How to Replace Broken Tail Light - Toyota Sienna Minivan

The brake light assembly was broken on this 2008 Toyota Sienna minivan. It's an easy replacement by removing 2 bolts. Order a new one and do it yourself. (Be sure to get the right model and right/left assembly)

Replacing a broken tail light is very easy on this Toyota Sienna minivan!

Thank you sir! I watched your video and was able to replace my tail light. The only thing that was different was that the tail light I ordered from Amazon did not include the light piece. But that was not a problem, I was able to take it off the broken piece. The whole thing took me 15 mins to do and most of that time was looking for the right sockit wrench piece (13/32). The only problem I had was that the rubber seal was not very tight, i did re-adjust the tail light but it's a problem with the tail light piece I ordered. My solution to this problem is to go buy a ext silicon sealant for that.
I took out all the screws as the UA-cam told me except the two screws in the back because I could not find them. I looked at the new assembly but could find them either. My broken light was still sticking to the car. No way to remove it except to use a hammer to break it. I spent hours in vain.
Just some input of my own. Last time I attempted this the taillight fell apart in my hands. Those studs in the front can be very stubborn to get out of. I used some fishing line to get behind the light by the studs to help pull it out. Before installing I drilled the stud captures to a 3/16 so they wouldn’t be so tight (I measured before hand)and I put grease in the holes to help it slip out a little easier next time. Hope this helps as well

Wasnt a very good video did you change the entire tail light or just the cover piece? Not very helpful.
