The group I'm playing with was made in SB for uwu HC prog and it's the first group I joined for HC progression. I am very lucky for being able to just play with (mostly) the same people for 4 years already

First time I've ever watched an Ultimate in action. Wow, that's a lot of mechanics going off at once, and the duration of the fight is quite something as well. Makes the Savage stuff look simple by comparison ^ ^; Congrats on your victory :O
Yeahh, can't imagine the prog and focus needed, not to mention the hours of practice needed. This vid is basically shows a group of 8 players with 18++ min of unparalleled focus with near perfect coordination (judging from no raise is used).
That's because savage is simple in comparison. you cannot gain access to ultimate raids unless you meet the requirement of beating the current raid tier. since you know you gotta learn how to play the game/your job in order to clear savage then you get to prove the limits of your skills by attempting savage. some people can't clear some can. but anyone can clear an ultimate it all about the dedication and commitment.
@@smaller_cathedrals well, maybe it just me, but mechanics don't look so hard from the side. But another thing is too react on them and move quickly and right.
@@ShadzHorkos You are correct. One static member who couldn't take time off was 9th maning for us and gave callouts during newer phases if he was at home. He was in voice chat when we got to p7 for the first time and he called out all mechanics, exa save spots and mitigation needed instantly because he could just watch and look at our notes. We on the other hand were completely overwhelmed and would have probably died to the very first exa flare. Being in the fight just puts so much more pressure on you.

Boss movements are not that hard but when you fighting them yourself, you get pressured by when boss going to do his move, is it right moment to attack? And so on. That's why I'm sure it was hard for you. But I hope that it was fun.
I just do No Mercy after I get my first ammo combo and then burst as you can see in the video. I do Sonic Break first because often the boss phases before the dot falls off so I'm trying to get that 1 extra tick and I hold back on burst strikes when the boss is becoming untargetable/phasing so I can do a reopener with full ammo when he comes back. I'm maybe not the best person to ask though when it comes to GNB optimization.
@@Pandakrator not him, but when messing around as gnb for a lil bit I found 2.41 to be really comfy. if you facepull and hold on burst strikes, you can do reopener after 1st trio with 3 ammo. rest of the fight is mostly dependant on CD timers from previous phases for the most part, just make sure to end on like 2 cartridges each phase to keep it comfy

You will also need to do a backstep like we did at 17:56 if at least one of the other 2 Exas is a X and points towards your safe spot. Otherwise you can just stand still. Most of us did the backstep at the time stamp because we didn't check and we didn't want to die to this. On the other hand, if the back exa is a +, you look for a second + at the front exas and you dodge into that one. No backstep required ever. We never saw a pattern where the back one was a + and the 2 front ones are either both + or both X. Should you somehow ever find these patterns, you'd do the following: If the 2 front ones are X (while the back one is still +), you dodge into any of the front ones without backstep. They are both always safe. Should all 3 exas be +, you dodge into the back one and you never need to backstep. As I said, we never saw this patterns anywhere so you shouldn't bother remembering them but we talked about this in our strat discussion just in case. The brain dead strat that I see other groups do is: Always dodge into the back one and always do a backstep if you are not sure if it's safe to stand still. This strat works 100% of the time on any pattern.

I use virtual audio cable (that's a program) as my primary output device and then listen to the same virtual device in the input device settings. That way I can listen to audio as if nothing changed. Finally I set the output device on discord to my headphones directly. With this my PC audio flows like this: Game -> Virtual Audio Cable -> Headphones Only discord is the exception where it looks like this: Discord -> Headphones My recording software only takes audio from the virtual audio cable and not my headphones. It's not easy to setup if you aren't tech savy but there should be tutorials for it.
