    Update Nov 2022: hey everyone! This vid is getting a lot of traction because of the PC/Switch remastered games coming soon. This video is now 5 years old but still applies to Normal mode of Next Order (the game hasn't been patched since 2016). I am hoping to make an updated video or two relating to this before Feb 2023 to reassure players of this but in the meantime, please review the most recent comments below. I have been actively trying to help as many of you as possible and the comment section acts as a good FAQ. If all else fails and you guys are still having a bad time with the game, please consult my fully edited/informed lets play of the game, which can be found here. This will hopefully give y'all an outline of how I play and win at Next Order: ua-cam.com/play/PLE3sw8KYN43e_LMAbq_aqeeJ3VrQvDAJ3.html. Cheers!

      MrW01FY you missed the saberdramon on MOD cape.
      But they're usualy only good to train at with 1 rookie and 1 digimon as champion or ultimate. So your digimon gotta be de synched at some point. Oh and the demidevimon in MOD cape give some stats too
      But usualy i go with 1 rookie and 1 ultimate/mega to Flag MOD ship to fight lvl 30 saberdramon and kingsized Botamon who i think appears at wednesdays. Amazing stats to 1800+ stats. BUT cuz they're strong i do recommend to unsync your digimon with a day or 2/3 and take 1 ultimate/mega and 1 rookie to train up to 2000+ stats till they're 4/5 days old

      @@DigitalRooki3 best advice I can give is try to train your Digimon young. The best way to do that is stagger your two digimons death dates a few days apart where you can take a fresh in-training Digimon to some higher level areas. The more they grow as the lower forms the easier it is to max at higher forms.

    Super late, but if you find that you're getting beat (especially early on), I recommend grabbing the guard function asap. If you level it up, you'll mitigate/ neutralize a lot of the big damage as long as you issue the guard command before the attack registers. Most monsters have huge tells or audio queues before attacking, so you'll be able to avoid a lot of damage, especially against the earlier wild digimon

And it was taking everything forever. I was struggling just at the end of first chapter. Yeah, I'm going to test the efficacy of a lot of these training videos through fights. I'm currently raising one Digimon the battle way (with a mega companion with stats in the 2k's) and then whenever his mega companion dies and I'm satisfied with his stats, I'm going to raise the companion strictly in the gym and see what kinds of differences I see since I've mostly done gym training in the past.

    • @MegaManNetworkOfCourse
      @MegaManNetworkOfCourse 7 років тому +4

      Guilmon470 it takes less in game time to battle since the timer freezes. however the gym will advance the clock an hour

    • @Guilmon470
      @Guilmon470 7 років тому

      Yeah, I totally nixed that idea on the test file I had going because not having them synced was a pain. I went onto my main file and devil chipped my two megas to death and started from a clean slate and have raised a few successful and very powerful generations doing battle training once I figured out what worked best for me and have pretty much beaten the after game/malevolent fist etc thanks to it. Also got my first couple batches of super ultimates which has been nice. I DO have a question though, where do the other Digimon come from that are fusing with my megas? Like, I had a Machinedramon that I digivolved in the dojo and it fused with a random Diaboromon to make Armageddamon but I've never had a Diaboromon.

    This is a literal godsend to me, WAY better than other guides I've seen ^^ I'd also like to contribute by mentioning that when my partners Digivolved to Champion a bit earlier than I was expecting, I was struggling to find a decent spot to help me catch up. Then after I ducked into the sewers at Faulty Ex Machina to evade a large group of mobs, I accidentally got into a battle with a PlatinumSukamon while trying to get ClearAgumon to come to his senses (boy what fun that was >.>) Turned out the PlatinumSukamons actually gave me a really nice boost to my MP (which was REALLY lacking) and my Stamina, and after several battles against them (augmented by a couple of battles against the ClearAgumon and the fight against the BlackWargrowlmon), I was able to defeat Justimon (which surprised me). Then I moved on to the orange WarGrowlmon

    • @MrW01FY
      @MrW01FY  7 років тому

      Hey Kalina, thanks for taking the time to post this! I've never trained in the sewers at Faulty Ex, but will definitely give it a go soon having read your comment - probably with my next generation. Being completely honest, I actually never realized the access to the sewers existed until last week, even though I was continually being told that ''someone is living there'. I only had a quick look around and recruited Nanimon & Sukamon. ClearAgumon is a hurdle that I have yet to overcome/figure out (ohboy). Anyways, super glad the guide was of some use to you. Thanks again for letting me know! :)

    • @KalinaHitanaVTuber
      @KalinaHitanaVTuber 7 років тому

      No problem =) I dunno how well it'll work for Rookies, seeing as my Digimon were Champions at the time. But the ClearAgumon was a nice fight, gave me a nice boost in stats, and I get 2 Large Double Discs (I think that's right, the ones that heal both HP and MP by 8500). Sadly, now that my Digimon are Ultimates, some of the stats from PlatinumNumemon aren't getting boosted as much (hell, one of them is giving me 0-1 stats each fight for something so tough =/)

    I don't usually comment on YT but in this case, I think a huge thanks is in order. Went from having two Megas with 2.5k stats, who struggled to beat Bluemeramon in Faulty Ex Machina, to two champions with 5k who ripped him a new one. Thank you sir, you are a legend in my eyes. Your guide was far better than any I'd seen before it.
    One small issue I did have though, was fatigue and low mp during the initial stages of the training (against weregarurumon black), for which I had no clue initially what to do, but that passed. Cheers, and looking forward to more great videos!

    • @MrW01FY
      @MrW01FY  7 років тому +1

      Syed you Hero! You are the legend my friend- thank you! Yeah, fatigue can sometimes be a pain in the butt. There's not much to get around it early on, but keeping your tent maintained definitely helps. Resting every now and then via that can also help mitigate the mp loss a little too. You said you passed this, which is great so I'm glad it worked out. If you have mp problems in the future, I usually set my Digimon to the 'conserve mp' option in the tactics menu? Your battles will be a bit slower as a result, but you'll also not have to keep running back to the city 24/7. You probably already know this, but I thought I'd mention it on the off chance. Thank you for posting man, especially if you don't comment that often. Awesome stuff!

    • @Nightmare-_-19
      @Nightmare-_-19 7 років тому

      Haha, don't mention it man.
      Before your guide, I was absolutely ready to give up on the game. I always under the impression that the gym was the best option for stat gains, even if it did take a lot of time. That just wasn't working in NeO. Super glad I came across your video and got the much needed help.
      Oh, I didn't know about the tactic thing, thanks! I'll try that once my digimon die. A small request: if you could make a video detailing methods to extend the life of a digimon, that would be more than awesome. I've seen some stuff on the internet, but nothing too extensive so far. Looking forward to next video!

    There are a few honorable mentions though.
    - Wizardmon in 'to Celeb Red Room'. My Rookie has ~3700 OFF and ~2900 WIS. Still getting +26 on them. 0 on STA and SPD. He got +26 Stamina until ~3000-3200. And not to forget the nice 4150 Bit for a fight.
    - Instead of the SnowAgumons you could fight the IceDevimon right before them in the Freeze Way. +26 on everything and about 800 Bit. Can't say anything to HP/MP because my Rookie had way more than in this Video. Still got +7 MP with 12600 MP though.

      I watch a lot of guides for various things on YT because I'm a dumbass. From my own experience, I'm normally super grateful when the person doing the guide puts Time Stamps in the description. It's probably because of this that I try to do it as much as I can, in order to save you guys as much time as possible. That being said, you should know that youtube has taken away the ability of Content Creators to put Time Stamp Annotations on the screen itself- this feature was removed around about April to make room for the end screen annotations. Unfortunately, you won't see this anymore unless the video was created before removal date. You might know this already, but just a heads up in case you didn't. Thanks for the comment friend! :)

    Restarted the game using this video (which helped me sooo much during my first playthru, thank you!) did totally forget that if my digimon went to champion before i got to certain thresholds, the stat gains dwindled hard.
    Right now I have a metagauru & daomon at the seadramon step, strength did get to 2k, but the rest nearly tickling the 1500 mark and hardly getting anything for the battle efforts :(

    Just a heads up, the Meteormon a bit further up from Piddomon is a lot closer to the entrance of the area and drops 2,000 Bits or 2,200 if you have bit collector. He's not exactly an easy fight but once you're a bit stronger and can take him out, he is relatively easy to grind for a pretty decent amount of money mid game.

    What advice would you give if you have too low stats by the time you hit champion? I followed the guide but time ran out and the Rookie’s evolved and they were around 1800. But then my champions could take on the seadramon but since it’s champion verse champion it’s less exp.
    They’re now ultimates with 2200-2400 stats. Anything I can train on or is this more of a re-do it once your digimon pass thing?

    okay, first of all I had to get into this game before going for your method.
    But, for everyone who is interested, it works.
    The fact that with certain skills your newborn digimon gets to respawn with about 14% of the stats the strongest previous generation had is crazy and should be taken advantage off. You see, if your strongest digimon had about 35k hp for example, your newborn digimon will spawn with about 5k already.
    So basically, make your digimons as strong as possible with every generation because with every next generation they will get stronger and better. Thus you have to farm less of the training spots this guy shows in the video!
    Currently I'm able to skip starting spots and go straight for seadramons to start with.
    The reason why this is good although time consuming, is that the less spots you have to travel around to, the more time you have for training. The stronger your digimons spawn, the more spots you can skip while saving more time.
    I have been slacking around for a good amount of time at the beginning but currently I'm with my 6th generation rookie level whose stats are at 6k each while I'm still fighting at Orange Wargrowlmon with it. All of this without even touching seraphimons food once yet. I'm just saying
    Amazing. Thanks for this video :D

      @@MrW01FY scratch what I said earlier. Within a day, my rookie is at 3k and I'm starting at WaruSeadramon until about 3.8k on all stats. Next will be Wargrowlmon (Orange).
      I don't know how but my rookie digimon was keep getting stats +26 before it evolved to champion.
      The funny part was, its stats were aroud 5.5k while I was easily still at Wargrowlmon grinding.
      What a fun game it is. Thanks for the beginner guide, it helped me out tremendously.
      I hope my comment is somewhat helpful for everyone who is or will be new to this.

    Just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your Next Order videos/guides. They have been so helpful to me and I am no longer struggling to train my digimon/progress through the story. I had so much difficulty with chapter one when I first started and nearly rage quit the game before I found your guides. For the longest time I struggled to even hit mega, and now I'm wishing I had more time in each stage to train as I can't actually hit all of the areas you recommend to reach certain stat levels before digivolution. Guess that will come as I get more trainer skills and different digimon in Floatia.
    I do have a question though, is there an easy way to resync my mega and rookie without devil chips? I'm only in the beginning of chapter two right now (I need to find more 'mons to bring to town >.

    • @MrW01FY
      @MrW01FY  6 років тому +1

      Hey Shiku, thanks for the post friend. I'm glad that you're having an easier time of it and getting to experience more of the game now. You are correct about picking up more tamer points/skills. What I normally recommend to players is to not get hung up on digivolving too early. If I started a new save today, I would run into the same problems. It's about knowing that, over time, you're guys will get stronger/live longer- but you already seem to have this down :P
      To answer your question about syncing up your digi's, the easiest way is with the devil chips. But if you don't have access to these then the only thing I can think of is marineangemon- which admittedly can get really tedious given how slow she operates. Until you can access lady devimon and buy the devi chips, I'm afraid I think this is the only way (other than maybe force killing your digimon over and over, but I wouldn't really recommend this). If it counts for anything, I don't think it matters too much if your guys are out of sync. Sometimes, when you do head back to the gym it can be really beneficial for the smaller digimon to be able to pick up extra stats. The only real downside to not having two digimon the same level would be if you are trying to fight a really tough boss, that requires two megas, or if you are trying to get a DNA fusion via death when in battle.
      Sorry for the wall of text, and also for not being able to help you more. Keep at it and hopefully you'll have access to devichips soon. Until then, you might just have to soldier on :P thanks again!

    • @Shikuofbluelightning
      @Shikuofbluelightning 6 років тому

      I'm not really bothered by what my digimon digivolve into and when? It's more of the fact that there is such a big difference between the two and the more beneficial training (to me anyway, I do understand that the smaller gets a bonus to training in the gym but still) for the younger is with fights that the older doesn't really benefit from. I wouldn't mind them being in different stages so much if they were only one apart??? As of yesterday I had a BanchoLeomon (third gen, and gym trained) with stats between 2.5 and 3k. My other digimon, a fourth gen Gumdramon I took out fighting following this guide and he hit the 2-2.5k range before digivolving into Arresterdraom. (I got in maybe two Seadramon fights before he went "nope, digivolvoing now")
      Wall of text is no big deal~ The help you could offer is enough to get me started at least. Hopefully I will get access to the devilchips soon, but the big issue is I'm not even sure where to find LadyDevimon pft Thanks for the reply!

    • @MrW01FY
      @MrW01FY  2 роки тому +1

      Don't worry Mojo! This happens to everyone in the beginning. However, as you get further into the game, you will earn a lot more tamer points and thus tamer skills. Some of the tamer skills/perks you can choose are 'increase digimon's life' & 'gain more stats upon digivolution', etc. The more you play, the longer your digimon will last between each evolution stage which will give you more time. In addition, when your digimon die, you'll inherit stats from your previous gens (and so you'll kind of become perpetually stronger).
      The only other advice I can have is to try to save as much time as possible, using auto pilots and birdramon transport. Every second you spend travelling, is wasted. The transport will be expensive and pretty unaffordable early but the more you play, the richer you'll become.
      I've got a fully edited/informed lets play here on the channel if you're interested or need further help. It shows how I play and how to do things efficiently: ua-cam.com/play/PLE3sw8KYN43e_LMAbq_aqeeJ3VrQvDAJ3.html

    • @MrW01FY
      @MrW01FY  7 років тому +1

      Hey Saber, thanks dude- glad you found the vid useful. I think you might still find some of the later spots helpful for your current digimon, but it might be easier to follow with a fresh generation so that you can compare from the beginning? You don't have to do this but it will make following the guide a little easier? You could maybe use your current generation to farm money and tamer points, then have a really try-hard run from the beginning with your new eggs? I don't know if this made too much sense but I hope that helps a little! Cheers for posting homie, good luck! :)

I've only ever trained upto Metal Seadramon but never capped out against him. I haven't tried to gain max stats myself as I never really tried. If I were to have a guess though, I'd recommend checking out some of the tougher parts of the Dimension District. hey, i know this video is old and you are probably not looking into it anymore, but i find myself struggling even with your guide. i have plenty of heal items, so thats not the problem. right now i have two rookie/child level digimon (stats around 250) and i'm beating goblimons for stats. all i get is +1 on all stats, except str which i get around +25. why is that?
    maybe they changed something in the european/german version? its the second generation.
    my generation 1 didnt get to mega/ultimate level, just ultra level, sadly :(
    any idea whats going on?

    • @MrW01FY
      @MrW01FY  4 роки тому

      Yo Belias, I feel you. Sometimes the game can be a bit merciless and give you rubbish stats. What this means is that you're Digimon are too strong for those enemies in all areas but strength. All I can recommend is that you take all your healing items and try to look for another enemy that is tougher (hopefully one nearby). This guide is mostly a template for training but you will have to make some adjustments to suit your own game. It's ok that you never got to Mega with your gen 1 rookies, I would normally not expect mega before gen 2 or 3. There is actually a few tamer points in the tamer tree that give you extra stats when you win battles, save up and acquire these points when you can.
      Finally, we have a full let's play of this game here on the channel that will show you how to level and digivolve properly. Even if you don't enjoy Let's Plays or have the time to watch them, it might still be a good idea to click through it and have a look at how we train. The full playthrough is edited to cut out boring bits and I discuss multiple times how to train efficiently. This game is a bit rough at first but becomes really easy when you learn how to get strong. Good luck and have fun friend :)

      @@MrW01FY thanks for your response! helps me alot, i tried some of your later spots and it worked! i'm now at my second generation though, 1,5k stats but sadly, they already turned champion now. i tried going to stepstep for more stat grinding but thats where my story will progress and i can't seem to beat machinedramone. guess i have to push them to the next digi-stage to beat it.
      i'll look into your lets play, thanks for the tip :)

    So, something I'm hoping you can answer for me.
    Currently on my 4th generation after getting part of the grind down pat during the 3rd Gen, and I'm wondering; I have all the inheritance parameter Order Skills, and my Gen 4 eggs came out with about 400 to 500 in its stats not counting HP and MP. I got their stats to around the 1500 mark fighting against the Garurumon in StepStep before they digivolved, meaning I couldn't go and work on grinding against the Seadramon next.
    Basically, do the Digimon's stats likely increase on every rebirth to make jumping into the higher leveled Digimon grinding easier? Or can I block ALL their digivolution paths so they stay as Rookies until I amass their stats to around 2500-3000?

    • @Solinesn3p

      I came across this vid recently. I was thinking the same damn thing. You cant block all digi route so you have to leave one option open. Unfortunately my digimon became desynced and it makes it tricky imo.
      From what I found out the rebirth is a bit useless. The first egg is 10% of stats while the rest is +1%... so a total of 14. Not sure how true that is but if it is... what the heck.

    I've watched each of your guides for Next Order and found them super helpful. I just wish I had discovered them sooner. I keep hearing that its better to keep digimon slightly a part in age/stage (and you also mentioned so in this video), can you explain why that is?

    • @MrW01FY
      @MrW01FY  7 років тому +1

      What's up Viet, thanks for the msg friendo! Some players like having their life cycles slightly apart as having one digimon at a higher stage above the other (ie, champion -> ultimate) provides the younger one with a massive stat buff when using the gym. It's the little blue arrow that points upwards when spinning the slots. This is probably the most prominent reason :)

    So if you wanted to actually stat cap your partners, after you thoroughly diminish your returns from PlatinumNumemon you'd go the rest of the way with the Restaurant and the Gym then? Or is there a relatively renewable source of Chips to use for the last push?

      MetalSeadramon in the concealed gorge of Absolute Zero will take you higher if you have access to it. It’s post final boss but takes your stats higher. Check out my updated 2023 training spots video for more info: ua-cam.com/video/dogpxyt1L50/v-deo.html

    This video is exactly what I've been looking for! Definitely bookmarking this one so i can refer back to it. One thing i gotta point out though is around 13:18 when you are mentioning the stat caps when training against platinum numemon, it seems you added an extra zero to the totals for strength, stamina, speed, and wisdom. But anyway, keep up the good work man.

    Hello I need your advice... My Taomon and Garudamon stats all 2k plus nearly 3k... I understand this battle training it's best starting from rookie level.... I battle with Guardromon it's only boost Def stat +26... I tried Orange WarGrowlmon but he too strong for me? Any idea which Digimon I can battle and can boost all ranks?

    Wolfy man before I saw this I used to spam gym, you saved me man the game is so much better when you grind like this. But I’m having a little issue I don’t have enough time to train as high as I need for post game I always run out of time around 3k cuz they digivolve into champions what can I do?

    • @MrW01FY

      Hey Justin, I hope that you are well dude- thanks for the comments. I'm sorry that I've not had a chance to reply sooner but I hope that the guides are helping and that you're enjoying the Let's Play 👍
      To answer your question, there's a couple of things that may be affecting your early digivolution but I can't know with knowing more about your own game. What I would recommend is to:
      1) Make sure you have all the tamer points that extend digimon's life; both regularly and after digivolution.
      2) Make sure that you have the tamer points that give you extra stats after each battle.
      3) Make sure that you are using the Birdramon transport service to save as much time as possible on your travels. Sometimes it can take a day to walk to a training spot, which is no good. Birdramon is expensive but it is instantaneous, which is much more efficient.
      4) Try to waste as little time between battles as possible in order to get as many stat increases in as possible. Try to take lots of items with you when you leave to train and only return to the city when it is super necessary.
      Other than this, keep playing and training. Your character will eventually earn more tamer skills and your digimon should get stronger through the generations (because of the points inherited from the digimon before them, etc).
      Anyways, sorry for the spam. I hope things are going more successfully for you and that you're enjoying the game dude. Have a great day and take it easy! :)

    Level 2900-3900 Faulty Exmachina Hinterlands (just beyond the Mod Cape 3.0) Orange WarGrowlmon (1900bits), and then 2nd area Blue Metal Greymon ( 5000bit, warning stay to your left passing in front of Metal Garuramon). These are not easy fights to start, but doing this back and forth fight should cover any bits spent, so bring large hp discs for the fight like 30-40 (mostly for Metal Greymon), and 80 medium hp/mp discs for between fights keep hp at 90%/mp 80%. WarGrowlmon wisdom caps at 2800, however that is the same stat Metal Greymon will cover up to 3700-3900 stats. Basically zoning back and forth will give you the stats you want here 3700-3900 range. This takes the place of WereGaramon 3200-3900 (Bony Graveyard Cemetery Church) I stopped getting acceptable stats at 4k, perhaps because my rookie digivolved before WereGaruramon he's still good to grind 9k bits.

    This is end game stuff but there are also 2 GranKuwagamon in the final map of the Infinity Cauldron for grinding in preparations to fight in the dimensional dungeons. There is also Metalseadramon in Ice Sanctuary.To help the growth of medium/high level partners ex Machina's Metalgreymon and basically all the other digimons in Infinity Cauldron are good choices .

      Yo Rukodiora, thanks for this friend! I actually didn't know about the 2 GranKuwagamon but this sounds super useful (and also slightly painful?). Will defo check that out soon. As for Metalseadramon, we did another video here on the channel of 10 more useful training spots and we included him along with some others in there. I don't imagine that this video would be any use to you personally, as it seems like you're already way up the top of the food chain in terms of strength :D Thanks again for taking the time to post this buddy, I really appreciate you sharing this with us. Good intel that I'm sure a lot of players will benefit from! :)

    • @RukodioraFatalis

      No problem at all mate; the GranKuwagamons appears after recruiting Agunimon in the final layer of the Infinity Cauldron. Fighting them both at the same time could be problematic if not boasting 6000/6500 strenght and stamina or you doubt your ploy skills so I recommend to fight them singly; after I wrote the first comment I saw the video regarding Metalseadramon silly me! :) Btw love your vids especially the DLC suggestions, it gave me a lot of fun ideas!
