Watch Don's restored '67 Corvette: • 1967 Chevrolet 427 Cor...
I have a 1967 Corvette L79 Coupe in my garage. It’s a 3-time NCRS top flight car.
Don this is great stuff! Tad seems pretty down to earth given his title.
That burnout looked cool as hell!!
Can’t get enough of the C2’s!!! Best Corvettes EVER!!!!! Hopefully I will have one one day!!!!!!!
Mid year Corvettes (63-67) are some of the best “old” cars to drive.
They are better in most ways, I feel than the 68-82 models.
I have been fortunate enough to have worked on, restored and driven many over the years.
If you get a chance to drive one or ride in one don’t pass it up.
In 1966 the L72 was rated at 450 HP until the insurance companies started to yell. So, in the fall of the production year, Chevrolet de-tuned the L72 427 to 425 HP by changing the sticker on the air filter to read 425 HP. Now if anyone wanted to pick up the missing 25 HP all they had to do was get a 450 HP sticker and put it over the top of the 425 HP air cleaner decal.
Someone told me it was the first automotive recall on a sticker
Don't know if they recalled them or not, I kinda doubt it. And I think the L36 (hydraulic lifters) was rated at 400hp and they lowered it to 390hp at the same time.
I love thses little videos...
Beautiful Corvette, Don! Very cool.
Omg, the sound is perfect!👍👍😎 No power steering, on the road was great in my 70 LT1.
Nicely done
A c2 convertible is my all time dream car. Just sucks I'll never be able to afford one
very nice at that time i could play in the back
I
what is the value of this car?
$50K plus... depending upon a number of factors...
I guess I do prefer the split rear window.
Only corvette people like the split window. I am
Not a corvette person and to me a 67 427 tripower is the best corvette.
I did too. But a roadster is cool too...
Drives like an old woman. Can't find the accelerator?
not at this point 'eh lol thank you
Waste of time. Pop needs to floor the pedal to the headlights and curly needs to shut up.
What a horrible series, the guy in the passenger seat has that squeaky old man voice and he won't shut up for a second! They don't even talk about the motor at all, not a word, instead they just find everything they can to complain about. Terrible!
bitch
Please watch the video at least three times before starting your complaints... You do not understand anything and you are greatly welcome to shut up Mister DevineEnterventioN. Terrrrrible !
reporter is too old
Great Video only on problem- it's not a ( C-2.)....it's a M I D Y E A R !!!!!!!!-NERDS!
John doe Yup. That drives me crazy when I hear that. '53-'62 are solid axle, '63'-67 are Stingrays, and '68-'82 are Mako Shark.
The stingray didn't come out till 1969 and lasted till 1976.
Wow! All of the bad info people post on You Tube. All ‘63-‘67 are considered a C2 (2nd Generation) Corvettes and that is a fact. ‘63-‘67 were the first Stingrays and that is another fact.
john thonig Yep my mistake in print. I have owned and driven them for 50 years this year. Purchased my first a ‘67 Vert. in 1970 at three years old. I was 19 years old at the time and only paid $2100 for it then. I still own a ‘67 C2 Coupe and a ‘73 C3 Coupe. On the C3 Coupe it is spelled “Stingray”. Strange why Chevrolet spelled it in 2 words on the C2 when it means the same thing on the C3. Especially since the C2 and C3 use the same frame in both cars basically made the same way. The only real difference in both cars are the bodies of the car and interior. 4spd shifters are even the same. Some minor differences under the hood.
The C2 drives like a truck, rides like crap, handles like an old truck, leans hard and has poor directional stability. Steering is extra vague and without any feedback. Brakes are only passable by today's standards.
Are we in a provocative mood? Chill and don't forget to take your pills. The reply to all you said is exactly the opposite. Easy as that and no, I'm not going to prove that I know what I'm talking about.
lol I own a 64 roadster so I am biased
John Adams is right, yet I want one more than just about any other car.
yes its a mans car
The late C1 are even worse didn't even offer a big block but they are still my favorite Vette.
