02:36 - That is exactly how I feel as a digital artist.
I draw constantly then I remember "Oh I need to take a break" or if I lose inspiration I remember to do things I like -
like watching anime or playing a game or listening to voice actors.
All the things that make me happy refuels my art ability.
Seeing other artists works is inspirational on a molecular and spiritual level and I sometimes forget.
Also if you aren't a gamer and wanna start I think you should get Baldur's Gate 3.
The game is beautiful and the story is chefs kiss perfect.

Really resonate with what you say during the first half of this video, about appreciating a moment just for yourself.
I got a telescope (2300mm equivalent - so big enough!) years back, because it's one thing to see pictures on a screen, or book, but entirely different to see it with your own eyes. I do astrophotography now, photographing the universe around us; there are perfect nights for photos that I just sit there and look with my own eyes.

Great video Taylor! I've been thinking about taking a bigger step back from the digital world and getting back into film, this was a great reminder to just sit and even though you might not have all the tools handy, you can enjoy the moment!

Love my RB. It's like an extension of my body at this point. Best medium format camera ever.
In 2017 during the eclipse, I had several cameras and video set up and got some great shots,... but I did not really experience it because I just didn't stop and relax and just soak it in. Circumstances didn't allow me to get to this year's eclipse so I'm a little bummed.
You are an excellent photographer!! Every time I click on your channel I’m always amazed by how you shoot.
Awesome you're using the RB. I just was shooting a roll two days ago, and at one point the mirror lever didn't go down all the way and return, so I couldn't take a photo. I was looking it over trying to figure out why. And then noticed a completely different problem. I had left the mirror lock knob set, so I had basically shot maybe 2.5-3.5 rolls over a few months that are likely all black. Don't remember exactly when I had used the cable release last. My heart is broken. Still love you RB.
I was visiting back home in the path of near totality and the only camera I brought with me was a half-frame Olympus PenF with a monster 38mm zuiko lens, lol. I kept it firmly pointed at the people on the ground who were doing cool long-lens eclipse photography!

I was in the path of totality (Texas) and was preparing to try and shoot it on film and digital. Watched a bunch of how to videos, started shopping for Solar Filters etc. In the end I decided not to, because a) I was probably going to f it up b) I would be so focused on getting the shots that I would not enjoy "the moment". The "moment" was awesome, fully experienced, in awe. There are many talented photographers that captured it beautifully and now I get to enjoy those images :)

I was on the path of totality, so I had to take pictures of the whole thing. I just wish I had a better tripod as the event was going so fast. We had 1 minute 24 seconds of totality and it was the most mind blowing thing I've ever seen. You could see the 360° sunrise, feel the temperatures get lower, the greens and reds began to look funky. And there it was, the best light show in the world, complete with the little hairs surrounding the sun. It was really worth it. I had a 300mm on an APS-C camera, so I could set the sun in the upper left corner and just click-away until it reached the lower right.
There are content creators and there are filmmakers. You ma’am are a filmmaker ❤️
Love my RB, had it for 3 years now and will never get rid of it! When you get yourself a 2nd back, I would recommend you go for the ProSD back. It's the one that looks more square and is better in every way. It doesn't use foam light seals and has a dedicated dark slide holder on the back, so you don't have to use the slot on the left side of the camera at 08:30, or as I do, keep forgetting it in your back pocket😁

I live in the path of totality and watched the eclipse from my backyard, though not for the full two hours. Totality was so beautiful. Didn't take any pictures (didn't want to).
I was in the path of totality, and it was cloudy…
Actually, it passed by our area in October and it was cloudy then.
Clouds actually broke for an instant just at the right time.
Just for a minute, literally. Twice.
Then and recently.
Anyhow, totality was really cool.
Total darkness.
But, I think what was most memorable, was seeing the excitement on the face of the people I was with.
I decided not to photograph the eclipse, but I did set my phone off to the side to catch everyone’s reaction once darkness started.
It was nothing technical/complex/sophisticated…
So, I was able to take in the event (without being focused/consumed with the act of photography) and the people.

Mechanical only cameras are the way to go by now. Congrats on your RB.
I've had my RB for 7 years now. And for 2 years prior to that she sat on my co-workers desk as decoration. And I just pined for her and plotted her prison break. And eventually busted her out of her entropy. She is absolutely worth it. Every time I think my RB is just a heavy pain in the neck (which she is) I revisit the sites she's shared and look through her eye, make new pictures with her and am reminded how lucky I am.
Wish my coworkers would have legendary-but-affordable medium format cameras sitting on their desks :(
I drove 2000 miles to see the eclipse. My longest lens was 50. I wish I took pictures of the surroundings more. because focusing on the pinhole that was the sun in a 50mm wasn't the wisest. but I am just human. Ill get it the next time hehe

I'm totally kidding😁 I actually just lucked into a GX680 and am kitting it out, and the only reason I am is because the style of camera started to appeal to me on the back of your Spain trip and some of Jason's Hasselblad videos and Kyle Mcdougal's video on said camera. That, and I have a problem. Thank you! Not for the problem, but the inspiration😊

But some gems definitely are worth the pain
