notice that rodríguez is wearing heavy trainers that are terrible for sprinting but ronaldo is using much lighter football boots that would significantly disrupt the results.
Eddie Miles and who scored the world cup goals and goals agains the best teams in football history with and against the best players and goalkeepers in the world ?
He is wearing cleats which are used to quickly stop and change direction in the grass (or turf). It also allows for you to "grip" the ground for more traction. In other words give them both cleats if you are running on turf.
first test was about just running, surely both of them have tried that before, but for the second test, seems like the sprinter did not have experience with before, so he did not know the better way to run through it. still ronaldo is fast but i think the sprinter could have won if he trained for the second test too
Bernd Bananenbieger I was talking about the zig zag race. I'm sure the sprinter would have won if he had spikes instead of flat shoes. Ronaldo had much better grip with his soccer shoes.
You guys dont seem to understand how much 3/10 of a second is on a 25 meter dash.. The sprinters PB is 10.14 and assuming his time with these trainers at 100m would be about 10.5 seconds Ronaldo would still be way above 11 seconds on the 100m dash. He loses 0.3 secs on 25m, so lets estimate he´d be losing at least 1.2 seconds on 100m (probably even more than that) which would be about 11.7 seconds, which is not extremely fast for a soccer player. I can't listen to those comparisons between sprinters and soccer players anymore. Soccer players just cannot keep up with straight line sprinters.
0.3 seconds x 4 =1.2 seconds, and above because Ronaldo hasn't specific training for 100m . In a 100m sprint with starting blocks, reaction time and electric crono , i think he runs in 11.70 seconds.
@@larissakomakha6841 Ronaldo jogged at the end so its more like 0.2 x 4 = 0.8. The sprinter does 10.2 so ronaldo around 11. And with some track training ronaldo can def run in the 10s
the fastest football players probably can do a low 11s 100 metres. All the young players are quick nowadays, back when this was filmed Ronaldo was the quickest but a lot of guys like Mbappe and Sterling would smoke Ronaldo in a 100 metre dash. The fastest I ever ran a 100 metres was 11.6 and I don't do as much training as these players do, i trained for sprinting but not as much as these players do. I'm saying that Mbappe or someone like that would get a low 11 time and maybe even break 11 seconds with proper sprint training.
Wait, why is the sprinter wearing conventional running shoes while CR gets to where cleats doing the zig-zag course? In that case CR has a huge advantage over the sprinter!
People mention cleats or w/e I guess these "tests" were made with the profession of the relative performers involved. The only thing you need worry about is the difference in time between the 2 seperate tests, which show that a footballer is better at the weaving course and a sprinter is better at straight line speeds.
Jeremiah Meade sprinters wear a DIFFERNT type of cleats so he is at the disadvantage Becuase he will slip those shoes are for long distance not ACUTAL sprinting
(I am Jeremiah) I am aware of that... I am both a sprinter and soccer player and I'm not bad at either one (look at the two videos I posted on my Jeremiah Meade channel for track, but I don't have any of me playing soccer, my team recently one district and we are going to quarterfinals for state now in soccer) anyway... they should be wearing the same type of footwear for this to be a legit experiment.
Are you kidding? He lost by .3 on 30 meters, which translates into over a second in 109 meters. Given Ronaldo's lousy form and short stride, it would likely be much more. Ronaldo would have a tough time breaking 11.5. He's a great footballer, but he's out of his league in sprinting.
0.3 difference in 25m... Ok, we all know that Cristiano can't rub sub-11sg the 100m for shit. PD: To anyone saying the sprinter sucks. He is the Spanish National record holder in 100m: 10.14sg pretty good if you ask me ¿or can anyone here beat his mark?
Pablo Cid lol no less i think. I have a friend who ran a 100m in 11.50 2years earlier and he is not that fast. Just powerful and tall, another friend who do sprint in a club and ran a 100m in 11.05
Marco Gotze look, I'm a track athlete, and Cristiano can`t sprint for shit, he has high stride frequency, but ZERO displacement, and what about his form... absolutely HORRIBLE. With that 25m time (where he pretty much gained his top end speed while the sprinter was still accelerating) he can't run sub-11.
Everyone says 'Put him against an NFL runnigback'. No. Put him against an actual sprinter. Someone running actual oly numbers sub 10.1. Then do the test. NO COMPARISON.
Ronaldo is quite fast especially when you consider how inefficient his sprinitng technique is. By changing his technique, he would get a much faster time. Ronaldo's technique is helpful for soccer though because having your arms out is typical to hold off opponents and for maintaining balance while having to change directions or absorb contact. Ronaldo is actually better build than the pro sprinter for sprinting. He's taller and more muscular. They should do a video where Ronaldo learn and do sprinters form and see what time he gets.
footballers hardly have to do anything but look fit and even wayne rooney isn't capable of that, but most admit was impressed with a footballer not injuring himself is something difficult to see these days.
Ummm...90 minutes of running takes more than looking fit. Even baseball professional athletes are more fit than average people, much less soccer players.
i understand that they both beat each other at their own strength but imagine if one of them beat the other at the others strength that woulda been kind of sad lmao
I don't understand why people compare the sports to the level of one is harder/better then the other. Each sport has mechanics, training, and thinking involved in it regardless of what it is.
.3 seconds is hardly a narrow loss over 25. The sprinter was always going to win that race. It'd be a different story after 80 minutes of aerobic activity though Ronaldo would cream him.
0.3 narrow? watch the olympic 100m final and check out how much 0.3s diffrence is. And this is on such a small distance. Ronaldo wont even run below 11.5s lol! this sprinter is not even that good to. ( Anymore ).
so when ronaldo loses by .3 seconds in a 3-4 second race it's considered 'narrow,' but when he wins by .5 seconds in a 6-7 second race it's 'quite a margin' someone make sense of this for me?
So what did we learn today? Athletes who are trained to run in a straight line are better at running straight lines, as opposed to an athlete who is trained in agility to shift directions... who is better at shifting directions. Save your time, move on to another video
He didn't narrowly loose shit, he was annihilated. .3 of a second over 25m is MASSIVE. That would probably be about 2.5+ at 100m, The sprinter wouldn't be at top speed over 25m but i bet CR was. The zig zag he was wearing running trainers again CR's football shoes? why did that change? Spikes take 7 seconds off of my 400m time and i'm shit at running. Why do people keep on claiming he's even a match for top level sprinters? He isn't.
Not that fast either of them. Did the calculations and top NFL athletes, who test with 40 yard dash, at their speed would clock at 2.9 at this distance tested in this video. By the way, the NFL athletes don't use blocks to start.
Usain Bolt isn't the only great sprinter. There are many other who run sub 10sec. So why a noname sprinter? To don't let ronaldo looks bad in comparison?
What? didn't understand some of the things you said. Bolt isn't the only fast sprinter yes that's true. The only problem is Bolt hasn't been caught with PED's yet. That's the problem modern sprinters are facing, some are just caught with PED's like: Asafa Powell and Tyson Gay. Both fast guys, but they`ve been caught. Bolt was almost caught too, they have to prove it though
i asked why they took a noname sprinter in the video. Maybe to give ronaldo a chance. Nothing more. About PED's it's a different story but you have to distinguish between sprinters. Also between Gay and Powell. For example Powell took oxilforin which helps you to burn fat and it is found in many medicines but it's not a performance enhancer. You have to take an extremly dose of it to enhance your perfomance and this isn't possible. It's like drinking to much coffee. Why should he take it on purpose? He often mentioned it. You can easy caught oxilforin. So it doesn't make sense. Unlike Tyson Gay he took steroids on purpose. He admit it and that's the point of the distinction. About Bolt, to be honest i don't know if he take PED's or not but jamaicas doping controlls aren't the best.
NFL players are faster then both. Considering their play style is also cutting sharp corners and some clock in at 4.3s on the 40 yard dash. This makes then faster, and more agile a lot of them could easily be in the Olympics if they wanted to be.
Sorry, but no NFL player is beating a sprinter in any race, especially in one where they have to react to a gun (they'd get left at the starting line). NFL 40yd dash times are hand timed (i.e. really inaccurate) and the clock starts based on their movement. Sprinting is an entirely different game.
Jeff demps Olympic sprinter and nfl player... I bet Chris Johnson could compare to Olympic sprinters also. Byron Jones had a 12'3" broad jump, beating the world record, he is also in the nfl
To everyone that keeps saying this is unfair: Its not unfair because they aren't looking only at who wins, they are looking at the way they move. In futbol, you have to always be thinking, where is sprinting, you know where you have to go. Listen to them, they were comparing their strides and turns. I think it was good they let them keep the shoe they were most used to and most comfortable in because you're going to run better in the shoe you normally run in. I agree that this would be unfair if they did this for only the purpose of who won.
Sprinters use sprinting spikes, not normal shoes. He would have been fine in football shoes. Its a huge disadvantage to wear normal shoes. The test was not standardised.

SuperAvocado But you are saying the same thing as half the top comments so...... you got some likes though, that's all you wanted right? congratz well earned likes! Lol
i know that.I was a track and field athlete for 20 years and i know (based on my experience) that spikes (with the correct length) are faster than boots on grass (on a straigth line)
i'm amazed - at the point that this video was suggested to me, a small part of my brain managed to convince me that i give a fuck - i need to re-evaluate my life
There are so many myths and bullshit surrounding how fast footballers are. Most would struggle to break 12 seconds in the 100m, the fastest would be low 11s, the only ones running in the 10s would be people who crossed over from doing track. Most footballers guesstimate their times based on what they did as a kid which is dubious at best. As for the brass tax, Theo Walcott's only confirmed time is a hand timed 11.58 as a 14 year old. That's moderately quick, but since a lot of British kids who run quicker than that then actually keep training as sprinters as adults and struggle to get in the low to mid 10s, it's dubious to just presume Walcott must be loads quicker now. Also there is absolutely no evidence that Gareth Bale ran 11.4 as a kid, again the only confirmed times he ran are 2 min 24 in the 800m and 4min 59 in the 1500m set in 2002. Everything else is just rumours and guessing. Also the quickest sprinters in the NRL did a 100m race, proper on track with spikes, the winning time was 11.1, and rugby league players are a lot more explosive and powerful than footballers.
+Earl Jellicoe that wasn't the fastest NRL (Rugby League) players though, the fastest NRL players are guys like James Roberts and Marika Koroibete and they both run it at about mid 10"s Koroibete is about a 10.6-10.5 and I'd say Roberts is about a 10.4
who dat they have probably done timed sprints, but a lot of it is recorded on what they have done in game, like how many k/ph they hit while sprinting, Koroibete even hit the equivalent of a 10.36 in a rainy game with a torn up ground
Don't pretend to be an expert when you're quite clueless. You can't extrapolate the 0.3sec difference to be 1.2sec for 100m (even if you did add 1.2sec to Rodriguez's 10.14PB, 11.34 is still damn quick for someone who isn't a sprinter and pretty decent for an amateur sprinter). The 10m splits in a 100m are totally different, depending on the part of a race, Bolt did 10m-20m in 0.99sec and 60m-70m in 0.81sec, huge difference. Furthermore, certain sprinters, like Powell and Brommel, specialize in acceleration while guys like Bolt and De Grasse specialize in speed maintenance and max velocity. This test focuses purely on acceleration thus gives Ronaldo an advantage.
@@KX5Kat there is no “specialize” those guys just have better acceleration but bolt has a very high top end speed and he can hold it for long . I think that 1.2s is very generous
Football is the hardest sport to become the greatest in. The amount of athleticism you need (speed, agility, acceleration, stamina, vertical jump), technical ability (dribbling, ball control, shooting technique, passing technique) and IQ (vision, understanding of the game).
The athlete learns to do specific tasks by practicing those tasks over and over. The sprinter lacks the soccer player's skills and vice versa because they haven't trained the same way or performed the same sport. Do any of you get that?
Chaos No, not even close. In a track 100m race an American football player in the speedier positions would crush any soccer player. Most of those guys train as pure power athletes, and come from a track background. Good NFL guys had 10.xx type times to their name. Now, that is not to say soccer players are inferior athletes; they just don't have the same training emphasis. Soccer is a balance if agility, speed, and endurance; football is nothing but pure power and speed. Have that NFL runningback play 45 min of soccer and do the same race again...and NFL player gets creamed.
***** Some of what you say is true, but the idea that Chris Johnson's speed is comparable to Bolt is like saying a hare can hang with a cheetah. It's not close Bolt runs 100m (notably longer than 100 yards). He has covered that in 9.58 seconds, which would be 40m in 3.83! Now convert that for yards and you get....3.50!! To make it even more lopsided, the combine uses hand timing, whereas electronic timing is used in sprint races. The typical conversion from a hand time to FAT is .2, so Bolts combine 40 yard would be 3.3 seconds. Now, you might be tempted to say well the first part of the sprint is the slowest because of acceleration, but if you look up Bolts actual splits he covered the first 40m in 4.3 seconds, which converted to yards and -.2 for FAT gives a 40 yard combine time of 3.74.
That was really interesting. They shoud add a 100m zig-zag at the Olympics. Would be fun to watch.

+Scaltazs yeah and who won the strait line sprint...
Eddie Miles and who scored the world cup goals and goals agains the best teams in football history with and against the best players and goalkeepers in the world ?
These programs are so annoying. Just show a head to head and cut the crap.
How the cubes coming bro?
hello sis
yes.. it's a marketing video first and foremost..
From Tifo 👀?
Good vid. Everybody thinks Ronaldo is so fast, but now its shown clearly that even a moderate sprinter outruns him
Ronaldo is wearing studded shoes for massive extra traction lolol!!!
keithmckeith a
He is wearing cleats which are used to quickly stop and change direction in the grass (or turf). It also allows for you to "grip" the ground for more traction. In other words give them both cleats if you are running on turf.
.3 seconds isn't a narrow margin over that distance
gameguru1234 it was 0.3 seconds lol
..... Read the comment again
FUZION CONEX i meant 0.03
CAMO It wasn't though.....
Ronaldo is a beast, everything's good.... But can we take out a second to appreciate the analysis.... Because it's just awesome and to the point.
Here after Tifo's video
do this with usian bolt
And messi
yeah
or Gareth bale and mofarah lol
ballpythonlover10
Or Robben he got a top speed of 37km/h.
Usain Bolt would probably lose in both. He has a low rate of acceleration.
first test was about just running, surely both of them have tried that before, but for the second test, seems like the sprinter did not have experience with before, so he did not know the better way to run through it. still ronaldo is fast but i think the sprinter could have won if he trained for the second test too
I think he would have won if he had spikes like Ronaldo. This makes a huge difference. I want to see a rematch!
Ronaldo doesn't train 100m sprints. They are useless for football.
Bernd Bananenbieger I was talking about the zig zag race. I'm sure the sprinter would have won if he had spikes instead of flat shoes. Ronaldo had much better grip with his soccer shoes.
purpleblueunicorn
I didnt respond to your comment.
Bernd Bananenbieger fair enough
The point is contributing to research on how body evolves itself for different sports. Both are humble to be part of the research
@@pcs54 Lol that comment of yours tell us you don't know shit about athletics
@@pcs54 he jogged at the end? he's being tested over 25 lousy metres and he jogged at the end? are you fuckin serious....
the fastest football players probably can do a low 11s 100 metres.
In that case CR has a huge advantage over the sprinter!
who's here after tifo football's video 😅
Make this vid blow up again. SIIIIIIIIIIUUUUU
People mention cleats or w/e I guess these "tests" were made with the profession of the relative performers involved. The only thing you need worry about is the difference in time between the 2 seperate tests, which show that a footballer is better at the weaving course and a sprinter is better at straight line speeds.
Cristiano had cleats on and the sprinter had running shoes on....it was not a fair race XD
Lol obviously
Yeah. Running shoes are way heavier and bigger because they are meant for practice.
Rodríguez is the Record Holder of Spain :) is 10.14 seconds, usualy the good sprinters reaxh the Top Speed from 50m to 60m, the rest is endurance :)
Hortelano now has it
0.3 difference in 25m...
Ok, we all know that Cristiano can't rub sub-11sg the 100m for shit.
PD: To anyone saying the sprinter sucks. He is the Spanish National record holder in 100m: 10.14sg pretty good if you ask me ¿or can anyone here beat his mark?
You think he do how much on 100 ? Like 10.80s no ?
Marco Gotze
no, 11,20sg and being generous.
Pablo Cid lol no less i think. I have a friend who ran a 100m in 11.50 2years earlier and he is not that fast. Just powerful and tall, another friend who do sprint in a club and ran a 100m in 11.05
Marco Gotze
look, I'm a track athlete, and Cristiano can`t sprint for shit, he has high stride frequency, but ZERO displacement, and what about his form... absolutely HORRIBLE. With that 25m time (where he pretty much gained his top end speed while the sprinter was still accelerating) he can't run sub-11.
Pablo Cid The video was about 3 years ago, now look at his technique, and his evolution. I'm sure he can go sub 11
Everyone says 'Put him against an NFL runnigback'. No. Put him against an actual sprinter. Someone running actual oly numbers sub 10.1. Then do the test. NO COMPARISON.
You gotta be really fast to run a sub 11, what you're saying is just pure disrespect
It was actually pretty even. Rodriguez was about 10% faster on the sprint and Ronaldo was about 10% faster on the zig zag course.
Its football
Absolutely loved the insight of running!
Ronaldo is a perfectionist, I am surprised he did not work on his technique in the straight before this test
He’s a perfectionist when he’s getting paid 10s of millions, not this sh!t
The sprinter hasn't even come out of drive phase yet this test is crap XD
Mythrintia that's what I was thinking
I think the sprinter used his spikes ane beat ronaldo in the zigzag but made him do it again in trainers and showed us that one
Great video.
Put him against Bolt and I might consider this legit!
Not fair man. Bolt isn't even human!
khosrow i dont believe ronaldo is natural
No some one shorter bolt would lose because he is so tall that he will have a slower start off
Deshon Harris still bolt able to run 25m in 3.2
footballers hardly have to do anything but look fit and even wayne rooney isn't capable of that, but most admit was impressed with a footballer not injuring himself is something difficult to see these days.
Ummm...90 minutes of running takes more than looking fit. Even baseball professional athletes are more fit than average people, much less soccer players.
1:06 for the first sprint (rodriguez)
2:10 for the first sprint (ronaldo)
3:49 for the second sprint (sprinter)
4:42 for the second spint (ronaldo)
Nice vid!
Ronaldo is a living legend. A monster. A hero.
Usian Bolt vs Cristiano Ronaldo.
no bale vs asian bolt in zig zag
+Scaltazs I think Bolt can beat both of them.
true
but usain bolt and ronaldo with the same shoes;)
+Cemal7791 if there no chance in earth maybe he can in mars or saturn hahhahah lol 😂
PhD Smith should control the slalom test by having the runners wear comparable shoes. Cleats improves traction especially for change of direction.
Very interesting. Credit to Ronaldo for allowing himself to be analyzed like this. I'd like to see him do the zigzag against teammate Gareth Bale!
i understand that they both beat each other at their own strength but imagine if one of them beat the other at the others strength that woulda been kind of sad lmao
😂😂😂
I love how the sprinter is in sneakers...and ronaldo is in cleats
I don't understand why people compare the sports to the level of one is harder/better then the other. Each sport has mechanics, training, and thinking involved in it regardless of what it is.
Ronaldo's fastest speed recorded was 33.98 km/h about 21 MPH that was Ronaldo VS Spain
running shoes vs soccer shoe's..... right....... great research!
videomike219 Sprint spikes wouldn’t be good on turf. I say the fact Ronaldo has on cleats was an advantage here.
Football
.3 seconds is hardly a narrow loss over 25. The sprinter was always going to win that race. It'd be a different story after 80 minutes of aerobic activity though Ronaldo would cream him.
So, each athlete would perform better in his chosen sport...?
0.3 narrow? watch the olympic 100m final and check out how much 0.3s diffrence is.
And this is on such a small distance. Ronaldo wont even run below 11.5s lol!
this sprinter is not even that good to. ( Anymore ).
I didn't say it was narrow. In fact i said the exact opposite. Re read my post mate.
youbetzler Bro i like the edit post button to ;)
I didn't edit anything. You just read it wrong
Overall time
25m: CR - 3,61 vs sprinter - 3,31
25m zigzag: CR - 6,35 vs sprinter - 6,86
so when ronaldo loses by .3 seconds in a 3-4 second race it's considered 'narrow,' but when he wins by .5 seconds in a 6-7 second race it's 'quite a margin'
someone make sense of this for me?
I was thinking the same 😂
Fanboyism
At 5:35 ronaldo's like
"What the hell these guys talking about"
So what did we learn today? Athletes who are trained to run in a straight line are better at running straight lines, as opposed to an athlete who is trained in agility to shift directions... who is better at shifting directions. Save your time, move on to another video
No I wanna watch
Cr7 is not agile
@@estifman3122 your a moron , cr7 is agile with the ball dumbasss😂
@@estifman3122 huh??
love that 4k resolution
He didn't narrowly loose shit, he was annihilated. .3 of a second over 25m is MASSIVE. That would probably be about 2.5+ at 100m, The sprinter wouldn't be at top speed over 25m but i bet CR was.
The zig zag he was wearing running trainers again CR's football shoes? why did that change? Spikes take 7 seconds off of my 400m time and i'm shit at running.
Why do people keep on claiming he's even a match for top level sprinters? He isn't.
***** who cares? his job is to score goals and he does that best
+Oliver Douglas what?
Not that fast either of them. Did the calculations and top NFL athletes, who test with 40 yard dash, at their speed would clock at 2.9 at this distance tested in this video. By the way, the NFL athletes don't use blocks to start.
Cool. That's pretty neat. Any other nuggets of information you'd like to share?
Jake Goulin yeah. Your mom is fat.
***** Cool. Any more?
Jake Goulin yep. Your weiner is unusually small.
***** Ah yes, fantastic. How odd you'd know that huh? Anything else you'd like to contribute?
gareth bale tested to the limites
5:34 Ronaldo's facial expression is like why the fuck am I hanging with these nerds...xDD
Bellerin would win this
He beat Walcott in a 49 yard sorint
+Ryan Kenny *sprint
This isn't fifa
+Kakashi Hatake which is why Bellerin would win
Bellerin is faster than Usain bolt over 40m so he probably would beat Ronaldo. 4.42 Bellerin 4.64 Bolt. Just saying.
Why not put him up Bolt? Stop the games...huh?
Usain Bolt costs too much for these people. His fee is 200k+ just for an appearance at a race
***** really? Damn, well that's when I stop typing. Good for him he's making money
Jasari149 they arent handtimed lol
I hand time your mom on the reg.
Jasari149 that might be true but only up to 40 yards afterwards the sprinters would be at full speed. It would be close but the sprinter would win
Jeff demps Olympic sprinter and nfl player... I bet Chris Johnson could compare to Olympic sprinters also.
Byron Jones had a 12'3" broad jump, beating the world record, he is also in the nfl
Cristiano would be an incredible running back or return specialist , with more size of course. Those jump cuts are insane.
To everyone that keeps saying this is unfair:
Its not unfair because they aren't looking only at who wins, they are looking at the way they move.
So... Do U think sprinters are not comfortable in spikes? Come on...
R3clip I'm saying that they must have been able to run in a shoe they felt most comfortable in. I doubt the sprinter regularly runs in futbol boots.
Its unfair you moron, because the one person is wearing football boots, and other is wearing, heavy normal shoes.
Sprinters use sprinting spikes, not normal shoes. He would have been fine in football shoes. Its a huge disadvantage to wear normal shoes. The test was not standardised.
Spain man was using trainers in the zig zag while ronaldo used his football boots which have better grip
Usain Bolt “Hold my beer”
Ronaldo was at that time one of the fastest (if not the fastest) football players ever reaching 40km/h
Yeah, get a short white guy to run in a soccer field without wearing spiked shoes...
Byron De Villiers Copying everyone`s comments? LOL Are u that stupid?
Why are u so butthurt?
+SuperAvocado you are the butthurt one
+SuperAvocado Yes you are definitely butthurt that he's calling you out for copying half the top comments, you know you did, hence the 'LOL are you that stupid?' comment.
SuperAvocado But you are saying the same thing as half the top comments so...... you got some likes though, that's all you wanted right? congratz well earned likes! Lol
Sprinters are typically shorter. Tall people have a disadvantage unless they know how to use their legs
i know that.I was a track and field athlete for 20 years and i know (based on my experience) that spikes (with the correct length) are faster than boots on grass (on a straigth line)
walcot vs cristiano ronaldo who is faster?
+XCountryTrackAthlete but in fifa pace for ronaldo is more.
I got better idea abomeyang vs ronaldo
+DopeDawgg GT more like "aubameyang" vs Walcott, or Bellerin.
Bale

i'm amazed - at the point that this video was suggested to me, a small part of my brain managed to convince me that i give a fuck - i need to re-evaluate my life
Ronaldo is fastest for the sport he does, Doesn't use blocks.they should have run them with blocks.
Also the quickest sprinters in the NRL did a 100m race, proper on track with spikes, the winning time was 11.1, and rugby league players are a lot more explosive and powerful than footballers.
well said
+Earl Jellicoe that wasn't the fastest NRL (Rugby League) players though, the fastest NRL players are guys like James Roberts and Marika Koroibete and they both run it at about mid 10"s Koroibete is about a 10.6-10.5 and I'd say Roberts is about a 10.4
I believe that's what he means as myths. Is there anything to confirm those times for those nrl players?
who dat they have probably done timed sprints, but a lot of it is recorded on what they have done in game, like how many k/ph they hit while sprinting, Koroibete even hit the equivalent of a 10.36 in a rainy game with a torn up ground
Luke Hall Oh I see. That's pretty damn fast lol.
0.3 seconds over that distance is massive, he's pretty slow.
***** 0.3 over 25 meters is equivalent to 1.2 seconds over 100 meters, if you know anything about sprinting you would know that is huge.
I think that 1.2s is very generous
in the 25m sprint test can u tell me aproximately the top speed Ronaldo reached? in km/h?
This is 25m. Bolt's split was 3.73 over his first 30m in the Olympics. He would have been more than 5 m ahead after 30m against Ronaldo.
Robben is faster than Ronaldo
Kaka is a footballer
***** kaka actually means poop. You're welcome. Ronaldo is a lot faster than him. Don't get me wrong, both are very good futbol players.
***** Greece?
Elite_gamer 100 he played for Brazil... now he has signed with some team , I think Orlando, in the United states.
Robben is not faster than Ronaldo
You can't compare two different sports
they're not comparing the sports. they're comparing the athletes.
V Mansi but they're not comparing their skills in their respective sport. they're comparing the skills in which they can relate.
V Mansi exactly, they're comparing the way they run.
That's the point of the experiment, comparing athletic qualities of two different sports
Football is the hardest sport to become the greatest in. The amount of athleticism you need (speed, agility, acceleration, stamina, vertical jump), technical ability (dribbling, ball control, shooting technique, passing technique) and IQ (vision, understanding of the game).
I win
Cristiano Ronaldo yes you do
The athlete learns to do specific tasks by practicing those tasks over and over. The sprinter lacks the soccer player's skills and vice versa because they haven't trained the same way or performed the same sport. Do any of you get that?
The boy was in tennis shoes I run a 5 second 40 in flats but I run a 4.5 in cleats or spikes🙄
3:11 he did not just say soccer did he?!
They have different types of shoes this is so dumb...
Joskim Engströ Makes it a flawed study.
Ronaldo is surely not the fastest sprinter (among the footballers), but he's surely one of the cutests :P
put him against an nfl running back
he'll still be faster
hahahah ya right dude he will get dusted I play football and track and there isnt a comparison xD
David Parpara Soccer players are faster than any football player. Don't be ridiculous.
It's not close
Bolt runs 100m (notably longer than 100 yards).
