@@MemoristCed I, too, am a parent and understand this completely. I somehow managed to get mine to reach adulthood, but it was kind of touch and go there for a few moments. (She's a good kid, really.)
If yours haven't hit "the final milestones as a kid yet", it's a fun ride, but beware of ninjas with knives and onions around the final bends. It's a bittersweet experience.

@@MemoristCed I'd tell you to blame the Jackass TV series, but as a former teen boy, I can tell you that they'll probably be doing that even without any outside media influence.
The good news is that there's a good chance they'll outgrow it, if they survive to adulthood. My advice is punishment should be a 500 word paper into subjects like "Safety practices of Hollywood Stuntpersons Union" and "diseases caused by head trauma" (Lots of studies on former NFL football players for that last one.) You'll need to keep an eye on them to make sure they're not letting ChatGPT do the heavy lifting on those.

Antrius: Okay I know I've only learned Elvish on the cushions, but DAMN that was bad. And we know it was bad because I was NOT the one to antagonize everybody.
I think we need to take a moment to appreciate that, for once, not only was Antrius not the one who caused issues this episode, but he also had a hand in defusing the situation.

I feel like Antrius is only just starting to use magic because up until this point he was so focused on banging everything that moved and didn't move that he completely forgot he could even use it. Then he used it by accident and went 'holy shit, I could make my life SO much easier'.

The ranger's voice is what sweet dreams are made of. Besides, that is the most realistic depiction of a human learning elvish, as it is usually hinted that elves are considered adults at 75 years old because they have to study for years the elven culture and language.
100, and it is not to study as their minds are keener than those of Humans, it is because their years pass slower. I refer you to "Morgoth's Ring", and "The Nature of Middle-Earth".
@@PalleRasmussen but we are not talking about Arda, but about the average setting for D&D. I Read Races of the Wild, which Is far more appropriate than Morgoth's ring in this case.
@@federerlkonig330 I know, but Tolkien is the father of the genre, so I will always use his work. His Elves are way OP for D&D though. Especially as depicted in those two books.

@@Mojo_3.14 Bards are Charisma casters, so naturally they get a high bonus to skills like persuasion, so that's likely what he's been doing this whole time.
Can confirm the high charisma... My fairy bard has a +12 on persuasion. At level 9.
