Matt they make a special.tip for continuous flow applications for the hyd return, it looks just like a regular tip but it's got like 4 or 5 holes drilled at the very end of the tip around where the pressure ball would be, on this tip the middle is flat because all its doing is pushing on the hyd tip inside the remote on the tractor, the hyd oil just free flows then through the drilled wholes at the end of the tip, I use one on my JD 7340 planter for hyd return and it works really well!!
You should have your Hyd motor return hose going to a case drain, then you could power the fan motor with power beyond, there is a iso pioneer tip that has holes instead of a ball for return
Matt if you were seeding in chopped residue such as a chopping corn head. Would it help, or is it really not necessary? Thank You for the information Very good content.
I probably missed an earlier video, how does chicken litter fit in your post harvest flow? It seems the drill is doing some nice residue sizing as a bonus. I'm looking at it for next year in either no-till or strip till. Thanks.
Hello, Matt. I have a question for you, how do you farm in a environmentally friendly way? I heard that organics are good, but I have also heard that intensive can be good as well. Could you please explain to me which one is actually better and why?
Might want to fold those steps up on the back of the tanks. looks low and bendable. I know would end up bending them with my luck. Enjoyed the video though.
Don’t know where you heard Bourgault metering grinds soybeans? We have planted soybeans with a Bourgault system last 5 years as well as our planter and no noticeable difference on damage or even emergence. Plant mortality not an issue and I don’t see seed coat in my tank sump.
Too much headache and not worth the outrageous price for what simple American equipment can achieve if you know how to maintain it and set it. I'd give that thing back.
Looks great Matt! Very impressed with how that row unit places your seeds in direct corn residue!
First and foremost is how is Kelly doing!!!
Looks like a Sod Buster Jr. knife there. Thanks again for a great demo video. Very thorough.

Excellent video and review of all the features and performance of the tractor pulling the implement!
That's some tuff conditions you're planting into. Looking forward to germination results.
I like that sod buster you use in the dirt
Will you still use your drill.for the tight paths between some of your feilds?
Should see if you can get a demo on a bigger new Holland or a case
That John Deere drill would look good behind the 4440
🤣🤣🤣

There’s way too much to type now. I suggest you go back and watch my videos deal g with cover crops, tillage, and chicken litter
Wod the drill work more effectively is you took a brush hog over the residue first ?
Ole Skool #2023
Is 20:21 a hint of things to come???
Matt, will you mow down the corn stalks after you plant to help with the break down of the residue?
No
@@griggsfarmsllc I see that. I asked the question before the video was over.
Big red Massey Ferguson would work and look great pulling that seeder only down side is it may not be able to handle the power of a Massey Ferguson

im from michigan ive never seen anyone direct plant into corn cover crop or not
Why can’t you just return flow to a case drain all we use for air seeder on a John Deere 7rs 3/4 fittings on both end
Charge pump wouldn’t keep up if you dump it right back into the tank
Should have looked at Horshe air seeder looks like a simpler design.
It's a demo
What happened to your eye fella did.you make kelly mad
'Tough of conditions as yer going to get.".. $$$$ price per acre. If you had to work (seed) in GREY WOODED SOILS after rains you would say WTF!!
Would love to try a bourgoult but no dealer in kneebraskastan. After listening to Mike Mitchell the seed meters sound like they like to grind soybeans

I like your comment, but I have to add "different strokes for different folks".
