  • Today, I’ll be sharing another easy and fool-proof method to make springy and chewy Yellow Noodles, also known as “Mee Kuning” in Malaysia. All you need is a rolling-pin to make the dough, and a pasta machine to roll out the noodles into your desired thickness and cut. I think a pasta machine is a great investment, especially for those of us who enjoy making noodles, pasta, etc., from scratch!
    These noodles are great in soups or stir-fried. I’ll link a few recipes where I’ve used these noodles, as well as share a couple of new ones to follow (make sure to watch out for those!) Thank you for watching and for your endless support!!
    Yellow Noodles
    Ingredients
    300 grams All-Purpose Flour
    1/2 tsp Sea Salt
    A Big Pinch to 1/4 tsp of Turmeric Powder
    2 Large Eggs
    1 Tbsp of Vegetable/Rice Bran Oil
    1 to 2 Tbsp of Water (adjust accordingly)
    Yield: About 430 to 445 grams of Noodles or About 800 to 820 grams of Cooked Yellow Noodles

    In this current fast-paced world making your own noodles is a luxury. Some people don't even cook at home, some even go further just to order Uber foods delivered to your doorsteps, so convenience that encourages laziness.

    I would suggest to have a good mixing you have to mix the ingredients all in one container before adding to the flour.that way it will balance the distribution of it.

    I have ordered a pasta machine (same brand but without the motor) in May. But still have not received it. The pandemic must have something to do with the delay 😬

    How much the turmeric powder ?

    • @Seasaltwithfood
      @Seasaltwithfood  3 роки тому +1

      Sorry about that! It ranges from a big pinch to 1/4 tsp. It really depends on how "yellow" you want your noodles to be, without the turmeric taste.

    I have some tears in my eyes. Good women (now becoming increasingly rare) really know to how to fill a man's heart by being modest and letting their kitchen skills show their value. Plus, this is a healthier alternative to modern over processed packaged food. Not to mention, this channel's other videos of fancy foods are a much cheaper option than over-expensive restaurant foods.

      @@Seasaltwithfood Sounds a little patronizing and misogynistic to me. 1990 called, they want that comment back. Women don't cook for men. They cook for their families, themselves, or just for fun. Not just to please a 'man's heart' or to "show their value'. @Progress and Peace 1 Get a grip, and check the calendar, it should say 2020 for the year. @Flavours of Asia: You are an amazing cook and a skillful chef (not measured simply by your usefulness as a women) and you deserve a more dignified comment that what he offered. Thank you for generously sharing your knowledge with anonymous strangers on UA-cam.
