For me Charice and KZ only, of all thousands of female-singers in the PHILIPPINES. Their words are clear whether the speech or tone going high or low. You can feel their songs. I mind singers who just belting and belting. For me, being a singer ain't just targeting high notes, but, give justification to each lyrics. Charice and Kz they can reach high notes, but their focus ain't that. And the voice is SOLID. Some Filipina singers belt even doesn't need or require. Always belting it's like someone's cutting the roof. That's why until now, only CHARICE AND KZ for me.
Singers that hits always high notes are more than black belters in the singing category. Singing the originals like complete duplicate copies and likened to a stoic performers that stood dead center onstage. High pitch songs are like shouting match that becomes a nuisance rather than music that soots hearts and souls. It destroys eardrums. An infamous song that lost it's luster are reinvented and masterly crafted into Android music. Only KZ had this singing style. Singer 2018 introduced KZ to global stage.

Not to be arrogant, but Philippines has A LOT of talented artists who unfortunately get slept on. They don't get the recognition or the paycheck that less talented western singers get. Grateful for YTube for giving them the time. This is why I'm so pumped for EZ because he is breaking the glass that's been in the way of Filipino artists making it in mainstream music.

I think after she won Philippine Idol and moved on to doing TV guestings .... I remember several episodes in YOUR FACE SOUNDS FAMILIAR wherein a guest performer would be given a specific famous international artist to copy their looks, personality and perform their song and get pitted against other guests. She was extraordinarily amazing then, even for a neophyte in showbiz!. I think that experience helped her discover a new side to herself, acting and characterization, which she applies now to all of her performances.
