TRIGGER WARNING: MEDICAL TRAUMA🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 To all the wonderful nurses out there-you are SO beyond appreciated and loved!
My life has been so blessed by many nurses who help my world go round! XO🥹🤍✨
    NOTES:
The first nightmare happened about a year ago…..I was told by this company he was already gone and there was nothing for me to take action against.
Then a few ppl in my world told me he was “just doing his job” and that he just wanted to “make sure I was ok”. Which shamed me for feeling so distraught over the whole situation. I was told he probably had a family and I could be the reason they suffer if I decided to do anything with the situation.
I felt really crazy for all the tolls that took on me…..
I just wanted to feel safe and get the medical care I was in need of.
I hope this company really did get rid of him and measures to assure this never happens again is taken.
I wasn’t harmed physically, just a mental toll.
Always be careful and protect yourself in any and every situation. If your gut is telling you something doesn’t feel great, LISTEN TO IT! Don’t ever feel like you don’t want to offend anyone and take on a situation that doesn’t feel good (such as having a nurse that might be male). FaceTime/phone in a friend while getting an infusion so whoever is caring for you knows there is another human who knows what’s going on. Keep them on the line the entire time and just rest.
I’m so sorry if you know the feel of medical trauma in any capacity.🥺🤍
You are NOT alone and are always loved

Hi Maddie, I've been a paralegal for years and if they are telling you that you can't press charges, try a civil lawsuit. You can bring about a lawsuit against the company. I would highly suggest looking into a personal injury attorney for a consultation, which should be free. Make sure you keep all of the videos. Even if he's fired, the company was still negligent in hiring someone who would do this. Just my recommendation, that is super scary. I'm glad you are okay ❤

Employment law paralegal here: many more questions would need to be asked to understand if the company can be held liable. Did he have a criminal background that they were aware of? Has he done something like this before to a patient? Has the company received any complaints about him regarding suspicious or unsafe behavior? If a company had no reason to believe the employee could do something like this (at the time of hiring or during his employment), there may not be a liable case against the company. If they didn’t fire him, and this happened again to someone else, that person could possibly have a negligent retention claim against the company.
I 100% agree that a consultation with a personal injury attorney will shed more light on this issue for Maddie!! Even if she doesn’t want to pursue something legally now, she may want to in the future. It is important to know the statutes of limitations (expiration dates) for any claim which can be preserved!!

Hi I’m a lawyer, I would definitely consult a lawyer in your state about medical malpractice, negligence and a civil suit for trespassing. The company that provided these services is liable and should be held accountable. It doesn’t matter if the employees were fired. At the very least I would file a complaint with licensing board that issued their license.

it's like doctors think they know better about OUR own illnesses, pain and conditions or medication cause they read about them in books. but we LIVE IT. we experience the suffering. so don't gaslight me. you're the professional but im also a human being. if i tell you it hurts, STOP.

As a former home health nurse I have never thought to break in if someone didn’t answer the door or phone. Someone who needs home healthcare are not acute enough for someone to be super worried about. Otherwise they’d be in the hospital. If you thought someone wasn’t ok you need to call 911 anyway.

  • @JoshNeibert
    @JoshNeibert 10 місяців тому +9

Anyone who says this individual was just "doing his job" is fucking delusional. This is all alarming to me, but what's even worse is that he was so casual. As a person who vapes too much, I would never think about vaping while A: On the clock and B: if I think my patient is experiencing a medical emergency. I worked as a CNA in a short-term care facility briefly out of high school, and I had one lady who was as sweet as could be. We could chat for hours if I had time during my shift, anything to make her experience as comfortable as possible. Having medical issues and not being able to help yourself is such a vulnerable state for anyone to be in. So, when I came into her room one day after she hit the call button, she seemed almost hurt to ask me to get a female CNA to help her go to the bathroom instead of me while being extremely apologetic, saying that it "wasn't personal." You know what I said? "Absolutely! Don't you feel bad at all! Your comfort is what I'm here for." I went and got a female CNA right away.
So yeah, anyone saying he was "just doing his job," have a random dude break into your house and vape while he watches you sleep and let's see how happy and willing to let him do his job you are.
If I were in that situation and could, he would've gotten .45 milligrams of American steel.
    Stay safe, mads.

21:54 I DIED. I feel I'm right there with you in that moment. This is just criminal! Also,200bpm while just sitting in bed (the other day you described) is WILD. It must feel so aggressive and scary. As someone with relatively mild tachycardia not nearly as bad as yours, I now understand what you go through a bit better. I'm so sorry and send you the biggest hug 💗

@@COYBIG1967 I guess heavy drug over - dose or an intense fight or flight reaction can give you a close heart beat. But while just waking up in bed??? Imagine the level of anxiety this brings and the strength it takes to keep yourself calm during it. I wish I could be with Maddie in every moment like this supporting her. God this is heavy.

  • @May_003
    @May_003 7 місяців тому +4

i burst into tears when you said the female nurse was telling you "maddie, you don't look good, your vitals are low". i was told once at the ER by a nurse that she was "surprised i hadn't died of a heart attack / of my extremely low pressure" when i woke up in hospital. i was trying to understand what she was saying, i was loopy, confused, nauseous, and bloody scared. i didnt know where i was. and i was alone, like always. that was the scariest experience of my life, i was weak and helpless and all these doctors and nurses were injecting stuff on me. i wont ever forget that night.

stories like these, as a chronically ill person who has seen a lot of very inappropriate doctors and has been hospitalised and has had surgery with general anesthesia, makes my skin crawl and blood boil of fear and anger. i dont know what these doctors could've done to me or did to me when i was asleep after the surgery. and i have read stories of SA from doctors or nurses to patients (and seen disgusting footage) these are people who are supposed to take care of us........

1 definitely you can sue the company. For them to say he’s away so you can’t is nonsense.
At first I thought he rushed in to help you but as I listened and realised he’s not EMS and broke in round the Back this became really scary.
Honestly I think this should be a police matter.
Let’s say he broke in to help why would he stand there staring , wow that’s scary.
    So glad you’re safe .
I d on t know what the specifics are around your home but if you can maybe you can get a personal alarm that you can hit it worried .
Please try not to let it scare you too much.

As much as I love the medical field this is completely neglects!! Don’t give up because you may not be the only one. No matter what they say you know what’s right for your own peace and healthy. I hope you find a better understanding caring home care because you truly deserve especially if it’s for your heart healthy!

Holy shit Mattie, i am sorry you had to go through this. When i needed a home health nurse, she was awful, so much so that one day, she was late, and i needed my meds at a certain time. Mind you both, my parents are in the medical field. So my dad calls her and she felt like he was threatening her so she quit. My dad started the meds and the day we had a new nurse. I dont understand people who dont know what they are doing, in the medical industry.

This is so terrifying! I'm sorry you had to go through that. You should press charges it sounds like their trying to silence you, plus it's scary to think that this could happen to someone else. They'll try and shame you into feeling bad but these kinds of people do not care about anybody but themselves and their company.

Ugh Maddie I am SO sorry you've had to go through this! I hope these people are held accountable and that you can maybe move to a more reputable company in your area. Maybe they'll be more careful now that you are sharing these stories.
