Thank mam for these videos, I'm south African and dating an igbo man which I highly appreciate, it's good to see a smile on his face when I try to speak igbo😂
Im from the kisii tribe of Kenya,I'm surprised to see similarities in words like yes for ee,onu we say omonu,,akaekpe we say ekevee for the left hand,it's worth enjoying, and this shows some past connection between the languages
It's a confirmation that we are originally the same people, bantu people. You will see a lot of similarities in words, cultures and traditions amongst all bantu people across Africa. Bantu people are found in Eastern, Central, Western and Southern parts of Africa.
Igbotic Girl, I love the empowering and encouraging closing counsel you mentioned that nobody should be laughing at anyone who is attempting to learn or learning to speak Igbo. And if they do, the learner must speak out against this disrespectful behaviour. I strongly agree because when growing in Nigeria and till this day, I speak out and it is very effective. Again, I so much appreciate your contributions to our human community. Imeela. Udo diri gi. Peace upon you.
You have spoken well , we need to say these things because sometimes our people do not know the harm it does to laugh at an igbo learner. Chukwu gozie gi 💕
when we say man we say monna(sepedi bantu tounge) the mo being singularity and the nna being the root word for man. so it's true that igbo and Bantu have similarities. we were once close. thanks for the lesson.
It's been like forever waiting for this video. You are a joy to watch 💙 See ehh, even if it's just for me, Biko be doing this basic videos on words and phrases. A lot of beginners are here. Thanks
Thank you ma for this, I'm Yoruba but my fiance is delta,Agbor but this igbo is similar with their language, infact 75% I will surely be glad if I can learn how to be speaking here
Thanks and God bless. I wish I could call you directly to explain myself. Some of us have no brush with Igbo at all, no parent told me 'mechie onu' 😆. In Yoruba language my first, there are signs called àmì (do, re and mi) these help anybody pronounce words just at sight having not heared a native speaker say it before, so far they know how each sign sounds in words. I will appreciate the inclusion of these in writing these words (I believe Igbo has an equivalent of these). And pls more sentences after each word to have enough weapons against our Igbo bullies the next morning. Imeela Daalu.
Your song makes me so happy thank you dear. I am planning on going to work with a friend of mine who speaks igbo and your channel will be helping me tremendously.🙂
Learn wile laugh/laugh wile learn. I enjoy ur channel alot and try my best to learn it from over here. My daughters roots are in anambra state and I'm white but I need to be able to teach her at least to feel comfortable speaking some words so it won't be that complicated for her later on. But first I get to learn it obere obere. Thank you alot
Hello igbotic girl thank you for cheating me how to speak Igbo not only you are a greatest instructor but you are very beautiful ounce again thank you for being helping me understand Igbo language GOD will bless you to 5g
Dots and sound signs which are very fundamental in Igbo language pronunciation are missing in your lesson. I love your courage and style Ji sie ike nne 😊👍
What really interests me is that the inflection of your voice plays a huge role in the pronunciation. Like, if the tone is off, it doesn't sound right. Really neat stuff
Yesss, I was just realizing the same. When the words are said flatly, they don't seem to have same meaning/impact. For me, perfecting the voice inflections is most difficult.
Thank you for the video I grew up with my father in a foreign country and we didn't get to learn our language so he passed away and we can't learn igbo anymore But thank you for the video my sister, we are both from Anambra state
