@@billyshears5569 yes, of course some feminists are egalitarians and others are not. agizzy23 is talking about the true meaning or original idea behind feminism when it was conceived. for example, Pankhurst and the first feminists in England, the suffragettes fought for egality and the right for women to vote. they did not consider themselves to be superior to men at all. unfortunately later on feminism would start gaining a bad image because of extremists or radicals that took the original idea out of context and to a different place. this causes people to believe that feminism is to be avoided at all costs because it is extreme in nature when it is not.
@@luisferr2001 I agree but surely rather then trying to defend this old and now tainted ideology it would be better to create new reformed version under a different name that doesn't state a particular gender in prominence. The simply phrase "feminism" seems very flawed.

I get why they’re calling her radical feminist but personally I don’t consider her a feminist at all. In my book To be a feminist (Even a radical one) you’d have to believe in equality at some level. In my view she internalized her abuse and was unable to recover, and sadly it led to a psychosis that plagued her her whole life.

Real feminism is radical 2nd wave feminism which is about female liberation not this 3rd wave intersectional feminism that centers males and especially those biological males that dress up as women, pro trans, pro SW and pro islam. 3rd wave feminists are basically mens rights activists in disguise, but they just hide their hatred of women.

Antmagor- well stated! She was warped by her life. Yet she could deal with men when she wanted something from them , e.g. Warhol and the book publisher Maurice Girodias. Crazy like a fox. I think the abuse she suffered mitigated the crime to some extent, but her sentence was nevertheless too lenient.

The film was one of the most cathartic of the 90s. Solanas was just normal by 2023 XX standards. An evil C. Great film though.
I’m a 60’s kid and I never knew he was shot. 3 shots and survived. WTH did she shot him with a 22? Rarely does anybody survive a shooting.
