Hell yeah, so tight... I still have this CD... and the classic Umbilical Cord CD
@@THRASHMETALFUNRIFFS Is this the band? ua-cam.com/video/cAghqvkzJ64/v-deo.html
It's pretty damn good!
@@putridabomination /w\YEE-HAW/w\ Bro, enjoy! An old friend of ours is thanked in the liner notes. HE was a manager at MC'd's where me, Chip and Randy worked in highschool until we slammed metal at the company xmas party in our uniforms, then the owner changed the hair policy! Years later I was visiting and we recorded our 99 reunion in his basement on his gear! That's when Randy gave me this CD of his was friends.
@@THRASHMETALFUNRIFFS Awesome, I'm halfway through it. Thanks for the recommendation \m/
... 🤘 🇺🇸
that drummer is a real animal! amazing!
Vinnie Daze RIP, got stung by a poisonous puff fish, very tragic way to die.
@@junechris that's sad as hell! 😔
@@junechris Fuck yeah man, he would have been just as revered as Lombardo and the like had he continued on. He was just as good, if not better, at this point.
Rip Vinny Daze
RIP Vinny Daze :(
One of the best thrash albums ever written imo. It's a force of nature.
Only tortured existence is better.
@@user-pf7qg9lc6p they are both awesome, but second one is better recorded
thrash? I would call this death
@@fionnodubhuir1686 Got the riffs of thrash metal but the speed of death metal.
@@fionnodubhuir1686 It's Death thrash, they joined the two genre's with success, like Protector. Soulstice from Miami, Overthrow, within suffering album , Possessed, arguably even Dark Angel, etc. Thrash riffs and death metal drumming is the norm of the genre.
The drummer is literally a demolition hammer!
people dont give this band or album enough credit
It's too heavy. Came out in 1992 and kills everything else.
the double bass drumming on this album is the best ever.
That a helicopter
THE ABSOLUTE TITAN OF DEATHTHRASH METAL
@Diego thrash-death because is more thrash than death metal
There are no death metal influences in this album pure unadulterated thrash metal madness!
Deaththrash? Pure thrash metal only.
@Diego no. This isn't nothing deathmetal, pure thrash metal only.
DEATHTHRASH🤘🏻
I know Gene Hoglan is the atomic clock but Vinny Daze is just as deserving of that nickname. He's ALWAYS right on time and incredibly tight
Best death thrash album ever. Fantastic fucking album
Vinny Daze (R.I.P. 1996) Drums, Vocals (riot)
man i love this era of metal (thrash/death). the drumming is relentless on this. classic album.
The Metal Realm bought me here. I never heard them before and I'm an underground metal maniac. Of my top favorites, I have to squeeze them in my top 5.
imagine working in building and construction listening to this
I would tear all the buildings down
@@slaytallica81 YESSSSS
The music alone would cause the building to collapse before you would.
Hammering harder
@@Hardie_Boi i'm algerian dude ok..do not criticize the opinions of others without understanding
American thrash metal history right here.
Along with Exhorder and Morbid Saint , my favorite thrash
LIKE IT OR NOT THIS IS WHAT PEAK PERFORMANCE LOOKS LIKE
If you take it from a more oldschool point of view this can be considered deathrash, but if you set it according to what death metal has evolved to through the years it may sound like thrash with some death metal elements to many listeners. Imho there's no significant point in this conversation athough I must say I personally consider them to be the berfect crossover between the two subgenres still with a marginal superiority of the thrash elements. Unmatched aggression combined with fierce growling vocals, heavy, almost sick, atmosphere and grinding sound. Underrated band, still kicked maximum ass on recent live shows, hope to see more of them in the future \m/
Agreed 100%
This album feels like 70 war tanks running me over with carnivorous obsession taking up 5 of them
A someone that left metal for many years due to the development into Death metal etc.. I agree. This is the stuff that turned me off. I found my way back to extreme metal way later through discovering Black metal with its more dirty and raw sound.
I’ve been listening to metal most of my life. I’ve only just discovered these guys. Awesome !
I'm not trying to start anything here bro, but if you've been "listening to metal" for "most of your life ", how is it that you just now learned of Demolition hammer? They're not that obscure. At all . Just curious.
@@Megiddo426 fair enough. I just don't look for new bands that often like I used to. if I had actively looked since high school I'd probably have found them. Actually the other day I passed this along to another metal head, supposedly he's heard em all. Even he had never heard of them.
@@DavidsDoseofItalyRight on my brother. Cool...Did you ever check out Solstice? (Ex- Malevolent Creation members) If not, check 'em out my friend. Glad you replied. Stay metal!
@@DavidsDoseofItaly By the way, its the 1997 release. With the fearful looking dude on the cover.
@@Megiddo426 Nope. I'll check em out. thx! Metal for life!
The ultimate metal is a perfect death/thrash fusion
Damn straight
This album goes by so fast.
Some of the heaviest and darkest thrash you’ll ever hear in your life. The vocals are on fucking point and the drums are some of the best blast beats I’ve ever heard. The atmosphere this album gives off makes me feel like theirs a nuke going off i love omnivore and it’s fast violent pace and carnivorous obsession is the best song with it’s almost death metal like riffs on the heavier sections. Overall one of the top thrash albums with some of the best songs in metal as a whole
If you love this check out Devastation album idolatry and solstice album pray.
One could say that this album *was* thrash, personified.
@@agentjohnson3973 i would also recomend "Spectrum of death" from Morbid Saint!
@@darkshark1997 Try Hypnosia's "Extreme Hatred" and "Horror Infernal" by the same band
@@darkshark1997Jesus Christ, this album, absolutely
heard this album for the first time at the age of 6 thanks to my dad. this album changed my fuckin life!
Demolition Hammer smashing my skull in!
This just raised the Titanic and sunk it again!
Shit I think this edges out anything that Slayer, Possessed, or even Sodom has done in terms of sheer brutality. Nice work Demolition Hammer!!!
Nah not Sodom, expurse of sodomy was heavy duty
THIS is why thrash metal can be heavier than most death metal. Perfect album. That kick sound is insane
Death Metal stems from Thrash Metal. And where does Thrash come from?
Every rock inspired band can learn from Demolition Hammer. 🔨
Thrash metal comes from the mix of nwobhm and hardcore punk
HELL YEAH!!!
@@DonTheMoron716 Heaviness is something very, very subjective. The sound of the drums and the production as well as the speed overall add on to the heaviness while a Death Metal album with some more mid-paced sections can feel lighter than something like Demolition Hammer. This album right here however is still Deathrash - something this brutal would definitely not classify as pure thrash in my opinion.
I cannot believe that I just discovered this. Fantastic.
I got halfway through the first track before buying the CD online. Incredibly heavy and driven by some of the best drumming I've heard in a long time.
The drumming on this album is classic
This is what the end of the world sounds like.
Glorious!
At this very right moment I'm sewing a woven Demolition Hammer patch to my vest, obviously listening to this masterpiece with a jack n' coke! Fuckin cheers u sick fuckers!

Love the drumming...what an album!!! 10/10
I've had this album for years now and it's always on regularly, one of my favourites of all time. It's the heaviest album ever recorded & intense from start to finish. Absolute classic.

This and Idolatry by Devastation.
Reign in blood
The end on this album ..... Really makes a brain juice 😎🤘🏾
One of those metal albums that is just hatred and venom distilled into music
They're like Slayer meets Exodus.
More like Kreator meets Slayer and Sepultura.
Drum mix on this album is Godlike. \m/
Still one of the most brutal albums of all times!
Inquisition from Columbia around 1990 Forever under/anxious death both EXCELLENT.
If that's not one of the very best thrash metal albums ever, I don't know what is! To me it might be THE best. And while it does get strong love from its die-hard fans, I still feel this album didn't get the attention and recognition it deserves. It should be in most discussions for best albums in this style.
Rust In Peace is the best thrash album. Question answered.
@@markpalavosvrahotes5575
No, Reign In Blood is. Rust In Peace is more like prog thrash, not full-on thrash like RIB.
Both classic DH (this and Tortured Existence) albums just fucking rip but the most superior thrash would have to be Darkness Descends.
@@tayfunakkus9101 how about VIO-LENCE Eternal Nightmare
for me its beneath the remains
It's nutty to hear how much the guitar EQ changes throughout every single song.
Holy shit!

Oh, man, those kicks, bestial drumming! Perfect!
I miss such clear and brutal drums generally in metal production so much. I love when I hear nicely each instrument, IMO it fits metal music much better then homogeneous sound.
I like the breakdowns in the first song
A truly underated band..saw them in 1990 support Morgoth and Obituary....brilliant live, heavy as fuck killer sound...awesome!!!! Cheers for posting this album, need to go out and buy this now.
