- Learn how to make easy Syrian Shortbread Cookies or as we say in Arabic, Ghraybeh! Every Syrian I tested this recipe on enjoyed it immensely, so I hope you will too!

Ingredients
300g flour, sifted
150g clarified butter or ghee (room temp/softened)
120g powdered sugar
handful of pistachios
STEPS
Cream softened ghee and powdered sugar together in a stand mixer at medium speed, about 5 min, scraping down sides halfway through.
Place mixing bowl with creamed ghee and sugar in the fridge for 5 min.
Add flour and mix at lowest speed until combined, 1-3 min.
Roll dough by hand into a log (like a roll of quarters). Section into even cookie-sized pieces.
Shape cookies and add 1 pistachio per cookie onto a baking try.
Place cookies and tray into fridge for 5 min.
Put tray into the middle of a 300°F for 9min or until just set.
Allow cookies to cool and Enjoy! Sahtain!
