    I was fishing a smaller bucktail for white bass and was catching alot of fish. Then a big striper hit and he had big head shakes then he took off!! Ive never felt such a strong fish in my life!! I fought her for 15 20 minutes and finally landed her and released her. Beautiful fish and strong

    Hello John Skinner, first off thank you for all your videos and books they're great! I wanted to ask you a question, what type of molds do you use to make your jig heads and where did you get them? Thank you very much, I hope to hear from you!

    I've just got a penn prevail 9ft with a bg 3500 on it with 30lb braid. I just bout a bone, green mackerel and a yellow and white sp minnows. Also got a few bucktails in a ounce and a half, an ounce, and had a few half ounces. But would live more from you and just pick your brain and have tsunami sand eel I think the 7-9 inch forgot which size though all this gear is because of you(as in lures being bucktails and the sand eel) I look at you as a person who I'd love to have as a mentor haha. But I just got today the fat cow 5 inch blood red split tail. So just moved to the south east sector of CT. so it should be fun. Thanks for all your videos and hope florida is treating you well.

    Hey John,
    Big Fan. Bought all of your books, subscriber to your UA-cam channel. I just heard Uncle Josh is discontinuing production of their pork rind. Any advice on what to substitute with? Thx.

    Thoughts on soft plastics/pork - should they match the jig color, or is it good to add an opposite color?

    Hey John, why do you always use a swivel for your leader? Why don't you just tie direct?

    • @JohnSkinnerFishing
      @JohnSkinnerFishing  8 років тому

      +Doug Schantz Do you mean the clip to attach the lure or the swivel to attach the leader?

    • @dtbs888
      @dtbs888 8 років тому

      swivel between the braid and leader

    • @dtbs888
      @dtbs888 8 років тому

      There's a multitude of knots guys are using to tie braid to a fluorocarbon leader (albright, double uni, etc.) and I was curious why you seem to stick with the barrel swivel?

    • @JohnSkinnerFishing
      @JohnSkinnerFishing  8 років тому +1

      +Doug Schantz My personal preference that I perceive the swivel connection is stronger.

    • @JohnSkinnerFishing
      @JohnSkinnerFishing  8 років тому

      +Squirly Bringer Those are fine, but I use the longer shanked 34184 hooks. They make it much easier on the hands when handling a lot of fish.
