- Not sure how it's already time to prep for yet another lambing group... but here we are.
It is time to pull CIDRs we inserted a couple weeks ago, and see how our ladies respond. So far, the ewe lambs are the first to seem interested.
Outside the sheep barn, our weather sort of turned into summer and gave us a beautiful window for spreading some fertilizer on our winter wheat, barley and canola... a gift after such a grey and dismal spring thus far...
Also... finally completed Jess's round of fertility treatments, and hopefully finished the dreaded commute to Toronto.

If the needles are the size I use for my insulin it's easier to stretch the skin instead of pinch bc it often goes in easier and doesn't pull the needle out if you let go of the pinched skin on accident

@@katherinekelly5380 I was first diagnosed when I was five, and then cancer-free once it was removed up until five years ago it took about a year for them to all get on the bandwagon and diagnosed me, they had misdiagnosed me. I'm currently in the process of writing a book but it came back 5 years ago so I had over 40 years cancer-free beautiful life! I was on Hospice and the only person I know of to come off hospice and LIVE, I maybe. had 18 days... I had seen a lot! But I am here to have a new lease on life and to experience anything and everything I want to do! And I am cancer-free 24 months and 15 days! Jess I got your back❤️💪🏻

I had blood clots 10 years ago, and then again 4 years ago. I've had to do belly shots twice because of them. I am SO impressed with Jess, because I couldn't do the shots myself. My Mom had to help me. I practiced on an orange for hours. Then, when it came time to do it myself, I panicked. Mama did it for me. So I've gotta say WAY TO GO, JESS! 🎉
No kidding I've had give myself shoots and was a big baby about it. Jess was impressive. 😉👍💙🇺🇸🕊
I thought the same. Recently went through fertility treatments myself and had to have my husband give me the shots. Jess is a champ!

Currently pregnant and I have to do the same because my pills crossed the placenta so I needed to switch to the lovanox injections. I swear it's worse every day and idk how I'm going to do this for the remaining 6 months😅

They didn’t offer egg retrieval in the late 80’s and insurance didn’t cover either. So happy for Jess that she has this option as it’s one less obstacle to dwell on during treatment. Ughhh, fertility treatments suck, I've had two cycles - the sheer amount of hormones is no joke and one or two injections a day are not fun :) Jess is a rockstar for being so responsible with her decision!!
EDIT: crap, 3 injections, Jess is braver than me, I'd cry with every one 😂
It was the trigger injections that got me crying, they hurt! My husband was almost crying with me, he would do it in my bum cheek and then apologize for the next hour.
@@cyn4476 ouch, my doctor advised me to do all of them under belly skin, so trigger one wasn't especially bad... But half of meds have me allergic reaction and it was not pleasant at all!
@@Lillireify I was watching Jess' video on her channel and talking to my husband about it. He said the injections he did were actually the progesterone shots. It's been about 20 years, they all blur together in my mind now!

I don't understand why ppl do that,why do they say we have a dr appointment, we have to do this,that and etc, it's the person who has cancer that has the dr and appointments and not other family members, yes if they go to support you but to make it about them is shocking, I just don't get why they do it.
@@janeevans4758 sometimes people say it with the best of intentions, we meaning you and me in this together to the end. They are not taking away from you but adding their strength love support. Except in someways they are taking away they are trying to help should the burden, pain,fear. I just can't see this as being bad, maybe misunderstood but not bad. Bad is not having anyone at all, having to do all alone, crying in the night and no one being there. That's bad.

I'm wondering if Sandi will shear the Golden Girls before it gets too hot. It's great that they have figured out what it's like to be retired. I also love that Sandi has a special place in her heart for them.
Jess love the new hair cut. You are a very strong young lady and you will come thru with bells ringing. Keep being strong, we all love you. Sandi is such a fantastic mom, supporter and if you both are emotional let it be that way, it's a healing mechanism. Prayer's and love to the whole family.
I had a t shirt I wore to Infusion lab (chemo) and it said “If I knew how much work it was going to be I never would have gotten cancer” it was my way of being my own little smarta**. Infusion labs are kept really cold so I always brought comfy slippers and a soft blanket. That first chemo takes a long time because they have to watch you for reactions. My hair fell out exactly 3 weeks later. AND exactly 3 weeks after the last round it started growing back. Almost everyone has the most soft and curly hair when it grows back. Baby hair. I hope any of this will help you navigate this road.
Zofran works wonders for nausea. Any kind of ginger and peppermint as well (tea, oil capsules, natural ginger ale). Wishing Jess, your fam, and lammies the best!! Sending love from your neighbor across the border in Buffalo, NY ❤🐑

Im an animal person. I met my first lamb when i was 7. Promtly after leaving the barn a grownup had to explain what is going to happen the lamb in a heartless way. Watching you with your lambs does my heart good. Your critters live a good life thank you for restoring faith in people.
