I think the back wheels actually make sense in helicopter mode. They're the part that spins on the rear to control turning and make sure he doesn't just spin wildly
In all honesty the siege line might be the best transformers generations line ever to date, it's gotten so much attention not only from tf fans but toy collecters in general

There's still a few missing that could use a new general store release figure. Ironfist is suppose to be a weapons designer, he'd be perfect for a weapon/minion/add-ons thematic.
Titans Return gave us decent versions of Kup, Perceptor, Topspin, & Twintwist. And Siege Spinister looks like he could be remolded into Rotorstorm. We’ve almost got the team from Last Stand of the Wreckers.

The Roadbuster we got a few runs ago is nice, but I would like to see a properly BIG BOI version of him. We're getting a big, visually accurate Astrotrain, anything is possible.
In helicopter mode If you plug the "front" gun into the bottom port with the "back" gun attached there's just the right amount of space in the gap were the legs.. hips... whatever for the 5mm on the back to fit in. Makes the gun not so pronounced out the front but still offers storage. Pegging them into each hand also works to store em away.

Update to G1 characters of Season 1, yes sure its been quite a few years. But they’ve been doing modern G1 updates for every year now. Titans Return and Power of the Primes line, for example, were focused on updating several 1986 to 1988 G1 characters (aka late G1). Late G1 doesn’t include as much iconic characters as Season 1’s but they’re still G1.
I think this is a pretty sweet figure, however, I kinda wish he has the same types of weapons as the generations one, that one executes the sword and propellers better

This one made me seek out the Generations Voyager being released. I like the siege line and how they mostly stick to designs that Evoke the G1 style, but the Generations, now Legends, version is so much more streamlined. As you mentioned the wheels this version doesn't seem much like what I conceive a helicopter to be. It almost reminds me of how, as a kid, all my toy cars could fly simply because I left the doors open.
Think I'd try that "two guns together with the swords on the side" as a rifle for robot mode. At least from the side view they looked like a great idea for a rifle for Springer.
I like this figure, but the Generations Springer just looks better in all three modes. Also, I have the same problem with Siege Soundwave's backpack, but at least Springer doesn't have a shoulder mounted rocket pod pushing the backpack off.
I got mine the other day, totally agree with you on the floppy backpack and knees. One of the swords is also a bit curved out of the but, but I think I can fix that with a bit of quality time with the hair dryer.
This guy's really grown on me. I still like the look of the Generations one better, but after seeing the SS86 and Kingdom figures this one will definitely fit in much better with them and I've come to really like the car mode. I'm still reluctant to get him though in case they release a repaint in SS86 without the battle damage and with a slightly muted green (and maybe even a new accessory or two).
Re-watched this today because I was rearranging my Desk bots at work and added this one to the mix -- Totally forgot about the effect piece that can attach to the blades!! Now I need to find a couple of Lionizers!! Dang it!! 😀

He's very cool looking, I have him too, I agree with you about the back pack, I wish that they would have come out the one without battle damage like they did for Galvatron. I was hoping that they would, I was so very disappointed they didn't.
I deducted a couple of points for the back pack not tabbing in and the front chest panel likewise not tabbing in securely. The transformation is a little convoluted in that every joint and hinge gets worked out pretty well, in part because it's a triple changer, translation, it will get loosey goosey that much faster, I already had to use floor wax on the ankle hinges.

Yes! I can finally replace the Thrilling 30 Springer. The Thrilling 30 Springer was near perfect except for his legs. He looks like he got in line twice on leg day.
You know with a bit of painting and a new head sculpt this mold could be used as Shattered Glass Galvatron it would make sense since the official figure used springers universe mold.
i found a neat way to display the blades in robot mode where they won't fall off. I attach them to the port on the his offhand forearm, attached to the rotor. makes for a nice spinning blade weapon
I heard the next iteration of Arcee is going to have a similar mechanism as seen at 20:05 but with two pieces, not one, and very importantly located at the front.
You know, to be quite fair... In a scenario where the enemy expects springer to be deployed, having him come in from the water side probably Would catch people somewhat by suprise, given that they are familiar with his alt modes and such. So its not actually a bad plan for a suprise attack, assuming of course that there's a convenient body of water to make an approach by.
15:30 The first time I saw him bring it in close for the head shot and we don't see the chest first 17:00 doesn't that knee joint give him more knee rotation. 22:00 For comparison 24:30 "Palm in your face!"
It's a great figure, one of the best of the line, but I prefer the Generations Springer. The blades/rotors can be hidden in the car mode, they are not weapons mouted on it. Then the helicopter mode hides the car wheels, has landing gear and the front part also transforms, it doesn't like the car mode with a rotor and a tail.
A couple that I know of, an old Generations deluxe Springer which just had attack Helicopter mode & A Transformers 2 legends Springer which had a Osprey type alt mode
The battle damage acctually makes sense on Springer since he is a wrecker and been in battle alot
it makes sense for everyone basically i mean this is in the war era of cybertron

They're coming out with a Siege Apeface. It'd be cool if that could use the Titanmaster Apeface as a head.

Tilt the cannon slightly askew so that the rear peg sits next to the thruster.
I have a issue with my wreck 'n' rule version where the from of both vehicle modes bends downwards, thus the tops won't tab properly. 😢

I would love a more tactical repaint of Springer. The green should be olive drab, the yellow should be FDE, and the grey should be darker.
One of the tabs holding the legs together in car mode snapped on my copy. So be weary.
Anyone else have an issue where the shin joint doesn't snap in at all and just hangs there unless you hold it with sticky tack

The only nitpick for me: the shoulder pads could've been engineered to sit sideways like his G1 self, otherwise this looks niiiiice.
