I wasn’t even thinking about that. Also, looking at Philly’s schedule, they have some notable games. Maybe he’s trying to skip them, so he won’t have to match up with certain big men.
Load management should be banned in the NBA, player gets paid hundreds of millions of dollars to play a game, if they are truly injured, yes they rest, if they are not and the team are faking it or gives excuses, not acceptable.
Basketball bulletin good commentary good analysis. The 76ers and their star player who they paid already. Joel Embiid has been saying he’s not gonna play back to back. Tell me as a NBA fan why would you watch a product and you’re not gonna get all the best players on the floor. Waste our time. The first game of the season can’t be on the floor. But he’s been bragging about it talking about it. I don’t think I’ll play back to back like as his decision. The commissioner should find them the organization, I guess they can’t find a player, but he’s standing in public boulder than anything. Sorry guys are different than in the 1990s or even the 2000s what they wanted to play. Jordan had to rule in his contract he could play anywhere I think for the love of basketball rule. These these guys only wanna make their money, but don’t really wanna work for. Their product the NBA has died down.
If I was the owner of a team that had Kawhi on the roster the answer would be simple. Sit him out 82 games, then let him rest during the playoffs (ie play no playoff games) 😂 Or just trade him. Simple. 🙃
@TheBasketballBulletin do you really think that PG is a better running mate for Embiid, than Jimmy Butler was? I think that was his best chance to compete.
@daveanderson2767 For sure Jimmy Butler was the best fit They're buddies and Buckets proved he can pushed Embiid to his full potential when they played together in Sixers That lucky bounced shot from Kawhi and Phillies management prevent them to stay together
What should the league do about this ?

Silver had better fine them at least $250K like they did the Spurs.
We will see what the league decides
*Paul George went from clippers West to clippers East😜
lol

True
If a player isn't injured and sits out, then they shouldn't be paid for those missed games.

Agreed, it's pure robbery.
Am I the only one who just wants Leonard to retire?
If he can’t get healthy then he is just collecting on that new contract
Nope
Who would walk away from free 20 miles a year for doing nothing ask Ben Simmons
Every WhatsApp group I'm in related to sports has said he should retire.
no, he is crippling the Clippers franchise, let him stay
At this point if you want to watch Paul George, you can always find him on his podcast.
Dr Lane when did you assess PG's injury as insignificant?
Paul George said on his podcast he feels fine , better than his contusion last year.

I doubt a team is going to rest players on opening night.
Paul George said he felt fine but still resting ?

Millions of dollars and these NBA players today are different.
Excluding BOS, eastern conf is a joke

Time for Embiid and Kwai to retire
