just listened to it - and wow, you weren't kidding - I love the way he plays because he is seriously unconcerned about any elisions or deletions - because for his playing and for him it doesn't matter - the melody and the original vibe is SO so carried through and shines out clearly - I love his compositions, and HIS love of them.
I would argue that if there are more wrong notes, you're getting close to Grainger's interpretation! This feels gracious, as if it were being played by a conservatoire level pianist or someone who's trying to follow the craft of their teacher. The heavier, the louder, the faster and the more eccentric, the more English! Despite being an Australian, he really set the tone for bringing English folk-music back on the scene.
I rlly love to play piano. I have been playing for a month now?? I am 10 And.... I only recognise notes, words and chords before 0:16 Maybe I should play it simplified.......
Grainger's own recording of this is far more boisterous: ua-cam.com/video/EO6zW6lkwPU/v-deo.html

This interpretation is perfectly violent. Boisterous does not have to mean hitting wrong notes.

'Bumpingly' haha
Yes. It’s funny how he uses English terms instead of Italian.
I wanted more Bumping-ness, MORE!!!!!
Not violent enough, in my opinion
well... I know what you mean - but part of me wants to disagree and say "Oh, come-on!!!" "Kill-joy"!
