- Noémie Merlant is an actress who's popularity grew with "Portrait of a Lady (Portrait de la jeune fille en feu)" delivers the lead role in "Jumbo". The feature film had it's European Premiere at Berlinale as part of the Generation 14Plus program. In our CineVino interview with Noémie Merlant and the director of "Jumbo" Zoé Wittock, we asked Noémie Merlant what it was like working with Zoé Wittock.
A co-production of France, Luxembourg, and Belgium, "Jumbo" tells the story of Jeanne, a young woman who creates an affectionate, love affair with a machine ride called Jumbo and the conflict this attraction causes between Jeanne and her mother.
Jumbo previously premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. This is the first feature film for Zoé Wittock. Jumbo stars Noémie Merlant in the lead role of Jeanne Tantois. It co-stars Emmanuelle Bercot, Bastien Bouillon, and Sam Louwyck.
