How To Make No Knead Yellow Noodles Mee Kuning
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 жов 2020
- Today, I’ll be sharing another easy and fool-proof method to make springy and chewy Yellow Noodles, also known as “Mee Kuning” in Malaysia. All you need is a rolling-pin to make the dough, and a pasta machine to roll out the noodles into your desired thickness and cut. I think a pasta machine is a great investment, especially for those of us who enjoy making noodles, pasta, etc., from scratch!
These noodles are great in soups or stir-fried. I’ll link a few recipes where I’ve used these noodles, as well as share a couple of new ones to follow (make sure to watch out for those!) Thank you for watching and for your endless support!!
Yellow Noodles
Ingredients
300 grams All-Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp Sea Salt
A Big Pinch to 1/4 tsp of Turmeric Powder
2 Large Eggs
1 Tbsp of Vegetable/Rice Bran Oil
1 to 2 Tbsp of Water (adjust accordingly)
Yield: About 430 to 445 grams of Noodles or About 800 to 820 grams of Cooked Yellow Noodles

In this current fast-paced world making your own noodles is a luxury. Some people don't even cook at home, some even go further just to order Uber foods delivered to your doorsteps, so convenience that encourages laziness.
I couldn't agree more. Thanks for your support :-)
I would suggest to have a good mixing you have to mix the ingredients all in one container before adding to the flour.that way it will balance the distribution of it.
Good 😊👍 more videos
Sure 😊
can we replace vege oil with any other oil?
Om itu yg buat muter hrgnya brp
I have ordered a pasta machine (same brand but without the motor) in May. But still have not received it. The pandemic must have something to do with the delay 😬
The price of the machine has gone up too!
Flavours Of Asia 😬
Terlalu lama menunggu
Pls give me price electric noodle machine
Can use plain flour?
Yes, absolutely
hi can i share your vid in my tiktok? i'll make sure to insert credit :)
Sure! Just make sure to credit and share the link with me too! :)
How much the turmeric powder ?
Sorry about that! It ranges from a big pinch to 1/4 tsp. It really depends on how "yellow" you want your noodles to be, without the turmeric taste.
Can the oil noodles be freeze please?
I'm sure it's possible, but I haven't try that.
No need lye water?
No.
Ok. Because I thought it would make the texture more “Q”
@@applelim7360 You can achieve "QQ" texture with this method. :-)
I have some tears in my eyes. Good women (now becoming increasingly rare) really know to how to fill a man's heart by being modest and letting their kitchen skills show their value. Plus, this is a healthier alternative to modern over processed packaged food. Not to mention, this channel's other videos of fancy foods are a much cheaper option than over-expensive restaurant foods.
Wow, thank you! You're very kind :-)
@@Seasaltwithfood Sounds a little patronizing and misogynistic to me. 1990 called, they want that comment back. Women don't cook for men. They cook for their families, themselves, or just for fun. Not just to please a 'man's heart' or to "show their value'. @Progress and Peace 1 Get a grip, and check the calendar, it should say 2020 for the year. @Flavours of Asia: You are an amazing cook and a skillful chef (not measured simply by your usefulness as a women) and you deserve a more dignified comment that what he offered. Thank you for generously sharing your knowledge with anonymous strangers on UA-cam.
I hate the egg part !
I really wouldn't go through THIS much trouble for a noodle which is just 90cents a pack😁
Yellow noodle is not easy to get in some places especially in some countries.
@@applelim7360 well, if that was the case then maybe it makes sense. Though I would only go through this amount of effort for Ramen or Udon noodles only
@@applelim7360 Agree! Not easy available and taste diff over here too. Too much addictive & colouring.
I hear you...but can't get them at 90cents over here (Vancouver)
we also miss these noodles as cant get in Pakistan anywhere thanks dear for sharing recipe. will must try.
