MAUNA LOA, KILAU`EA & HILO

Aloha, greetings to all and welcome to my UA-cam channel called "Keep Living The Dream!" My name is Matt Higashida and I thank you very much for checking out this video called MAUNA LOA, KILAU`EA & HILO. The once in a lifetime images that you will see were taken by my college friend Roanne Nip who gave permission to use her images of the Mauna Loa volcanic eruption in November of 2022. This video also includes images of hiking in Kilau`ea and places to go and things to do in Hilo on Hawai`i Island which is the largest island in the Hawaiian Archipelago.
Cousin Galen, Joyce, Susette and I were truly blessed to see and experience the awesome beauty of Mauna Loa, Kilau`ea and Hilo. Hilo was a convenient home base for the trip since we were able to leisurely drive to Mauna Loa, Kilau`ea and special places in Hilo. While we were in Hilo, we met Roanne for dinner and on the following day, we enjoyed her Sunday performance of some classic songs on her guitar and ukulele at Pineapples.
As a cancer survivor, I've learned that we don't know how much time we have so make the moments count. It's good to recognize the opportunities and do them while we can. I'm very thankful everything went well on this once in a lifetime opportunity and being able to share those priceless times with those we love.
