The copy is actually from Vuillaume from France, not China sadly... although we copy a lot of things, not this time.
I just watched the video where they played the violin while hula hooping for the first time! It was a lingling 40 hrs post that got them started, Eddy was soooo ticklish! Amazing what they can do now with this toy.

i personally attended a s. suzuki workshop in s.f. years ago, when he brought kids from home to play his music book pieces.. and he emphasized how iimportant it was to learn the music so well, you can do another activity (like you do here) he had them turning, stepping, (stairs) bending, starting stopping groups without loosing a beat.. games to ply while performing.. so glad you two have added the fun in learning music (my grndaughter loves to watch your fun in performing) i'm teaching her to love music and love the violin... thanks guys, (note i hate the ''trick'' of PUTTING TAPE on the fingerboard - the sticky part is hard to get off, and the string will BUZZ WITH TOUCHING THE ''NEXT TAPE'' STRIP.. if you ahve to mark it with anythign, I USED ''WHITE OUT'' dots, applied by the teacher using a ''tuner'' and over time it just WEARS OFF, or it can be easily removed with fingernails... NEVER USE TAPE strips.. so tacky and so non-creative..
The trick is to take the hula hoop to your waist, and push it to start it moving. To keep it moving, you just keep your feet planted and move your hips left and right
Okay, but Hilary played the chords section like no other violinist I have ever seen. Some can do the chords with up-bows but she does the chords easily with DOWN-BOWS and UP-BOWS!! I have no talent.
There are a thousand recordings of people playing the Caprice in silence. I liked this one for the crowd, actually - it reminded me of how in Shakespeare's day the audience at the Globe Theatre were all standing on a dirt floor, eating and drinking and hollering at the actors. It's kind of cool to see, at least this once, the audience letting the performers know *right then* how awesome they think they are.
Or at 2:37, when Brett is solid, Eddy is solid, then Hilary comes in so strong that Brett just sort of, pauses... You just feel for him, y'know? And he's doing the pizz section next, at which he's *clearly* astounding, but still, after Hilary, he's gotta just take a moment...
