Carmack and Shep K9 Track

This call was featured on last night's episode of #LivePD. We wanted to provide you the footage from a first hand perspective! We believe #LivePD is so important in showing the conditions and hard work our men and women face and put in every single shift.
The call begins with Deputy Carmack and K9 Shep being called to assist Port Richey PD with a male who crashed a vehicle into a pole and fled on foot from a PRPD Officer. Prior to running, the suspect was observed by the PRPD Officer grabbing an object from the inside of the vehicle.
Deputy Carmack and K9 Shep tracked the suspect finding him in some brush. While giving the suspect commands a silver object, which Deputy Carmack believed was possibly a firearm, was seen in the suspect's right hand. With K9 Shep's assistance, the subject was detained.
K9 Shep was praised afterwards for his well done track. We also want to highlight the relationship shared between Deputy and K9.
The suspect had 54 prior arrests in Pasco.
Through rain, storm, and thick brush, K9 Shep cannot be outrun.
