They obviously just ignored it since it was in the original and every game since has the exact same stuff from Resident evil to monster hunter and no one has cared so they ignored it. Like those games you'd never know it had them unless someone told you there is zero advertising it and no mention in game. It's so inconsequential and Capcom has been doing it so long yongyea actually didn't realize he was told until he looked through his email and deleted the comment that he wasn't. What is odd is why this game and not the last 20 years of Capcom doing this did anyone notice.
I have seen many people state that the mtx have no real impact on the overall game. I think the major complaints I have are the lack of multiple save slots for the game which I know the first one was the same and the paying to recustomize your character and bot necessarily real world money but it's still annoying. I will end up picking it up at some point I just worry about if it will run smoothly on my PC as that seems to be an issue all around for many people. I wish ACG and YongYea mentioned it but when it's single player and they don't shove it in your face like the last Assassins Creed game I can understand them not finding it necessary to mention it but still something that their viewers should of been informed about. Have you played DD2 yourself?
@@GaminSessions Yeah the game is really fun, very difficult and part of the difficulty is making farming hard(camps get attacked if you try to cycle days too much, inns are expensive, fast travel is limited and so on) which is why I think people are looking at the stuff they are selling with so much scrutiny. I don't think it had any effect on the design the first one only had one save as well and even though it's super annoying it does fit what they were going for they want you to live with consequences. I've had camps destroyed, lantern's stolen by bandits, quests I got the lesser reward without even knowing it, wasted expensive items when the inn was just over the hill, even if you reload before a fight it lowers your maximum health each time so it's harder and you are better off fleeing. However under and past that all it's a really awesome game the feeling of victory when your pawn fist bumps you after beaten a Drake, the sense of exploration when you find that elf village hidden in the woods or the ninja like old lady on the roof, when your build just clicks and all the pieces come together it's great. Hope they fix some of the other stuff next time, hope they bring the next one over even with the pushback because they didn't with Dragon's Dogma online but for now I got another few hundred hours of playing on this to do I can tell.
It's definitely possible YongYea and ACG just didn't pay any attention to the mtx's and it's why they didn't mention it but it's also possible they couldn't say anything until it was launched. I think the bigger problem with DD2 is Denuvo and it's poor optimization for PC.
@Makoto03 it seems like every game that's released on PC by a Triple A developer is either poorly optimized and or unplayable. It's definitely sad to see especially with nothing being done to correct the issues.
understand the difference between a mmo and a single player rpg, dragons dogma will never be multiplayer, i wish people would just understand this and stop asking for it its never going to happen because the premise of the game is the pawns system. it would be dragons dogma online if it was a mmo.
I watch ACG almost on a weekly basis for his podcast and haved watched his reviews for years. I trust him alot more than Yongyea, personally. I think ACG just made a screwup and didn't mention it in his review. Even he admits it. Its not a big deal to me personally, since i know hes an honest guy and i'm not letting one review discredit everything i've seen of him. Though i admit I'm personally not even a fan of Dragons Dogma. I tried the Dark arisen version of original game and it wasn't for me. So i have no personally stakes on this controversy. I do know Capcom is awful with dlc in general for even the Monster Hunter and Resident Evil games. But i agree its no excuse to expect gamers to expect DD2 would have microtransactions. I can only relate it to another game, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. That game is currently my game of the year but it has awful dlc practices. Sega even hide 'New Game plus' behind a $15 paywall. But the base game itself is fantastic, so it didn't bother me. I just choose to not buy any of the dlc and enjoy the game as it was. I feel alot of casual gamers will do that with Dragons Dogma 2.
I've definitely been a fan of ACG for a minute myself as well and agree I think it was just a mistake. The game is single player you wouldn't expect to see that many mtx in a $70 game.
Do you think UA-camrs intentionally left out any mention of mtx in Dragon's Dogma 2? Also have you played the game if so why or why not?

Agreed. The poor performance on PC is a bigger issue than dlc, imo.
