Kualoa ON OUR MINDS

This video is about a special place called Kualoa and the relationships shared among friends. There are not too many days when the wind direction is offshore and the waves are consistent. When the conditions are right, Kualoa can be fun.
As a cancer survivor, I thank God everyday for waking up to live another day of life. I'm very grateful and thankful to grow up in Hawai`i where we are surrounded by water. The temperature of the water is just right and we're able to swim, dive, surf or fish. Thank you God for the ocean that provides, cleanses, soothes, relaxes, refreshes, restores and heals.
The beautiful view of the Ko`olau Mountain Range at Kualoa is totally awesome! I'm never tired of looking at this scenery from my surfboard out in the water.

I grew up in Kualoa. I remember paddling to, what is now Kualoa Park, when it only had cows from Kualoa Ranch. We used to paddle out to Mokoli'i to go swimming over in the small cove. I was too scared to walk out at low tide 'cause the hammerheads 😄. Too fun. I had tears in my eyes when you and everyone else were surfing at the point. I dunno how many hundreds of hours I spent there surfing, eating, talking story. Before I went into the Army in '72 I was there every day soaking in the sun and taking in as much as I could. I think in the back of my mind I knew those were "the good old days". Mahalo bruddah, you did my heart good today.
