I really want this for the Sepulchral Guard Rivals deck and new character cards, but as someone who bought two copies of Sepulchral Guard because both my son and I wanted to paint them, this will be one set too many. Like Drepur's Wraithcreepers, another deck I really want but probably cannot justify getting. :(
The rulebook does not address the old version of the warbands at all, is that right? So we'll have to wait for an FAQ to understand if the old cards are invalid or how that works I guess.
I just bought this game. I don't know anything about how to play. My LGS told me this is more of a boardgame than Warhammer 40k is strategy. I like that I like the idea of something a little less complex til I understand stuff much more
The warband/fighter cards are new or at least updated (with a lot of rubbish older cards replaced with better ones). Rulebook is new as are the tokens but the boards are recycled from previous releases (not the previous starter box)
@@Drogwin to be fair to GW now that’s less of an issue as they put the rules online so the 2 core boxes a year are much more optional than they used to be (esp now there’s no universals like there used to be)
I quite like this: the release schedule is aggressive as is (for me, someone who only plays this casually), so the completionist in me is happy I can skip this one, already having these Shadespire warbands. If I get the itch to play the skeletons or the farstriders I think I might just print out the updated cards. I would have bought a deck containing just the cards though!
The way they’ve structured it now is better, no pressure to buy warbands just for universals etc. if you see a warband you don’t like you don’t have to get it now
As someone who didnt have these warbands or these boards, im happy not to have to pay scalper money for some of the earlier warbands
This product is for newcomers like yourself. And represents great value.
£32? For a great introduction to possibly GW's best game? I'd say it's worth it 😊
Reckoning you might be right there!
I'm going to pick this up. The Farstriders are they only stormcast warband I'm missing.
Thank you for this one!
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
Two new (old) warbands with up to date rivals decks for €45. Sign me up!
It’s not a bad price
Thanks guys. I'll be recommending it for new players. Keen for your warband vids to see if petitioners actually get names among other things :)
Not long now...
@@AgentsofSigmar Wish they had used your names. :)
Us too!
Did the warbands from other starter sets get a 'champions of' style release?
A lot of them did, though gnarlwood hasn’t yet 🙁

You might find it’s cheap enough to be able to sell the models online etc and not be too much out of pocket?
I need this for the Farstriders rival deck
Proxies 🥰
proxies are alright though we all like owning the proper thing a lot of the time, I think the box is worth it for all the content really
@@AgentsofSigmarsure it is to new collectors but not for me who owns the warband and the boards allready im affraid.
Yeah that is a problem with this release. I would love to see some sort of card pack update but I'm sure we won't get one (Robin);

Correct, right now we have no idea how GW plans to address the old vs new warbands, or whether they plan to at all

Welcome to the fold! Underworlds is easy to learn but has lots of tactical depth. I'm sure you won't regret picking it up.
The updated current rivals decks n base cards for the old bands sells it for me. Only reason really
It’s probably the best reason for most people. But it’s also handy for newcomers to the game too which is a bonus
Is this all new product or repackaged old starter?

Farstriders were strong in seasons 1&2, i wonder if a dedicated rivals deck makes them a good option once more?
We think so!
It seems like in a blink of an eye a new box set is released every few weeks 😂
Soooo many boxes!
The one reason underworlds lost my interest, having to buy 2 boxes each year to be up to date with rules just is not my thing
