Unfortunately, it doesn't seem the case. I've just seen a no-death playthrough of the game, and it still gets a Bad Ending. Apparently it's connected to managing to damage a certain number of bosses, like smashing Moai's face, removing Centaur's mask, destroying Fungus/Slime's nucleus... (It's even possibile to make Brainy's main eye fall off, but I've seen it in a single video years ago and they managed when it was almost dead anywy.) But I'm not sure it's linked to that either. No one seems to know what really and exactly determines the ending, and it's frustrating.
Apparently you actually get the worser ending for beating the game with no continues. Not sure if that was a mistake or the developers were just trolling.
This was really well programmed/designed. When you're thrashing the bosses it actually shows how overwhelmed they are, and by that I mean the player-enemy dynamic is very well executed simple as it may be.
Yes I know. And judging where the skull symbol is on the map, Its hard to say but it seams to be the borderline between Brazil and Peru. I think its more in Peru area rather than on Brazil.
but Brazil does have ancient megaliths in Amapá state though. and since they also found prehistorical humanoid figurine in the same site, the possibilities of Brazil has her own prehistoric megalithic statue is very likely.
I remember this from when I was a kid. Nice play of an awesome game. Was this based on an anime? It kinda has that vibe to it. I'd forgotten how cool the soundtrack was.
Great playing. Was wondering if it was possible to avoid those bombs on that last boss. One thing I did enjoy a lot about the game was the music. Very heroey.
Anne might have the best costume of any female video game character 13:20 I knew the bad guy would lose when she got into the Cosmic Tank...women can't drive 8D
ivan bucio Well, what you see is what you get. With exception of small side scrolling stages after beating the 8 bosses and has Coop Multiplayer. If you enjoyed Mega Man Power Battle series or you're the fan of the Fighting Games overall, then it's worth a try for sure. ; )
Someone should cosplay Anna and the Final Boss lol. I really like the themes to Diablo (Street Fighter much?), Fungus, and Robo Ape. Finally, Konami wouldn't be Konami without a Gradius reference in the likes of Moai and Ducker.
by all bosses I'm hoping that there were stages leading up to these bosses. This looks like it would be a great side scrolling beatem up but it looks more like a fighting game. Still a very curious game none the less.
I have a weak connection to this game. When I was ten or so, I was on a family holiday in Spain when we were in a restaurant. I then saw two arcade cabinets. One was Metal Slug, the other was this. I wanted to play it, but I was shy about video games. They seemed like something you shouldn't play - which I always knew was nonsense but I was an irrational child. Anyway, I just watched. Eventually, someone was playing it, just like I was hoping. I got to see a bit, I think, thanks to them and the attract mode. I forgot the name of the game over the years, but I was able to track down its identity thanks to "Ask The Tropers" on TVTropes. Although I must admit, the final boss is kinda lame looking compared to some of the others. Another mech? Yawn.
Wow, I have a similar story. This game was in a city in the north of Spain (Laredo? Santoña? I always mix the two). I was completely struck by how awesome it looked. It also was running in a Megalo 50 inch cabinet, so imagine seeing those HUGE enemies for the first time. I believe it was summer of 94 or 95 since I didn't heard of Metal Slug until later. Also it was the japanese version, so the only thing I could remember was that you could fight a brain, a dragon, moai, centaur and an slime monster and the game showed "DD" between levels (instead of MM on the international version). After years it turned out to be this game (DD = DaDarn Darn). The ost is pure 90's Konami magic.
Heh, everybody's noting how the brain, dragon, and moai bosses are copied out of Gradius/Life Force, but has anybody else noticed that Diablo is basically a pastiche of Street Fighter characters? Specifically, Blanka, Ryu, and Honda?
Boss list:
00:51 Boss 01 Serpent
01:12 Boss 02 Brainy
01:50 Boss 03 Spider Wort
02:31 Boss 04 Moai
03:51 Boss 05 Diablo
04:54 Boss 06 Centaur
06:29 Boss 07 Dragon
08:07 Boss 08 Fungus
09:40 Boss 09 Ducker
11:21 Boss 10 Robo-Ape
13:08 Final Boss - Cosmic Tank
Какой эмулятр для аркадных автоматов ты используешь ?
Can you put it into the description to stay consistent with your other (awesome) videos?
+Yagyu Styles yes it is!
Boss 09- Not Boyacky
Boss 10- Not Tonzura
Final Boss- Not Doronjo
Brainy 38:2
I like how the credits exclusively show the heroes getting thrashed by the bosses, it's like the bosses are doing their own (no damage) run.
After all that rape they've been put through for our entertainment,we'll say they've earned it.
That's the Bad Ending. The game needs to be beaten without continues to get the good one.

@@Superluigi881 Propably just a joke to discover for someone who manage to beat the game first time without continues, which my be surprising a bit.
Gotta love how the Final Bosses are based on Doronbo Gang from Yattaman.
This game is clearly a homage to the tokusatsu series and the superheroes anime from the 70's to 90's
5:53 Chill out Centaur!. She is not your type!
Damn, this bitch suplexes everything, even dragons and robots!
Zangieff approves of this.
will jace LMAO bruh...
I wonder if... Dick Suplex(? xD
3:56 I love Diablo's theme the Roaring Thunder! ⚡👹
Nothing like saving the world with pro wrestling.
Well now, I didn't expect to see a female power ranger molest a tentacle brain monster today O_o'
I enjoyed it.
Consider myself a cabinet Hunter n never heard of this one, thanx for the schoolin
You might wish to see also how it plays with two players being able to combine their characters and attacks, then.
Giacomo Sorbi oh yes, I whish
Giacomo Sorbi wish
This was really well programmed/designed.
When you're thrashing the bosses it actually shows how overwhelmed they are, and by that I mean the player-enemy dynamic is very well executed simple as it may be.
5:44 I see where Kirby's up grab came from
4:44 Crows feasting on the demon, brutal.
El Bandito a
I’ve been looking for this game for ever! Thanks :)
I never get a chance to beat the game because i kept switching from game to game and it was so many games to play
damn i'm impressed with this run. You pretty much owned the bosses.
Also excellent bgm on robo ape haha
The 5th boss is... the original Oni Akuma!
The game is awesome. But we have no Moai here in Brazil. Our natives never build one. It's from Easter Island.
Douglas Baldan the Japanese are ignorant.
Los Moais, estan en la Isla de Pascua, que pertenece al territorio de Chile.
Yes I know. And judging where the skull symbol is on the map, Its hard to say but it seams to be the borderline between Brazil and Peru. I think its more in Peru area rather than on Brazil.

But Megaliths are very different from Moais. Plus, the mark in the map is not over the Amapa area.
You might as well change the name to " Monster Grappling" after all those successful throws.B)
Thanks for this!
Dis game has some of most kickass music I've heard and goddamn I'd never fight that bitch as much as she throws
Wow I've never seen, played or heard of this game before- 👍👍👍.
Wow, never heard of this! And I thought I had played all the arcade games available with MAME!
buenas maniobras owlette lunagirl
Now we know Sabin's girlfriend (you know "he has suplexed a train").
the moai head shoots a ringed laser....hmmmmm... konami check!
I’m pretty sure that Diablo was blanka’s brother
characters like that and the big moai give the essence of ultraman in the game
It's pretty funny watching huge boss monsters all get thrown around like rag dolls.
Wow, that girl character have made the 90's boys pervy.
Especially since, if her clothes were any tighter, her victory pose would *REALLY* show her stuff. (Pervy 😉.)
just realized brainy makes the chestbuster's squeal from the first alien movie when he dies
So, that's the first boss from Life Force then.
I love the ape funk for the roboape fight
Moai in Brazil?
...wait.
How you make the piledriver at 5:44?
I remember this from when I was a kid. Nice play of an awesome game.
Was this based on an anime? It kinda has that vibe to it.
I'd forgotten how cool the soundtrack was.
this game has a couple of nice tunes
Wow, some bosses are extremely similar to Gradius bosses, like Brainy (Brain Golem) and a Moai. Good job reusing them, Konami...
They are iconic konami bosses
Konami + Tatsunoko's "Time Bokan" series.
Also the ducker tank
Wow...the game STARTS with a womb level?! That's heavy.
Is no one going to talk about how good this music is
It's amazing you did this all with Shadowserg credits. lol
* Credits being your logo, bottom-right*
Great game play!
Diablo = Blanka's and Akuma's son
IvanSensei88 No it's a fusion.
On which System do you play? Where I can get those arcade classics?
It can be played on Mame. This game was released only in arcades and never saw an home port.
This game was fun as hell
Great playing. Was wondering if it was possible to avoid those bombs on that last boss. One thing I did enjoy a lot about the game was the music. Very heroey.
14:57
They make ginyu poses
Great bahpomet in the background on the red dragon stage...illuminati confirmed
Anne might have the best costume of any female video game character
13:20 I knew the bad guy would lose when she got into the Cosmic Tank...women can't drive 8D
14:42
"Kuyashii!"
Hahaha...
The tank poops bombs..nice
pause around 1:23 no comment on how it looks when she is trying to outpower the monster for the slam...
9:45 "My name is mr. Tchi"?
Diablo looks like Blanca from SF. Is that on purpose?
More like Oni Akuma.
BoggyTheWorm well I guess that makes sense. Since diablo and Oni mean almost the same thing.
15:23
Looks enjoyable! Would you consider it a good game though? Can't really tell from just looking.
ivan bucio Well, what you see is what you get. With exception of small side scrolling stages after beating the 8 bosses and has Coop Multiplayer. If you enjoyed Mega Man Power Battle series or you're the fan of the Fighting Games overall, then it's worth a try for sure. ; )
i played this game before and i really thought it was impossible to score perfect.
And that's how you get rid of fungus. Just pile drive it.
Hilarious walk cycle.
Someone should cosplay Anna and the Final Boss lol. I really like the themes to Diablo (Street Fighter much?), Fungus, and Robo Ape. Finally, Konami wouldn't be Konami without a Gradius reference in the likes of Moai and Ducker.
is that Negative Wonder Woman? Going to fly off in her visible jet when she's all done?
by all bosses I'm hoping that there were stages leading up to these bosses. This looks like it would be a great side scrolling beatem up but it looks more like a fighting game. Still a very curious game none the less.
It's what TV Tropes calls a "Boss Game".
Mathew Haswell ah ok. Thanks
Suplexin' and flexin'.
It's true, thicc thighs do save lives!
esse cara é top joga demais
that 5th boss is definitely Raiden (Japanese god not the MK character with same name)
I think you mean Raijin
if that's his proper Japanese name I apologize
it is either Raijin or a Raiju, a type of demon related to lightning.
I have a weak connection to this game.

A girl boss, two bumbler robot pilots, skulls... Time bokan series anyone??

Holy shit, brain golem from gradius?
and the Easter Island Head thing that shoots ripples
I Think they have variations of gradius music too
Golem from Life Force/Salamander.
Moai :v
Life Force had a segmented dragon-head boss too.
Piledriver Mania !
I think this game inspired red earth
LMSO!!!!! That crab walk
I went you to make IGS pirate revenge arcade game all bosses video,
*What eve are these body movements*
Looks like a good time
This is like Power Rangers mixed with Red Earth and Alien Soldier
I thought it was Konami, they have a habit of using old video games of theirs as inspiration for Yugioh cards--in this case Ducker
L3wd
AWESOME!
is it just me or might the hero be Zangief's wife?
Have you notice that the second boss brainy is actually brain golem you know the brain boss of salamander and gradius that follows you.
And also the moai it's appearence is base on the gradius moai heck when his health is almost down he turns red based on the angry moai.
And there's one more baddie that appear in gradius the ducker except it's a appearence is red and it's ride by a scientist.
Wait a minute is know why these enemies from gradius are here as bosses because this was made by Konami.
I mean publish
YEAAHHH...!!!! like it... :D
If Contra were a brawler LOL.
Suplexing dragons. Is Anne's last name Putin?
3:51 Made in China Blanka
Man, Anne is mos def bae.
0:31 Dr Wily?
Wow the girl isn't the most exposed in this game?
This game is fun
0:12 Dr.Wily, is that you?
0:13 Oh, okay. I guess we're fighting his family or something while he deals with Megaman.
Heh, everybody's noting how the brain, dragon, and moai bosses are copied out of Gradius/Life Force, but has anybody else noticed that Diablo is basically a pastiche of Street Fighter characters? Specifically, Blanka, Ryu, and Honda?
these mostly all bosses from other konami games lol.
Looks very Tatusunoko-ish.
The three villains in particular, a clear homage to the Doronbo gang.
She's out plex'n taz n lesner combined
The first boss appears to be a character of Maruosa Aca xD

try the game mazinsaga (génesis)
1:21 Wut
It's a mind-fuck. What did you expect?
That chick is wierdly hot
A lot of these are just straight-up enemies from Gradius. Same universe perhaps?
Looks enjoyable! Would you consider it a good game though? Can't tell from just looking.
I played myself and its a good and fun game, you can play coop with a friend.
