I have always been interested in this game. Started watching the show last year, and one of the shops I go to runs a tournament on Mondays. Very fun game to play
Nova Grapplers had always been the go to clan for paupers and Gundam fans. So it makes sense to see them retaining that in Vanguard Zero. This deck is so easy to build one doesn't have to spend a single coin to obtain this list.
Heheh, while I do like Gundam, Kagero got into my focus quicker than Nova Grappler due to my preferred style of hitting hard. It was until the scary capabilities of V-series Nightmare Doll, Caroline that Im starting to look at aggressive decks.

I can’t wait for Shadows to come, already reached Legend with Kagero, I had a blast playing them, just need to get that 4th Overlord by farming Character Fights.
I mean, the worst aspect of this deck is that you can't really hit as hard as you can and not really overrun a +10k as much as Royal Paladin (in Swordsman of the Explosive Flames, Palamedes' or King of Knights, Alfred's case) or Kagero (in Demonic Dragon Madonna, Joka and Chain-attack Sutherland's case). Speaking of Heal triggers, my most recent PvP fight had me attempting to deal 6th damage 3 times (1st attempt tripped the player's Iseult, 2nd attempt had him luck a Heal out, but I suceeded in the 3rd attempt because I got a Draw trigger)
@@dittmar104 You still have Flame Edge Dragon to Soulcharge. Kagero's a bit better in the sense that you still can stack up soul relatively well for Soulblast effects, especially the chance to "accidentally" Soulcharge an Embodiment/Blazing component, or used for Vortex's Megablast or for dealing heavy power using Blazing Flare. Royal Paladin's soul game is only just slightly worse compared to Kagero, as while soul game is only for Soul Saver and Lohengrin, Dream Painter's effect is essentially a -2 cards on hand effect, and Pongal's effect cost is heavy if you combo it with Akane. OTT's soul game is only for Amaterasu (OTT still has Red Eye), but it isn't the main point as Amaterasu's main skill is just peeking and pray for RNG. Nova Grappler has no cards that help Soulcharge in the English roster, and so Mr. Invincible is pretty much a dead card from the get-go.
funny thing is transraizer imo is a staple 4 of in zero if u can pull it off and helps u if pulled of and can still have a interceptor for a shield if u can't get its skill pulled off
The Nova Grappler deck seems very fun, and is the only one of the four decks I have 4 PGs in, but I lack horribly everywhere else, No Jacks, no Kaisers, 1 of all RR and only 2 Cosmic Lords
I think a tutorial on how to craft would be awesome. Gold Rutile is awesome tbh. He is basically my Novas ace since I actually got all the counterchargers for Novas. My biggest regrer would be using ally gems and tickets before fighting Gouki. My Royal deck is better thanks to that amd more consisyant but I kept losing to Gouki. He was very hard to fight againts for me.
Considering how annoying it can be to get 3 stars on Very Hard for many characters, I'd love to see some beginner/budget decks for all the clans just like this one! Going into piloting the decks is also fantastic for all the beginners like me out there.

DifferentFight, have you tried running Toolkit Boy? outside of Stern Blau builds, I see it as a good support booster in this Deck. That on hit CC from Gold Rutile's attack is worth a lot

Nice deck! I'm p much only missing the PGs but it's showing good results for me in ranked. If I can ask, do you have suggestions for budget Royals for ranked and Charafights? I have 2 Iseults and should prolly invest in Royals more.
Take out the boltas, hungrys and two risers and the clay dolls. The deck has a lot of countercharges with little payoff so those are easy cuts. Mr invincible is really poor on zero without the perfect field. And the +3k guys skill is situational some games and pointless others. You’re only real reason to counterblast is Gold rutile and he countercharges by himself. Kirara and jack add a lot of value for only one or two counter blast before retile hits the field and his skill countercharges. Sure they might seem like they’d get expensive over time but you’re not gonna keep them for more that a turn anyway. Definitely worth the inclusion.
What sort of stuff would you switch around for the higher rarity cards? I have a decent selection of stuff including the Death Army ones, kirara, a few brutal jacks and 1 Asura Kaiser but things just feel a little bit off with the build I'm running right now.
Can you do one for royals? I got mostly royals cards from my draws. Don't want to reroll as I got 2 Brutal Jacks anyway. Also, is it better to go agro in this game? In the Royals deck I'm using, I'm not using CB other than blaster blade. I just call as much as long as I'm sure the attacks hit.

I had seen a video of this deck yesterday, but in that one, Toolkit Boy was used in the deck bc it had really nice synergy with Gold Rutile. I’m just wondering why you didn’t add it.
I guess its because he's aiming to hit as hard as possible while being in a Nova Grappler deck, which is a clan that does not do that well on hitting as hard as a truck. I actually also put in Toolkit Boy to recycle damage, but his effect only works when he's boosting the VG that targets (and sucessfully hits) the VG, so its not that great of an idea to drown in Toolkit Boys.
Should I spend all the gacha tickets for packs now? Just started with the game, also should I spend all the gems too on packs , or should I save all the gacha and gems till the game updates with more cards releases, would appreciate some tips! Thank you!!
Sorry, general gameplay question that I don't really know where to ask, but why is it that when I flip a heal off of a damage check, it only heals the one damage like 50% of the time??? there isn't really an explanation in-game and I haven't noticed any patterns.....
U have to have the equal or more damage than your opponent for the heal trigger to work. If your opponent has 3 damage and you have 2 damage, and your opponent deals 1 damage to you which happens to be a heal trigger, it wouldnt count either and the heal trigger wouldnt work

Question, I currently play Royal Paladins with 3 PGs, 1 Gancelot and 1 Alfred. Is it worth it to change to this Deck even though I got no PGs for it and I alredy exchanged my First medal for the PG from Royal Paladin?
I am just getting started and I want to make sure I keep as many of my supplies as possible. Should I use my tickets to get the cards for this deck or should I hoard my tickets for later sets or do different sets drop different tickets? I just want to make sure I don't waste my supplies to early and I do main NG so I definitely want to try this deck out.
For now, the clan card roster for Nova Grappler is just from Episode 4 Kamui's initial deck to his regional qualifier deck, plus his TD, Burstraizer, Transraizer and Ultimate Lifeform, Cosmo Lord, along with Death Army Guy and Lady. I'd say its up to you if you want to wait out for the Blau engine or Raizer engine.
Hey different fight, whats the win rate for this deck? Vanguard zero is like you win 3 and then lose 3 no matter what deck you using. Its very hard to climb haha. Any advice? @differentfight
I'd say, unfortunately its a considerably low win rate against other players. 1)While you have good synergy with Gold Rutile and Lion Heat together, you made yourself vunerable to more attacks, and so its a glass cannon strategy. There is also a chance that Lion Heat will be targeted. 2)As DF said, this budget deck can't really handle 11k cards well. Not because of better effects, but because its harder to outpower 11k cards off.
Transraizer and Gold Rutile is freaking broken in this game. I don't know about anyone else, but I like this new format because it's not just cookie cutter game play for the LA game.
Can you guys give me tips on the game? I just got into it since the english version was released 3 days ago and i was if wondering if should i save my gems and packs for the future or should i just use them and open the packs and hope i get a triple rare?
Might be too late but you should keep your packs/gems and save for when the clan split comes. With 3 sets to pull gatcha from, your card pool may be diverse but you wont have much/enough parts if you decided to go for a specific clan. You can also open the initial set of packs you have and start from there and save from that point on..and dont spend gems on the gatcha, only spend them on stamina for you to farm materials

9 draws for sure, the deck is super piece reliant and that’ll help you draw into more offensive pieces, whereas stands are kinda redundant because the effects already stand a lot
It depends on your preferrence and clan card roster actually. PGs may be seemingly obvious if anyone did not reach 100k VP, but there are some cards worth crafting more than others. For example, in my opinion, Magical Girl, Kirara is better than OTT's Maiden of Libra because you can simply recover from her CB2 effect relatively easily in Nova Grappler, while you have to juggle your CBs between a number of OTT cards that impose CB costs, like Oracle Guardian, Apollo.
I'm sure you have the youtuber (former poketuber) Shady Penguin to thank for the channel boom he made a vanguard day 1 and day 2 to do videos. and he got all his information at least for the first one from you and credited you for it and even included a link to your video including re-rolling.
May I ask why I always see decks with 9 draw triggers? I don't quite see the advantage in running them all since Stands are like perfect for the idea of Novas
Novas are super piece reliant so the draws are a must. Relying on stands to multiattack is not great because your main rides already guarantee (kinda) the mutiattacks (they're redundant and rng based)
hello different fight, I hope you can read my comment. I noticed that in EN server, the VP point rewards resets in 18days so it means it's not the same as VG0 in JP server that we can farm 4 PGs monthly 😔

Gold Rutile was the 1st card I received in real life I wish they would give it a remake now.

What would you recommend taking out once you start getting Jack’s, Kirara’s, etc.? I have 4 Jacks, 2 Kirara’s, and 2 of the Death Army G1
For grade 2,remove 2 humpy dumpy,1 transraizer,1 king if swords and 2 bolta

Question, I currently play Royal Paladins with 3 PGs, 1 Gancelot and 1 Alfred. Is it worth it to change to this Deck even though I got no PGs for it and I alredy exchanged my First medal for the PG from Royal Paladin?

I am just getting started and I want to make sure I keep as many of my supplies as possible. Should I use my tickets to get the cards for this deck or should I hoard my tickets for later sets or do different sets drop different tickets? I just want to make sure I don't waste my supplies to early and I do main NG so I definitely want to try this deck out.
For now, the clan card roster for Nova Grappler is just from Episode 4 Kamui's initial deck to his regional qualifier deck, plus his TD, Burstraizer, Transraizer and Ultimate Lifeform, Cosmo Lord, along with Death Army Guy and Lady. I'd say its up to you if you want to wait out for the Blau engine or Raizer engine.
What do cards with special moving effects mean? I have a few of them ( KOK, and death army lady)

Vanguard zero is like you win 3 and then lose 3 no matter what deck you using. Its very hard to climb haha. Any advice?

I'd say, unfortunately its a considerably low win rate against other players.
1)While you have good synergy with Gold Rutile and Lion Heat together, you made yourself vunerable to more attacks, and so its a glass cannon strategy. There is also a chance that Lion Heat will be targeted.
2)As DF said, this budget deck can't really handle 11k cards well. Not because of better effects, but because its harder to outpower 11k cards off.
Transraizer and Gold Rutile is freaking broken in this game. I don't know about anyone else, but I like this new format because it's not just cookie cutter game play for the LA game.
Can you guys give me tips on the game? I just got into it since the english version was released 3 days ago and i was if wondering if should i save my gems and packs for the future or should i just use them and open the packs and hope i get a triple rare?
Might be too late but you should keep your packs/gems and save for when the clan split comes. With 3 sets to pull gatcha from, your card pool may be diverse but you wont have much/enough parts if you decided to go for a specific clan. You can also open the initial set of packs you have and start from there and save from that point on..and dont spend gems on the gatcha, only spend them on stamina for you to farm materials

For a Nova deck, which one do you prefer? 9 stand trigger or 9 draw trigger? And why?
9 draws for sure, the deck is super piece reliant and that’ll help you draw into more offensive pieces, whereas stands are kinda redundant because the effects already stand a lot

I'd say no, all the resources are important to keep for RRRs
It depends on your preferrence and clan card roster actually. PGs may be seemingly obvious if anyone did not reach 100k VP, but there are some cards worth crafting more than others. For example, in my opinion, Magical Girl, Kirara is better than OTT's Maiden of Libra because you can simply recover from her CB2 effect relatively easily in Nova Grappler, while you have to juggle your CBs between a number of OTT cards that impose CB costs, like Oracle Guardian, Apollo.
I'm sure you have the youtuber (former poketuber) Shady Penguin to thank for the channel boom he made a vanguard day 1 and day 2 to do videos. and he got all his information at least for the first one from you and credited you for it and even included a link to your video including re-rolling.

May I ask why I always see decks with 9 draw triggers? I don't quite see the advantage in running them all since Stands are like perfect for the idea of Novas
Novas are super piece reliant so the draws are a must. Relying on stands to multiattack is not great because your main rides already guarantee (kinda) the mutiattacks (they're redundant and rng based)
Isnt it better to use cray soldiers since it can restand for free?
Sometimes i always win with Gold Rutile when i don't have Perfect Raizer in my hands, Gold Rutile skill is very good and worth for me
hello different fight, I hope you can read my comment. I noticed that in EN server, the VP point rewards resets in 18days so it means it's not the same as VG0 in JP server that we can farm 4 PGs monthly 😔
It actually still is - in JP the first season also lasted 3 weeks, but starting May you'll have 2 seasons a month just like JP does

Been play testing this deck im C rank with 4 perfects and upgrades (asuras primarily but some RRs) and I have been losing 60% of my games! Really sucks... Idk what to do

Change lion to asura then remove 1 g2 except for the 10k vanilla then put your jack

Yes. Otherwise, is just the VP rewards. Oh, and some gems and sleeves from a character each time you level them up.

Does Cosmo Lord have a use? I don't know of a situation where I would rather give him 3000s than having unrested rear guards
Makes him an good target to stand because it'll hit over damage shields. He also gets a Cross Ride later on.
