Oh man it would be a blast. I can’t imagine having someone right there to bounce ideas off of, ask questions to figure out a step, and of course die laughing with when I make a huge mistake. Get over here, Tina!!!😄👍
Your passion for sewing is so infectious! You help me laugh and love life... enjoy you Sharing fabrics and patterns....such a great person....glad to see you're feeling better...love your outfits!
Oh gosh, Debi, this is very sweet. Thank you!🌸💕 I have a lot more to show everyone next week. And now before me is the Great Black and Silver Fabric Challenge, lol. I’m getting bolder thanks to all the encouragement here. Wonderful!!😄
Catty wampus!!!! Lol!!!! You are so funny, and ever so sweet! LOVE your material and patterns you chose! Can't wait to see the finished product! The reversable material especially! Love that you found patterns for such a low price. Well, you have truly inspired me to having my machine get a tuneup. It is now at the shop. Thank you Vivmom! Cannot wait to sew again! Xx oo
Anyone who loves “catty wampus” is all right in my book!😄🌸 I’m so glad you loved the patterns and fabrics Jo Marie. Thank you!💕And now this is fantastic news to hear that your machine is getting all buffed up for some sewing. Yay! I hope it all goes very well and that you make many things that you absolutely love. Keep me posted!!👍
I love how you tell it like it is!! I want to take my sewing machine out and sew something!! Don't make your video shorter. Love the fabric you bought!!!
The pattern you said would be an Eileen Fischer would be perfect for your reversible fabric. Black pants & silver tunic. I can't get it out of my head now!~
Hi Rhonda! I love neutrals. I want more neutrals, as a matter of fact. You’re a dear for admiring my fabric choices. Thanks for always being a ray of sunlight.💕 See you next week!
The black & white abstract reversible fabric would be perfect for a kimono style coat over a black simple dress...love that fabric !!! Thank you for sharing your "finds"!
I get so much from your videos. You show fabrics that I wouldn't choose and then when I see the garment, I love them, so I guess I don't have an eye for the fabric and what I can do with it. I've sewn most of my earlier life, mine and my kids clothes, and am trying to get back into it. You're the #1 source of my inspiration. I love patterns, and am so glad to find that you can still get a lot of these tried and true patterns. I am finding many online, so you're a great help to me. Keep the videos coming. Love them, no matter how long. Lynn
Aw Lynn, thanks.💕It’s fantastic to have people like you along for this UA-cam endeavor I’ve launched.👍Like you, I sewed a lot in my earlier life but then I was absent from sewing for years. When I picked up a dress pattern 2 years ago, I just couldn’t get enough. It came at a perfect time for me, with children getting older and leaving home and the clash of emotions great change brings. Sewing was there as a life net almost. And the world of sewing had changed a lot!! But the fundamentals remain and to me that’s the beauty of it. You DO have an eye for the fabric if you’ve sewn clothes all your life.😄👍I’m glad you’re here. All of us can learn from and be inspired by one another.
Thanks so much for your response. Glad to hear I'm not alone in this journey. I really needed that. Speaking of loving patterns, I used to acquire those huge pattern books from the stores, when their new ones came out, and just pour over them at home, picking out which ones I might get. I read every detail. Thanks again, for letting us get to know you and how you work.
Oh the counter pattern books!! I have such a special place in my memory for those. Every so often my mom would bring one home for me. I was probably around 10 years old, so we’re talking 1973, and I loved those illustrations so much I couldn’t see straight. All the fashion - dresses, floppy hats, bell bottoms, sizzler outfits (remember those?!), maxi dresses, platform shoes - I flipped! I have looked at counter books on eBay but they’re expensive. I poured over them too. Do you still ever get the books? Thanks so much for sharing this with me!😄💕
Bonjour Viviane, so fun so fun and I am happy 20mn today !, yes, about your pretty fabrics and pattern, yes for me it's a nice idea for your wedding party, it will be a very design dress with this combo !! thank you for your smile and ideas, don't change, !! bizz, Sylvie
Hi Sylvie👋! Happy to find you here with your signature sunny comments!😄 Thank you for thinking the black and white would be perfect for the wedding party. If I can nail the dress, I will be one happy camper.🌸👍 Wish me luck!
Oh this is “SEW” fun! I love love your special reversible fabric. Cant wait to see it made up. I have been pattern shopping and next fabric. Havent made a garment in decades - just home sewing. Im revved up to try. Your vids are so enjoyable and choices so fun. I get overwhelmed choosing fabric and this opens my eyes to possibilities. Love watching. Thank you!
Hi Margaret👋! Thanks so much for this wonderful message.💕I am so happy to hear that you’re prepping to make something beautiful. Stay revved! I totally get the overwhelmed feeling, too. My gosh - the choices are endless. Once I commit, though, I don’t second guess. It’s the only way!👍
I am so glad to have found your UA-cam channel! Since last Thursday I have been “binge watching “ your videos. Your taste in fabric and patterns are so similar to mine. I had just about given up garment sewing and just stuck to sewing quilts. With quilting there are zero fitting issues. However - every time I go fabric shopping, I sit at the catalog table and drool over the pattern books, then find myself purchasing a pattern with the hope of actually making it. Today is the day! I am going fabric shopping for a dress. Hoping to complete the dress before Easter. Keep up the great inspiration and enthusiasm!
Hi kathleen! I’m so happy to meet you and hear a bit of your sewing story. Fitting a pattern can feel like an uphill climb. Things clicked for me when I tossed out the size guides and just concentrated on the finished garment measurements. I match my full bust. This usually puts me in a 14/16 and I have had great success. (I don’t even do FBAs!) I hope you’ll have some positive experiences as you get back into it. There’s no rush. And choose some more forgiving styles to give yourself a break until you’re feeling more sure about fitting. It’s a ride with bumps along the way but oh! the fun of wearing something you’ve sewn is great. So glad you’re here!😄💕
You have so many lovely patterns and fabrics to choose from. It will be hard to decide which to do first. That black reversible fabric is absolutely gorgeous can't wait to see what the finished product looks like. Have a great week.
Hi Trisha👋! Thank you for writing. I’m so happy you enjoyed seeing the goods! 👍There are 3 orders en route from Fabric Mart.😄 Happy days are here again! I can’t wait to show everyone.
I really enjoy listening to you describe patterns and fabric. I haven't sewn for myself in quite a few years but you are giving me inspiration to get back into it. I also enjoy when you model what you wear. You have such an enthusiastic energy that is infectious. Please keep doing these videos.
Well this is awfully sweet, Eloise, thank you!!💕 If you want to start up sewing again, that would be fantastic, but no pressure! I do feel inordinately goofy in so many of my videos but by golly, I keep posting them. People have been so nice! Thank you again.😄
Hi Connie!👋 Thanks for enjoying the video, I love that my fellow sewing friends here are excited by the same things (fabric, patterns) that excite me!😄And how sweet of you to give me encouragement. Thumbs up to YOU!!
Aw, I’m so glad you love the silver/black special fabric, Christine. I bought it so late one night I thought I dreamed it. Then it arrived and was even prettier than I remembered. So I’ve got to get the project right.👍 Thanks for your enthusiasm!💕💐
Hi Marian👋! I love the gray w/ flowers stretchy cotton jersey too. Maybe a dress? I think I bought 3 yards. The black & silver fabric thrills me! I HAVE to get the project right. No pressure or anything, lol! Thanks for writing!😄🌸
Omg I just left you a comment about that cotton jersey on your video, Natieda.😄 Thanks for stopping by. Yeah - that black and silver is rocking my world right now.👍
Oh My Gosh Viv, that moonlight madness shopping spree fabric...to die for! I've gotta say, your taste in fabric and patterns, they are right up my alley. Great minds do think alike...I bought the same flannel for a shirt for my husband. I have never tried New look patterns, but I loved the ones you showed...See you in my living room next week LOL, and have a great weekend. Deb
Hi Deb👋, no way!! A red flannel shirt for your husband?! Perfect! I’m so happy we have similar tastes...would love to hear about some of your favorite patterns if you care to share. Yes, that silver and black fabric is my everything. But there’s also some purple stretch taffeta making me swoon. I’ll show ya next week when I come over!😄👍(And thank you for your always-great comments.)
Hi Vivmom. Well look whose back in her sewing groove! She must be feeling better.Love. Love all the fabrics. DON'T you dare make the videos shorter. They are to much fun, and we all are inspired to sew more. Keep up the good work. Have a great weekend. Anna-Marie
Hello Anna-Marie👋, always a pleasure.💕 I am feeling much better! Thank you for loving all the fabrics, and for saying the nicest things to me. I’ll be back soon with MORE fabric!😃
Love the trim on your tunic. Very becoming. Love the pants too. I wish the tunic were a little shorter. But I am not sure how much. Love the reversible "GLORIOUS ' fabric. NICE.
Hi Viv, I really think you have a wonderful husband....because he supports your love of having it all. As a funny memory growing up with a dad who had my mom on a stringent budget, I remember my dear mom hiding her purchases under the evergreens until Dad went to work. ha ha
Oh that’s funny! (In hindsight, of course!) I do have a wonderful husband, and after hearing from many, many women who don’t exactly have a supporting partner, I feel sad for them. It’s a blessing to have a family who has all pitched in to help make my channel work. And now Brad loves looking at whatever fabric I order!!😵👍
Hi Vivmom, Just found your channel, love it! HELP, I am not good at pairing fabric and a pattern. I sew a lot, just not clothes, I would if I knew what I was doing. I always pick the wrong fabric. Thank you for sharing it’s appreciated. 💖💗💕💜👍☺️Take care and God Bless, Chris-Raleigh NC
My favorite fabric is the beautiful reversible black and silver fabric, I love the idea of your pattern choice for this gorgeous fabric. I will love to see what you sew with it. Greetings from Puerto Rico!
Thank you, Valerina! Greetings right back to you from Virginia! I am so happy you like the Vogue dress idea. I seemed to lose all love for it and decided to skip it. But now I think I will revisit it!😄
Gorgeous fabric and great patterns. The reversible black/silver looks so luxurious 😍-a late night scrolling jewel and I can't wait to see what you make with it! Costume changes for the party- one dress for cocktails/dinner and a change for dancing? Looking forward to part 2 😊
Hi Laura! Are you a fellow late night scroller, perchance?😄 Thank you for liking the satiny fabric. I think the party is too casual for a costume change but bless you for thinking of it.💕I will see you next week, thanks for being here!
Many thanks, Karrie.💕I can tell you that the outfit I’m wearing is suuuuper comfortable - the pants have an elastic waist and the tunic covers a multitude of sins. Glad you enjoyed the video, I’ll be back next week!🌸
Great video once again. Love that fabulous 'late night purchase' fabric and the pattern V8963 to go with it. Can't wait to see it!Especially love the idea of reversing the fabric.
Thanks Elaine! Do you think I can pull it off? I’m running into brick walls today trying to figure out a lapel on a New Look jacket. It’s so wonderful to have the support of so many caring sewers here. Yay!😄💕
Love the fabrics and the patterns. I can't wait to see the match up with fabrics and pattern. I think you have a real talent for that and i'm looking forward to seeing you and your hubby model your makes. When I get burnt out sewing I watch one of your videos and it inspires me.
Thanks billie! You’re so sweet to compliment my sense of pattern and fabric matching, because it is truly one of my favorite aspects of sewing.👍 I’ve got to get busy on the red flannel shirt for my husband...well that, and a hundred other things! Stay tuned!😄🌸
I am so glad I found your chammel, you are such a great lady. We have quite similar tastes in close but I live in the country and am alone, so no purpose for stylish clothes. We are about the same age and you did a great job with the outfit you are wearing.
Hi Sharon👋! Glad you’re here.💕I wonder if I’ll ever wear all my party dresses - I’m afraid there aren’t that many parties in my life!! But I do love sewing dresses. I find that I wear the joggers I made, and all the tops. I need to sew more practical pieces, I don’t go anywhere fancy. Thanks for writing, I hope you find some ideas and inspiration here!😄
I love tunics for winter, over slacks, with a warm sweater under. But I usually wear jeans. I am watching the video where you got the old patterns. I also collect old patterns, all the way back to the 40s. I made a dress from one 40s pattern and I love that style. Dresses my mother wore.
Vivmom, I've been going thru your videos and you are inspiring me to get back to sewing clothes! I have been making lots of other stuff, bags, quilts. Anyway, I know I am late to the party but that black, white and gray would be beautiful in a reversible dress! Thanks so much!!
Thank you for your inspiring and fun videos! I have to clean up and organize my messy sewing room, but I’ve been shopping for patterns, and I need to go through my stash of fabrics to see if I can use any of that. So that is my goal or tomorrow. I’ve been truly inspired by all of your adorable clothes that you have made up. I haven’t really sewed for myself, so I’m excited to give it a try. I do really enjoy your videos.
Well, HapiMrs, if you have a sewing room you’re all set! I wish you all the best with getting things organized. I need to do some of that myself. You’re so sweet to let me know that you’ve felt a bit inspired by these videos. So nice to hear, thanks!😄💕
Salvation Army sometimes carries a bunch of older shells. Gave my sister lured satin, netting and red lace for a shell. That I’m sure is right. And fancy for. Special occasions.
Another thoroughly enjoyable video! As for the precious fabric..it would have to wait just a bit until I was confident in flat felled french seams!! Each piece made would be reversible. Love that idea! 🤩
That is a smashing idea, LB, and I have never sewn a flat felled seam.😄 I could figure it out, though. But I’m not certain I want a reversible garment. Hmmm🤔 I definitely want to use both sides of the fabric. Thank you for giving me more creative ideas!😃🌸
Wow Viv, just started following you recently. Thank you for sharing your time and passion for garment sewing. You are sure giving me the bug to do this again, especially since you do all this research. I love tunics so much. At this age it’s all about comfort and fine fabrics.
Hello Norma👋! Welcome! Please forgive my late reply, I am missing notifications and it is most irksome. Happy to hear you’ve got the bug to do a little sewing. And yes yes yes to comfort! Whoever created the very first tunic needs a medal in the hall of fame.😄
Love your Fall Stash! Great fabrics and i look forward to seeing what you make with all of them! I particularly love the border prints! That reversible black and white one is impressive! I am definitely going to use that Vogue 8968 pattern! So pretty! Enjoy sewing! Thanks for sharing with us!
Hi Beverly👋! Thank you for writing! I’m glad you like that Vogue dress pattern, it looks like a winner. I may lengthen mine a tad. Also glad you enjoyed the fabrics! There will be more!😄
Awesome fabrics! Everyone’s going to go wild over that ‘precious fabric’! You have me wanting a slim fit silver or black shell and pant (😄shoot-both colors!) with a reversible (French-seamed) draped front duster from fabric like that! Keep rockin’ girl! Whatever you wear will be gorgeous!
Ooooh, NK, you’ve got some great visions here. Thank you! I need to get on board with French seams. Slim fit silver & black pants would be SO cool. I hope I don’t screw this up. I have some gorgeous stretch taffeta to show you next week. Along with many more patterns and lots more fabric. Wheeee! Thanks for your great and generous compliments, always.💐💕
Hi, you have to make that dress out of the beautiful fabric! You have some really nice fabric along with some cute patterns. My WalMart in CA doesn't have those Sew Simple patterns or I would be buying them. I will have to keep checking. Thanks so much for sharing. You seem like such a warm hearted and funny person. Looking forward to part 2.
Hi Diane!😄 Thanks for coming by and leaving your typically wonderful comment. I had not seen these .97 patterns at Walmart, so I’m not sure when they got them. There were just a few. I scored some amazing apparel fabric at Walmart which I’ll show in Fabric haul part II. See you then I hope!🌸👍
Make yourself a "little" shift-styled slip to wear with those sort-of-thin fabrics. Love this! You're sew inspiring! Hugs! Peggy ...just lengthen that cami "a bit" and you'll have a great slip/lining.
I know what you mean about late night scrolling, how many of us have vowed to hide the cards before bedtime. I recently ordered 2 patterns from the USA to be sent to me here in the U.K. just as I’m about to move over to New Zealand. Then woke the next morning to shock horror what had I’d done. Total cost 63$ about £45 never would I pay that for 2 patterns, but I did! Viv you are coming with me couldn’t bare to miss one of your vids they are so entertaining, keep them coming.
Oh Kate, that is a terrible price to pay but you know what? Don’t give it a thought! You deserve the happiness! I’m mad at whoever decided to make shipping overseas cost an arm and a leg. Sheesh. It’s infuriating! I know those patterns will be treated like gold and I hope they pay you back by sewing up beautifully. Keep me posted! And thank you for your dear last sentence.💕🌸
Hi I was watching your tutorial and you showed a coat pattern and you said you thought you couldn’t line it you are a fabulous seamstress and you make some fantastic stuff so i think you could.
Well heck, thanks for the vote of confidence Sheila! You’re so kind to come along and pass on this information.😃I probably could tackle a lining. I don’t know why there are certain areas of sewing that I run from - linings and invisible zips are two of them. I’ve worked with linings before and have sewn them in backwards! That might have something to do with it, lol.
Best dress ever fit 8683! Made it for 4th of July with fabric from hLobby as well as out of a knit for my son’s 4’10” gf ( I am 6’ sooo a very different adjustment ) but both adorable!!
Hi Viv! Oh my gosh I so enjoyed those patterns and I'm really looking forward to seeing which you make first! The New Look pattern you mentioned towards the end of your vlog (popular on Sewing Pattern Review) I have and is one of my favourite jersey dresses. I'm not sure why it hasn't received 5 stars yet but I am going to make myself another one soon. I did the view with the scoop neck. Love the pockets, the shape and everything about it. I'm going to grab it now, I know just the fabric! 😁
Thanks for sharing the fabric I love it some of the patterns are kind of cool too I’m a little on my plump side, and some of those pattern would not work for me, also I’m kind of short ! ❤️❤️
Hi SuperBetty Boop👋! There’s a million patterns out there - don’t let my selections stop you!👍 So glad you enjoyed the fabrics. Now to wash and store it all...oh wait, that’s another delivery at the door. (Send help!)😂
I don’t like the thin knits either. I feel like I should layer them but I don’t always want to. I love your videos Very inspirational. Your fabric was gorgeous!
Thanks, Robin. Hey, layering thin knits is something I hadn’t thought about, so thanks for that! I’m happy you enjoyed seeing the fabric - there’s more coming. Your comment was so nice, such a joy to find.😄👍
Thanks for another fun haul. A note on the Vogue 8968, it's a lot shorter than the illustration shows. I made just the top part without the bottom flounce because I wanted a tunic and it ended up being a top. So check the measurements on that one Viv, I'm 5'6" and the dress would have been a couple of inches above my knee. Glad to hear someone else says cattiwompus. I used that work once in small group of women and 2 of them were befuddled. Had never heard it.
Hi Susan👋! My dad used “cattiwompus” all the time and it just makes me smile.💕Thank you for the heads up on the Vogue dress length. I wondered about that. Sometimes the envelope drawings (though I have had a love affair with those illustrations since I was a kid) aren’t quite on scale. How do you like your finished garment? And props for using “befuddled,” too - another one of my pet words! Were you an English major?😄👍
The finished garment turned out great. A grey rayon challis with a white pattern running through. Ahhh, you make me laugh, I did not even finish college. Life got in the way and in high school my English teacher gave me a D just to get rid of me because I would write my essays with wild abandon and did not follow the grammar and punctuation rules! My mom was from the south and a flair for the dramatic with her letters and I picked up a lot from her.
I just love your videos. You know your style and stay with it that is great. That New Look 6575 is lovely and you could always wear a cami underneath if it shows a bit too much bust. Don't worry about the length of the videos they are great to watch while I cook or fiddle about in the kitchen :)
Aw, Quiltygal, thank you so much!💕 I think I can get the New Look top to work. The measurements seem about right. I always have to guard against looking top heavy and I know I don’t always succeed. Fiddle away in the kitchen, I’m happy to keep you company!😄
Your fabric is so wonderful, I can't wait to get my pattern 6602 I'm suppose to be getting it in the mail soon. I have the perfect fabric for it I will have to take a picture when get it done. You have inspired me to make so many more outfits for myself and start sewing again. I wasn't able to find ebay store you talked about. If you have the link could you please share it.
Hi pumpkinseed! I’m so excited about your 6602 project! And I am thrilled to hear that you’re feeling inspired. Go you!!👍 I looked up the rayon jersey I bought and will copy the link here, hope it works for you. www.ebay.com/itm/Multicolor-Rayon-Modal-Spandex-Lycra-Stretch-Fabric-By-The-Yard/323386347793?hash=item4b4b541111:m:mXQeiVk6F7ztbncj0ivqLbw:sc:USPSPriority!22312!US!-1 I really need to learn how to link things in the description box - sorry to be so clunky!!
I have made 6602 nl out of a waverly fabric-both versions of the dress not the pants. It runs Large! But I get many compliments on the dresses each and every time I wear them.
Wow! You have a lot of makes planned! Can't wait to see the shirts for the hubby! BTW, I think he could get away with the dots. I saw a guy wear dots at work with tweed suiting sneakers with his pants rolled up to sport his socks. Tall guy just like your guy. Relating to the clean lined patterns, I love clean lines as I can drag out the accessories on those pieces! In regards to your reversible fabric - LOVE! I want to make a reversible shell; I keep looking at Mood and the selection is not there. If I lined with another reversible fabric, depending on how well the material took the little French seams I'd have four looks! This would be great to wear on the plane if the luggage was lost. Or, if I was wearing it in the winter, I'd mostly wear it under a blazer or sweater so theoretically I could have up to oh gosh....I lost count of how many looks I could have if I used different prints for each front and back and each lining piece!
Hi Maureen, thanks for the input about men and polka dots. Your reversible outfit ideas are fabulous! I hope you can find some fabric to suit your artistic vision. Keep me posted!🌸
Another terrific video. I have the runway pattern. Made the top for granddaughter then proceeded to burn it dead! Just another fail for me.... lol. I love that but i do not understand the concept of foldover elastic. Will look that up!
Hi Diane! Shoot, sorry about the PR pattern.👎 I got my courage up to use foldover elastic as a trim after watching Anne Whalley demonstrate it here on UA-cam. Look her up, she’s fabulous.😄👍
Really adore your leggings, and make me a pair in a medium (lol) and the split top really looks great on you. You fabrics are lovely for the fall and winter seasons. Great price on Mood fabrics which I have never purchased before. great video
Hi Good Life, nice to see you!👋 I only buy sale stuff at Mood, and there are some deals. The Kwik Sew legging/skinny pants pattern is great - 2 pieces. Thanks for all your nice words, so sweet!💕😄
Observation here ! The last little top sort of a "Cammie" you could wear over a Bathing Suit .. Just thinking.. Love the black luxurious material 2 sided.. wow neat. thanks Vivmom
That is a perfect idea, Graceann. So perfect that I’m going to try to make one before we leave for a beach vacation in October. Thank you!! Keep those observations coming!👍😄
I found good patterns in the bottom drawer at Walmart, some that you showed in this video. Went back a few days later for one I debated on and they were all gone! The ones in the rack have gone way up in price. I've written to the company, but Walmart is all we have in our little town. Would soo love to have a fabric store here - I like to feel the fabric. I love your videos . They keep me inspired!
Hi Tina, I’ve heard they’re shaking up the fabric department @ Walmart. Mine had plummeted downhill and I no longer buy anything for sewing there. Too bad. But I discovered Wawak.com for zippers and threads - beautiful stuff sold at a fraction of Walmart’s prices. My fabric from Walmart has been hit & miss. They’re making the fabric department very small at the Walmart I frequent, and the pattern drawers have always been an unkempt disaster, rarely updated with new releases. It’s sad that it’s all slipping away, but thankfully we do have tremendous resources online. I hope to do a video soon highlighting where I shop for fabrics online. Thanks for writing! Let me know if you hear back from the behemoth that is Walmart.😓
Brain explosion is imminent, HLC. Oh yes. Because (a) what do I make with it and (b) how do I not go awry with it?? Sewing, fitting...help!! In the end, we sewers always prevail but some “journeys” are rockier than others, lol.😄
I will sound like a snob. I live in Italy and would love to bring you to fabric shopping. I am taking a sewing class in Italian and we do start from our base pattern (custom). I do not spend money on patterns anymore, I just look at the image and am able to achieve the same thing with fabulous fabrics! ciao
You’re no snob, Sylvie, you’re talented!! And I can imagine the Italian fabrics are luscious. Every so often I can find Italian fabrics here for a reasonable price and I buy them.👍 I should probably be sensible like you and stop buying patterns, but oh! they make me so happy!😄🌸
You would have like to be with me today: A Italian friend brought me to a tailor s place. This man is deceased and the grand son is selling everything. I have never seen so much nice British wools in one room. I have put some on the side and will go back Friday. I am not even talking about the antiques (the house was build 500 years ago and had a fresco on a wall)
I wish you lived closer, someone close to my own heart! Just think of all the fun we could have sewing!
Oh man it would be a blast. I can’t imagine having someone right there to bounce ideas off of, ask questions to figure out a step, and of course die laughing with when I make a huge mistake. Get over here, Tina!!!😄👍
Right on tina. I m in ohio. Love sewing!
Love your videos, outfit and ALL the material!🤗
You have inspired me to get out my sewing machine again . Thanks for your happy infectish attitude so welcoming now days. Keep sewing.
I absolutely love to hear that people are feeling inspired to sew! Yay! Thanks for telling me, Sheryl.😄 Your kind message is very encouraging.🌸💕
That mirror! I love that mirror in your hallway. (I have one of them too).
I absolutely love the outfit you were wearing today. It is both classic and edgy, great material, colour and print, perfect finishing. A+.
I love how you tell it like it is!! I want to take my sewing machine out and sew something!! Don't make your video shorter. Love the fabric you bought!!!
The pattern you said would be an Eileen Fischer would be perfect for your reversible fabric. Black pants & silver tunic. I can't get it out of my head now!~
Hey hey now - that’s a beaut of a suggestion. Thank you, Stay Stitching!😄👍
I so admire your exciting fabric choices. Makes me feel I need to break out of my neutrals! Thanks for inspiring me Viv.
Thanks so much for sharing this with me!😄💕
I really enjoyed this video-looking forward to part 2! Thank you for sharing.
Hi Charlene, thanks dear!😄💕
Sincerely your a gem! Thank for sharing your Chanel with us. Not to impress with the blue crepe de chin the rest is outstanding.
Good video. I enjoy seeing all of your fabrics and patterns. You sew very well, too. I'm so inspired after I watch your videos 💐😊
Hi Vivian, love your tunic and pants...great fabrics, style and fit!
Thank you!
Can't wait to see those wonderful fabrics sewn up. Thanks for the inspiration!!
It’s the only way!👍
You are so welcome, Patti. So glad you’re here!💐
I am so glad to have found your UA-cam channel!
So glad you’re here!😄💕
Can’t wait for your New Look fashion video!! You are great !
I love all your new fabrics and patterns. I really like how you can take a simple pattern and see the fabric you will use.💞💞💞
Hi Connie!👋 Thanks for enjoying the video, I love that my fellow sewing friends here are excited by the same things (fabric, patterns) that excite me!😄And how sweet of you to give me encouragement. Thumbs up to YOU!!
I have long sleeve, thin knit boyfriend sweaters. I enjoy mixing colors with different outfits. Great for the fall season.
Thanks, Tammi, I think this is a brilliant idea for thin knits. Consider it officially on my list for winter sewing.👍 Thanks!😄🌸
Wooow that is a great haul! That special fabric is AMAZING!!! Have a great weekend! TFS. Christine
Aw, I’m so glad you love the silver/black special fabric, Christine. I bought it so late one night I thought I dreamed it. Then it arrived and was even prettier than I remembered. So I’ve got to get the project right.👍 Thanks for your enthusiasm!💕💐
You have a lot of sewing to do. Have fun. All of the fabric is beautiful.
I am buried alive in sewing, Jeannette! It’s a happy place to be, though.😄 Thanks for stopping by.🌸
Love the black & silver fabric too! Cant wait to see what you choose. Aloc love the gray with the white & coral flowers. Your so fun!
Hi Marian👋! I love the gray w/ flowers stretchy cotton jersey too. Maybe a dress? I think I bought 3 yards. The black & silver fabric thrills me! I HAVE to get the project right. No pressure or anything, lol! Thanks for writing!😄🌸
Great haul! I absolutely LOVE the Mood Fabrics cotton jersey you picked up. That double sided black & silver is super pretty.
Omg I just left you a comment about that cotton jersey on your video, Natieda.😄 Thanks for stopping by. Yeah - that black and silver is rocking my world right now.👍
I will be sure to check out Mood!
I made that coat years ago in washable suede. I loved it.
All of your fabrics are gorgeous!!!!!
Aw, thank you Carla!😄💕Your enthusiasm is so nice.
I wonder if that beautiful black and silver fabric would work for the poncho and dress combo. It truly is gorgeous fabric. Thanks for sharing!
Love the trim on your tunic. Very becoming. Love the pants too. I wish the tunic were a little shorter. But I am not sure how much. Love the reversible "GLORIOUS ' fabric. NICE.
Really great fabrics & patterns you have there. So many ideas & lots of inspiration. Thanku for sharing. x
Thanks, anna. Would you believe there’s more
coming next week? Well hang onto your hat! I’ve got more! Hope to see you then.😄👍
That's fantastic, cannot wait. X
I love your outfit! And I love all the fabrics as well!
Thank you, Kristina! You’re a sweetheart to tell me!😄💕
Oh that floral cloth beautiful. Like Autumnal. Very pretty the Aqua. All lovely. Have a lovely weekend
Love the patterns by the way
Thank you, Miss Mary. And a lovely weekend to you too!💕😄
Hi Vivmom, Just found your channel, love it!
Me, too. I'm trying to improve and take more time choosing the fabric. It's not my strength ☹️
Great stuff viv I've wrote down the patterns I will be getting. thankyou so much.😀
Hi Viv, exciting patterns and gorgeous fabrics....oooooh the anticipation 😁😉😘
Thank you, Sally! I am so thrilled to find a community of wonderful people who are as excited about patterns and fabric as I am!!😄💕
Gorgeous fabrics and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that reversible fabric - definitely top of the list for the wedding!! Love all the new patterns xx
Aha! You’re in love like I am!😍 I’ve got to get it right, Kathie. Wish me luck!! Thanks!💕
I love the outfit you're wearing! So cute! And the new fabric and patterns are awesome. Can't wait to see the other parts...
Many thanks, Karrie.💕I can tell you that the outfit I’m wearing is suuuuper comfortable - the pants have an elastic waist and the tunic covers a multitude of sins. Glad you enjoyed the video, I’ll be back next week!🌸
Your video content is great, and it’s always a joy to watch, so the videos don’t seem long at all.
Aw, thanks Anita. So nice.💕 I had to break up the latest fabric and pattern hauls or we’d be here half the night.😄
It is so beautiful. You should definitely wear it to the wedding party.
Isn’t it crazy?! I’m so glad you get it, Estelle!😄👍 Thank you!💕
Great video once again.
Yay!😄💕
6573 pattern would look stunning in the black and silver fabric where you use both sides.
You look fantastic in the pink dress made from the 70s pattern. That gets my vote. From the party dress video.
I love it. Thanks, Carole!😄👍
Hi Deborah! You’re never late around here!😄We don’t put any pressure on ourselves.👍Thanks for your suggestion. And welcome!
I love your videos ...thanks for sharing them with us
Thank you, Mary, what a lovely thing to say. I am having a lot of fun with youtube. But I miss posts, and then I am late replying! Please forgive me!😄
aww thanks for caring
There will be more!😄
Vivmom, I really like you flower print fabric. I would definitely make an adorable long sleeve blouse for my fall collection 👠👜🍂🍁
I’m loving the emojis, Marlyo, and yes! A blouse for Fall. Some skinny navy pants to go with it??😄👍
Awesome fabrics!
I made the dress you mentioned 4stars. I love it. Easy sew. I sewed the round neck
I love everything you show it inspires me
You’re the bomb Viv love those striped pants w grey tunic
Thanks Carole!😃
Love what your wearing viv love from wales england
I love the word cattiwompus.
It’s a good one!😂
Make yourself a "little" shift-styled slip to wear with those sort-of-thin fabrics.
Love this! You're sew inspiring! Hugs! Peggy
...just lengthen that cami "a bit" and you'll have a great slip/lining.
I really look forward to you blogs. Great ideas and makes me braver even at a slight 5 foot height.
Hi Debra, thank you for writing. So good to hear that you’re feeling brave to sew - yes! We’re all learning here!😄👍 I’ll see you next week!🌸
Thank you for your descriptions of the fabric I am getting ready to sew soon 🎀
Fabulous news, Spitfire. Let me know if I can be of any help. So glad you stopped by today!😄👍
Love shells, Maureen!
I love the outfit you are wearing! I think the vogue dress with the reversible fabric would be beautiful!
Thanks Cherri! I really should have straightened my stripes.✔️😄
Holy smokes what pretty fabrics.. And NOOOOOOOOO dont make your videos shorter.. They're a hoot!!!!!!!😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Ah, Pamela, you make me smile. Thanks so much!!💕‼️
Love the outfit! I'm going to try something similar 👍🏼☺️
Wow! This black chic shiny reversible fablric .should be on a long dress or for 6585 coat .
Yes you can definitely pull if off or if the jacket isn't for yourself, ditch it and make the dress. It will be one amazing dress once made :)
Aw, you’re a dear Elaine.💕Thanks!
You look so adorable today. I love your videos, don't need to make them shorter.
This is so sweet, Cathie!💕 Thank you!!
The blue with dots would look good as the simplicity tunic 8094,I think. I just started watching your podcasts...Love them!
Thanks Melinnee! I still haven’t sewn up that blue with dots. I appreciate the suggestion!!😃
Beautiful pants.
Go you!!👍 I looked up the rayon jersey I bought and will copy the link here, hope it works for you. www.ebay.com/itm/Multicolor-Rayon-Modal-Spandex-Lycra-Stretch-Fabric-By-The-Yard/323386347793?hash=item4b4b541111:m:mXQeiVk6F7ztbncj0ivqLbw:sc:USPSPriority!22312!US!-1
I really need to learn how to link things in the description box - sorry to be so clunky!!
Make your videos longer girl! Your delightful! Love your outfit and great patterns too!
Aw thanks, Cindy! So sweet.😄💕
Like the drape of Amber coverup, but like the hat!
I have made 6602 nl out of a waverly fabric-both versions of the dress not the pants. It runs Large! But I get many compliments on the dresses each and every time I wear them.
Thanks for the scoop, Neva. I love that dress, such simple and classic lines. It reminds me of Eileen Fisher’s dresses.😃
I love your vlogs can’t wait for part 2 🤗
Well, you’re a peach Picketystich!😄 Thank you!🌸
Im going to be getting a pattren for country western wear
That black and silver fabric is fab... and a steal! How do you decide what gorgeous thing to make? My brain would explode
