This will work awesome with my acoustic kit and my Yamaha EAD10 audio out to the Q. Both backing tracks and drum sounds with video. My camera is on its way from Amazon as of now. This video verifies my intentions without having to edit, splice, match up in post production. 💥 boom. Thank you 😊

Hey Skeeter, how did this work out for you? I want to do the same as my GoPro just died, just worried about the low light performance as the GoPro is poor compared to an iPhone and everything I've seen about this camera looks to be worse again. Just don't want to be carting a studio full of lighting with me on top of everything else.

Hey Man can I use a 3.5mm male to male to connect the zoom to my laptop and will it record sounds directly from my laptop?

YES... You can use the headphone jack on the laptop and run it to the MIC input on the Zoom and it will record the audio. You should change the camera's input setting to AUDIO ONLY so as to save file space.
