- Spider-Man on the Atari 2600 gameplay. released in 1982 by Parker Brothers. It was the first Spider-Man video game. Im not very good at it but having a good time playing it. So you might want to check it out its a fun game for the 2600

I was 6 years old when I used to play this on our Atari. Great game. I was rubbish at it.
4 and 5 for me. Then I got an NES for my 6th birthday. River Raid was my favorite. Now I've got out an old 2600 and spending way too much $$$ refurbishing it and getting the games I want.

I can barely remember playing this, it was so long ago. I do remember I thought it was an excellent game for that time period. Seeing it now it’s quite amusing how simple it is, but they all were at that time.

im 43 years old and this game was shown to ME by my stepbrother and his friends who were teens when it was released in about 1986..

My old neighbor had this game. I used to read a whole bunch of Spider-Man comic books from the time at her place, so it was easy to imagine I was Spider-Man, climbing up buildings. I recently saw the commercial for this game. It's so fucking funny and representative of the times. BTW, I played this game in the 1990s. Somewhere around 95?
i remember being a kid and went on a trip and my dad bought me this on the first day.. i had to stare at the box art for over a week.. drove me nuts.. i remember thinking the graphics looked like real life.. oh how things change ;p

5:44 I don't think I ever made it further than here. Splat! I went crazy when I glimpsed the commercial...there was never enough Marvel in the mainstream. And now, this is probably as far as I ever saw. I wanted the Hulk game to be great, but never found one for me. Big fan of Combat and Galaxian.

*It's the 1st Spiderman games ever made.* 35 years old and still great. I have this and it's exciting when you miss your mark with a web and fall because you know if you don't latch back on in time then..... *SPLAT.* (And also when you're running out of web fluid). This is one of the most fun and playable old ATARI VCS/2600 games.

I haven't made a comment in years, but I can't take this any longer! So, this is the designer for Spider-man? Designer? Maybe, but just who did this concept come from? Answer: From my older brother and myself! So here's the real truth. Back in the early 80's I was attending a school called New North Middle School, which is located in Springfield Ma. Last I heard the name was changed to Garena Middle school. Back then , there were some people who came to the school, they asked us kids to enter a contest in which we would enter our ideas as to what would make a good video game. So I went home, got out my drawing papers ect. I told my brother, I'm trying to come up with an idea for a video game, so he (older brother) said why not make Spider-man, climbing up a building, while dodging bombs from The Green Goblin? So, it sounded good to me, and I drew up this concept, and turned it back into the school. After that, never heard nothing else about it! Later,...suddenly Atari comes out with Spider-man, done the same way as my brother and myself had came up with! I won't accuse Laura of stealing, but someone did!
